Elm Street Cask & Kitchen
Went with three other friends for dinner. The decor is amazing and I was surprised for a Friday night 7pm dinner that we were the only ones eating in the restaurant for a while. The female server (I have her name but won’t post it publicly) was not welcoming or kind to us. If someone asked for straws for the table, she’d only bring one to the person who asked. This happened 2 times and then we just stopped asking. We came towards the end of happy hour and she didn’t come back by to ask if we wanted anything else until after happy hour had ended. She was no where to be found if we ever needed anything- would go to the back I guess- we couldn’t flag her down bc she wasn’t around. For food- we got a few items. Best was the burger. Everything else was okay. Over priced for the taste and also a very small menu. I don’t see myself going back here or recommending it again.
Great food and drinks for a reasonable price!
Wonderful breakfast on the patio. The food was amazing -- try the Almond Ricotto pancakes - so good you won't want to share!
Pictures online looked great. In person it is just okay. Food was okay.
It was ok, nothing spectacular or remarkable. It is attached Tia hotel
I really enjoyed the food, but the service was pretty poor. I went there for brunch with a group of 8 when there was relatively few other people in the restaurant. Our drinks took longer than they should have for what we ordered and the waitress forgot orders/requests on more than one occasion.
Nice addition to the downtown dining scene. Nothing outstanding but good enough food with good service and a fun atmosphere, particularly when the weather is decent and you can eat on the patio.
The service was subpar, my food order didn't come correctly, drinks took forever to come out and the restaurant was practically empty. I'd never been and decided to try it out. I will not be returning and was sadly disappointed.
Let me start with the positives. The food was excellent, and definitely worth a try. Their whiskey selection is amazing, so if you’re a brown liquor kind of person also a reason to check it out. The issue is that they are new and haven’t balanced out how to staff properly, which hurt the service. If they can figure that part out this place will be successful.
The Mac and cheese was cold when it came out. the "short rib" dinner I ordered was not a short rib. seemed like it was actually a roast. The mashed potatoes that came with the "short rib" plate were bland, almost runny and I first wondered if they might be instant, although I don't think they were. The shrimp and grits were pretty fantastic though. Our server was great, and the drinks were great. Overall, not a fine dining experience and I highly regret spending what I did on the evening. I do not recommend this place if you are wanting a nice dinner.
Good for quick bite. Convenient to majestic and other downtown venues.
Very poor service. No plates given for appetizer, no water glasses on table, slow and innatentive to say the least. We had to ask for absolutely everything. It’s almost as if our waitress was not supposed to be in that role. Food was OK, premium cocktails left a lot to be desired. I do not plan on returning.
Went to Elm Street Cask & Kitchen for Saturday brunch. The ambiance is awesome, the patio on a nice day is likely phenomenal (we sat inside, in the bar area). Prices are moderate. Food was pretty bland, heard other guests request salt and pepper while waiting for our meals. I had the frittata, my boyfriend had the machaca. Just ok, overall. The restaurant was fairly empty and our waitress was pretty attentive. If you’re in the neighborhood check it out but not worth an out of the way visit.
Brought my family here and will not be back. My dad had a giant hair in his drink and my sister’s drink was served in a dirty glass. They delivered multiple wrong items and everything was overpriced. Our server was awful, spilled a drink all over my feet, and was extremely inattentive.
The food was good and the whiskey selection was diverse with very good prices for their pours. We had the pimento cheese dip, flat iron steak and beef short rip. The service was pretty slow even though there were only 4 tables seated in the restaurant with mulitpe servers. Our waiter didn't bring our food, it was a member of the kitchen staff, and then didn't check on us for almost 5 minutes afte the food was delivered. I ordered a drink off the menu and they were unable to make it because they didn't have eggs (the drink required egg whites) and Prichard bitters, both very common ingredients. I was able to overlook everything as the hiccups of a new restaurant opening but my main issue was as I was leaving the table next to us asked where thier leftover brussel sprouts were that our waiter was supposed to pack up for them. I was walking out as they asked this and I saw the waiter walk over to the drink station, look around for a few seconds then talk to a bus boy. The next thing he did was start looking through the trash and pulled out a to-go container with their leftovers, put it in a bag and bring it to the table. I was completely grossed out! I waited table for almost 5 years and would never pull leftovers out of the trash to give to a table. Tell the kitchen and have them remake the side dish for the table. I would have gone back but not after witnessing that complete disregard for food safety and the customers trust.
Service was great! The waiter was very attentive! The food was good!
Furniture outside is extremely cheap and constantly rocked. The service was not good at all. When we asked the waiter about a dish he shrugged and said it sells well. Took forever to get waited on and forever to get our check. Food was good, but I wouldn't go back because it was not a good experience.
We were visiting on business. The menu looked great but we were skeptical when we arrived because it was so quiet? But the food was so good!
The restaurant is hard to fine. The building signage is in adequate. Parking is difficult. The valet booth is not easily seen from the street. It took almost 15 minutes to get my car out of valet. There were only two people waiting
Hi. The restaurant itself is great. The food and service were also good. However, it’s inside a hotel and there was nobody there when we went so there was no atmosphere.
Service was awesome! Our reservation was early (4:30pm) however we had to wait quite a while for our meal.
Don’t order the short ribs, as it is actually a HUGE chunk of fat, no real meat...and if you find a small sliver of meat, it has no flavor.....definitely not what you would expect for short ribs. Yuk!
Food was extremely bland- even the ranch.... The drinks were also very weak.
It’s pretty basic to have accurate hours. Who closes for brunch at 11:00? It’s wrong in open table and google. Waste of parking and time.
They're newly opened and need to work out the kinks with service and staff.
Sunday night supper , excellent choice. Good beer and food, smallish menu but I always think that’s good
