Eloise Nichols Grill + Liquors
Well done but never overdone, where drinks are a food group, late-night is a staple, and quality is a given. Come when you can and stay as long as you’d like.
Please call the restaurant for parties of 9 or more to make reservations.
Reservations are not necessary for Saturday and Sunday brunch. It is suggested that larger parties call the restaurant ahead of their arrival.
It is a little bright for a date night
Wonderful brunch and cocktails, Charming waitstaff and beautiful ambiance
This is one of my favorite neighborhood restaurants. The food is delicious and the service is attentive. Highly recommend.
This is my favorite casual business lunch spot! Great food and atmosphere that is perfect for a business meeting.
Delicious brunch & cocktails! Attentive and courteous staff.
Chorizo omlette was delicious!!
Fantastic little restaurant focused on service and food. Quaint and dynamic along with exceptional service. I mean, who apologizes for making fresh tea? This is a place to be cherished.
The burger and salad lunch combo was excellent!!
The food was fantastic as always!
I've been a few times and have always been really impressed. I went in for brunch with some friends and the chicken and waffle dish was not as good as all other dishes I've had on other visits. I will say, service is EXCELLENT, our waiter was perfect and very intuitive. I was with my friends who had two small children and he was spot on with finding us the perfect table where we were not in the way of other patrons and brought high chairs out for us. Atmosphere always great.
Our waiter, Myles, did an excellent job in explaining the dishes and answering questions. The food was creative and well prepared. Great job.
Brunch with friends. Service was good and ambiance.
One of my dinner companions waited 30 minutes for a drink. My chicken was cold.
Honestly the food was not too bad. It was kind of bland but ok. Maybe it was what we ordered. But the ambiance was great. I would recommend to a friend.
Would be nice that when hot tea is served, a spoon is provided. (Used a fork to get my teabag out of the cup.)
Nice quirky restaurant not far from the Galleria, excellent service and innovative cocktails; a somewhat limited menu, but covers the bases and the chocolate hazelnut dessert is a killer.
I’ve always liked Eloise Nichols so far but I had a very average experience lately (wrong order, over cooked and dry shrimps, small portions, slow service...). I’ve mentioned it to the manager who didn’t bother to get back to me. Disappointing, especially from a place I always recommended.
The Breakfast Stack was INCREDIBLE!! Service and ambiance was impeccable!!
This is my 3rd time - 2x for dinner and brunch. I would say I would only recommend to come here for lunch or brunch or if you have small children. The menu looked like a lunch menu rather than dinner. Lights were too bright and it didn't have the same ambiance when we initially came for dinner. Super casual. We were looking for a better dining experience and left early.
pleasant atmosphere; good food; great service from waiter Eric.
We had a change in the number of guests and the hostess was extremely accommodating - thank you!
Food was delicious, and our waiter was excellent!!
Birthday dinner for my mother. The drinks were great, as was the food.
Great place. Food was pretty good!
Excellent food and service. This was our first time. Will definitely go back.
One person had fish tacos and didn’t think they were worth eating. One had poke bowl and liked it.
We've been to Eloise Nichols for brunch several times. The Bloody Marys with bacon and Grapefruit Mamosa were really good. Our waiter was knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. Everything is always spot on.
Great birthday dinner!
My husband was able to go out for dinner for the first time in a while. When our friends would only be in town one night and wanted s to pick the spot, this was it. The options are simple yet creative, flavorful and plentiful and the atmosphere feels like home. We were not disappointed. Our favorites were the Shrimp & Grits, Brussel Spouts and Nashville Hot Chicken. Also like coming there for breakfast!
The brunch is always amazing! The dinner is just ok. The few times I have been the flavoring is a little bland. I must say, the brussel sprouts are out of this world though! Service is always good as well.
The first time we went to Eloise Nichols, it was fantastic. The atmosphere was lively, the service was good, and the food was delicious. This was two years ago, and I’ve been back a couple of times since, and while the food is still good, the service is very poor and the atmosphere just isn’t the same. They don’t focus on the little details that make a dining experience enjoyable, which is what Eloise Nichols is missing. Even at their Adair Kitchen, it seems as if they’d slacked on the little things that make a dining experience enjoyable. As much as I like the food at Eloise Nichols, I don’t really have plans to go back anytime soon.
Great ambiance and a quirky southern menu. We enjoyed the mix of culinary flair, with down to earth basics. The wine and cocktail selections are delightful as well.
Best brussel sprouts in town!
Loved this place! Everything was amazing! Best brussel sprouts I have ever had!
Cocktails were a lovely start to the meal! My sister and I were sat in the corner so it was pretty quiet for most of the evening. Our server was a bit less than attentive which was surprising considering there are other staff members dedicated to bread, water service, food delivery and bussing (and they weren’t that busy) We talked a lot, drank a few, ate a lot, and ended with dessert. It was a very enjoyable evening.
My family of 4 visited Eloise Nichols for brunch. It was our first time visiting and we were pleased. The complimentary valet parking was convenient and the restaurant itself was very appealing. We had the daily muffins and some drinks to start. We had an espresso martini and a Saturday Morning Cartoons to drink. To eat, we had chicken and waffles, a burger, the broccoli and eggs, and the breakfast stack. The stack was by far the best thing we had to eat. It was a fun place and we hope to be back!
The food is consistently good but the service during lunch is not great . Reservations or not, you will wait as they scramble to try and seat you .
We waited 20 minutes for menus and had to flag someone down to take our drink order .
The manager made it right but when you need to get in and out this is not the lunch experience to have .. being stressed if you will have time to eat before heading back to work . Perfect for a leisurely lunch if that is all you had planned for the day . Hope it improves because it is an awesome place .
Chicken & waffles were excellent, as was the salmon hoppin John. Biscuits Benedict were good, but the biscuits were really hard which was disappointing. Service was very good and the place is cute inside. We'd definitely come back.
It was our sisters Brunch and it was my turn to choose the restaurant. I had been several times with friends. My favorite is the Shrimp and grits. But this time it lacked flavor and was quite soupy. Was a little disappointed..I bragged so much about it, then this happened. But, overall my sisters enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant and able to talk freely. They said how beautiful the restaurant was and the food they had was good.
