Pretty place located in a good area. Food was decent. The service was terrible. Waitress was rude and not attentive.
one of the best burgers I’ve ever had! Loved the live music and overall aesthetic of the place.
Fantastic meal. Branzini was outstanding.
Unfortunately our waitress tried to make our dining experience as pleasant as she could …although it was apparent that her waitressing experience was new for her. I commend her for getting my first cosmopolitan made exactly like I asked. The oysters we ordered were tasty but presentation lacking…served lonely in an oyster platter (that was not chilled nor contained any ice) along with 2 lonely lemon quarters. We had to ask for saltines (which were stale and salt free and not served wrapped but on a plate) We had to ask for condiments. (No horseradish to be found) Carbonara texture was that of elmer’s glue…the steak Diane was tough and the branzini was overwhelmed by a mystery sauce. On a good note, the mussels were uniquely and tastily prepared. We ordered a Spaish liquor desert drink which the bartender created spot on the 2nd time around. On the other hand the second time around for my cosmopolitan was terrible. I asked them to remake it twice. I felt badly for the waitress because the bartender argued with her about the drink. The staff tried hard …..but very disappointed in the food.
Good food, friendly staff and very nice decor. Only criticism is that it took too long to get our drinks and food. It wasn’t busy and we weren’t demanding. Shouldn’t take half an hour.
The lions mane mushroom cake and French toast are “MUST order”s! Such a lovely atmosphere - bright and airy.
But that French toast… I snuck a bite from my friend and will never be the same.
Food was good. Disappointed the menu changed and their carafe price was double what was stated online. Service was x sprig also though.
Experience was amazing. Chef Graham Dodds has a touch with sourcing and preparing vegetables that is second to none. The meat proteins were excellent as the pot roasted short rib was a table favorite.
The hotel looks great. The restaurant looks great. The food was good and the service was horrible. If elm and good wants to be considered a top restaurant the bartender should know about the food and the chef and history of the building and the food server should know about the ingredients of the food. We will give the restaurant another try in a few months
I'm a tough critic... I worked in the service industry for years. Few things I had an issue with. We sat without water for too long. By the time we were acknowledged, we placed our entire order, including drinks. Food came out prior to the drinks hitting our table. The egg on the avocado toast was snotty, not properly poached. Our server was super nice, probably the highlight of the meal. Unfortunately, with very few people in the restaurant, I found it somewhat silly that the bar had such a difficult time keeping up. Not to mention, we sat directly in front of the bartender waiting for water/attention which she could have easily done but she was too busy talking to the artist who was singing there that day.
Tina and I have been to Good and Elm twice for Sunday Brunch and once for Dinner. The quality of food and service has been exceptional each visit. We will definitely go again.
Great Food amd drinks
Enjoyed a great evening with friends! Our server Rainy was great! Food amazing .. and the key lime pie yum.
Servers had no clue- from beginning cocktails to doggie bags. Ambiance and food very good.
Great place for brunch!! Will definitely go again!
Great music, delicious food, beautiful decor and super service!
Pretty low key on a Friday night, food was excellent, its definitely pricey but service is spot on, custom cocktails were lovely
The interior decor and general ambiance was very pleasant. We got the hushpuppies to start with which were delicious, however this would prove to be the highlight of the meal as the entrees were rather bland and did not leave an impression. Servers were polite, although one spilled water on our table, said they'd be right back to clean it and never returned. Disappointing experience at what I was expecting to be one of the best restaurants in Dallas.
The ambience and decor are calming as you walk into the restaurant. Our server was attentive and more than efficient. There were three of us and we all enjoyed our meal.
Our waitress was so bad. She didn’t know what she was doing! After 20 min we still had not gotten our drinks and we called the manager over and he took over from there. She still turned in the drink order wrong and it was literally only tequila and soda - nothing complicated! The manager was great and tried to make things better. The ceviche was good but everything else was just mehh. This is the second time we have been to this restaurant and had terrible, slow service. The first time the food was good though. Too bad because it’s a pretty restaurant.
Nice location. Quiet by today's standards. Food was excellent
Great look and anything that comes out of Chef Dodds’ kitchen is fantastic
One of the best brunches we have had in Dallas!! We had a party of 12 and they took great care of us and we even had a private room. They even had live music! Everyone's breakfast was perfect and not one person had a complaint. The eggs were cooked to perfection and that is a hard thing to accomplish! The decor is fabulous and highly recommend this place!
Good dinner - particularly the delicious hush puppies. Water melon salad was refreshing. Lamb shoulder a bit dry but tasty. We’ll be back.
Disappointing experience. Service was very poor, food was overpriced and taste was mediocre at best. This restaurant is not worth your time, money, or palate. Big fat skip!
Location is near some construction, so not great. Interior design is great, with good vibe, ambience, and lighting. We were expecting mediocre service based on prior reviews, but service was excellent. Very attentive, food and drinks came out timely.
Food was excellent. Drinks were not that strong.
Everything was delicious! Highly recommend. The hushpuppies with okra in them were a standout. We also enjoyed the watermelon salad, the redfish (his) and the chicken (hers) very much. Shared a side of the beets—delish. Tried the clafoutis which was a daily special for dessert— excellent. We want to go back and try more dishes.
Wonderful place. Good food. Great service!
Great singer for brunch.
Awesome! Great add to Deep Ellum.
The riblets appetizer was just enough to take the edge off our hunger, but not spoil the meal. The familiar flavors were perfect for the mushroom paella, and even won over the non-vegetarian. The lamb shoulder special slipped right onto the fork without the use of a knife. The red fish was very fresh and properly prepared for the (picky) eater. Dessert was a unanimous choice of the Buttermilk pie. The sweet whipped cream had a hint of vanilla, and the blueberry compote was perfect.
I loved everything! They even had live music at brunch. The food was wonderful. Loved the bread basket.
Great food and modern ambiance!
Great finish out, ambiance, and food. Service was great (despite several bad reviews) although we were there fairly early. I’d definitely go back.
Wish there were more healthy choices on menu
the food was good but the service was poor. My food was cold and coffee was cold too. And they took forever with the food
The absolute best! Markos was fantastic and very knowledgeable. We got the Burger and the Brisket - the brisket needed no knife! The cherry pie was divine.
Loved it! Perfect place to celebrate an anniversary!
Great place with great food in a beautiful old building
Chef Graham Dodds has done it again. From the moment you enter the restaurant you can just feel the vibe! Elm & Good is a wonderful dining experience for the foodie and the casual diner alike. The menu is small but varied and has something for everyone. Elm & Good is a winner!
