One of the members of my party wasn’t served and when we mentioned to the waiter that her order wasn’t taken. He lied and said he asked her three times if she was ready to order, and she didn’t want anything. That was not true and the entire party was stunned that he lied, instead of saying I apologize for overlooking you. She ended up eating somewhere else.

Michael our server was really great and tried to be accommodating as best he could. However the kitchen staff seemed extremely disorganized. We were sat next to the kitchen bd could hear conversation. Our waiter constantly yelled at the kitchen for our appetizer that took over 25 minutes to get to us. Our entrees came out 45 minutes after ordering. Maybe I have unrealistic expectations but this seemed like a long time. Again our waiter was great and ended up comping the appetizer. The food was pretty good but at that price I was expecting it faster.

Haven't been to a better cafe in a long time; spacious, quiet, classy, clean, architecturally-significant; server Michael was a top pro; has all the makings of a boutique hotel that can be BEST IN TEXAS; needs to be the family destination for weekend music acts somewhere in the hotel to draw upon the rich Deep Ellum music history---for example The Light Crust Doughboys would be the perfect music act for the class setting and would add needed night life to the hotel or dining experience after 8 pm; Elm & Good will be our go-to dining from now on; I'm sure Elm & Good staff and the Hotel are looking into more parking and validation options--

CJ is the best server!! We put ourselves in her hands and she brought us the most delicious items on the menu all evening (the menu is mostly tapas-style). It would be hard to pick a favorite dish, everything was so delicious. She also recommended a fantastic bottle of wine. This is our second time at Elm & Good, Michael was an amazing server as well. Can't wait to return to this beautiful restaurant with the best service, food and ambiance!

I made a reservation for my birthday on 9/24 for 6. They were able to adjust my RSVP to 8 same day. My table was ready on time and they noted my birthday. It took a minute to get drinks but they were all delicious. After picking our food, we were notified that they only serve a limited menu on Sundays and Mondays that is basically: salads, a burger and chicken wings. Very disappointing. If I had know that I would have picked ANY place else in DE. There were maybe a total of 20 people in the venue and service was very slow for everything. I did appreciate the champagne for my group to celebrate my birthday! The food was standard but good. I was booked in a room at the hotel and was very disappointed to find out that room service is only during restaurant hours. Overall a basic experience and a Mid rate.

My wife and I reserved a table for 2 for our 19 wedding anniversary. The waiter was really nice and suggested some amazing dishes and cocktails for us to enjoy. This will be another date night spot for us to visit.

We had a wonderful date dinner after months of family bad news. This was our first R&R dinner in while. The service was amazing, the setting quiet, peaceful and modern and the food was really tasty. This is our second time at Elm and Good and we'll be back for a third!

Ate here for a team event - made the reservation a month ahead. Offered a very limited menu and even ran out of some items so even fewer to choose from. Food was mediocre. Service was decent. Cannot recommend.

We had a great meal, there were four of us. I had eaten there before when we stayed at the Pittman. We had the same server who was very friendly and very attentive. Two people ordered the burger and another had the rotisserie chicken an I had the pasta with short ribs. Everyone was quite happy with the food. Love the atmosphere in there. Decor is so fun!

For appetizers we ordered beef tartare, deviled eggs, and truffle fries. All were good but none outstanding. Three of us were planning on ordering the hangar steak and the waiter suggested sharing the tomahawk. I think I ended up with most of the fat from the steak, so didn't love it. Excellent cocktails.

We celebrated my daughters 25th birthday here with a Sunday brunch. Another spot messed up our reservations but we were able to quickly pivot here. I’m so happy that we did! The live music is so nice to have in the background. We had a private room and they even called to confirm if we were on the way so they could get the table ready. The musician played happy birthday with his saxophone and the host wrote my daughter a personalized card. Food was amazing and the service was superb!! Thank you!!!

We had a nice evening with some friends from out of town. Menu is a bit limited, but we all had something different and everyone was pleased. Cocktails are fun. Highly recommend the charcuterie board for the smoked mozzarella alone.

This was our first visit to Elm & Good. It will not be our last. We went for an early pre-show dinner on a Friday night. The service was attentive & outstanding & the food exceptional. The menu looked genuinely interesting with many dishes we look forward to trying when our time is not constrained. My wife enjoyed the endive salad, loved the dressing. We both thoroughly enjoyed the deviled eggs and I had raw oysters -- they were white & excellent. For dinner we had the two pastas. I would recommend Elm & Good without hesitation.

The inside of the restaurant is really nice and they had live music which was awesome. Upon arrival the hostess could never locate our reservation and the server was nice. However, my husband asked for his meal to be boxed up because he had leftovers and she took the leftovers, but never returned them. I would probably go back here but they still have a bit of work to do as far as the overall service. Not sure I would recommend it to anyone yet.

We won’t be coming here again. Our brunch on Sunday was abysmal. The pancakes were heavy and tasteless, the eggs were poorly prepared, even the espresso was sub par and the service matched the food. It is too bad, because the setting is lovely.

The food was very good, but the service was even better. We came on a day that wasn’t very busy, and we enjoyed the attentive staff. CJ was such a wonderful waitress that we would come back just to see her again. Chef John stopped by our table and impressed us with his interest in how well we enjoyed dinner. We tried both salmon and chicken dishes, along with a charcuterie bord. Both were good. Looking forward to our next trip to town; we’ll be sure to come back.

Reservation was at 830. Took 10 mins for someone to great us at the door. Then once sat another 20 mins for drinks. An hour and a half later we had only received the first course of the special menu. No horseradish or cocktail sauce for the oysters and the endive salad left something to be desired. Drinks were extremely pricey. It wasn’t even that busy but the kitchen and staff were not prepared for Valentine’s Day.

Valentines pre-fixe dinner menu took 1.5 hours to get our first course of oysters. Had to take Valentine’s dinner to go as they finally had entrees ready two hours and 15 minutes in. Staff could not tell us what was going on or even be bothered to check in on us. The food was atrocious. Oysters came destroyed in about 3 different pieces each. My pasta had sauce and my fiancée’s didn’t despite being the same order. The steak was rubbery and inedible and cooked to medium well when ordered medium rare. Throw in a complete lack of parking and it was the worst dining experience I’ve had in years.

I had the absolute worst dining experience in my life. We waiting 1:30 hours to get served a salad. We also waiting 20 minutes for anyone to serve us. Our main course was so disgusting that we didn’t even eat it and requested a refund. I have worked in the food industry and never in my life have I seen it take 2 hours for someone to get a salad. I will never return.

I am a Diamond Elite member traveling for business, staying at the Kimpton-Pittman Hotel. I get free vouchers to come and try this place for breakfast, and the service is terrible. Let's start by me calling the hotel front desk and asking if there was a dress code, "No, not at all, enjoy yourself" to get down there with my husband and Kenneth lets me specifically know that I am not allowed without shoes on, socks on, but no shoes is not allowed, in what OSHA handbook or law does it state you have to wear shoes in a hotel restaurant. You don't it's not a law in the entire US. For the rest of the time here ordering our food after we got shoes, he didn't speak to us the entire time, wrote down our orders, never gave us refills and tried handing me a check. Not realizing I was a diamond elite member and I don't have to pay him his 78$. Lesson learned the staff (Kenneth) in particular is very rude and disrespectful, not a friendly casual environment like they say. We did not "enjoy" the experience. My husband and I both got the American Breakfast, over easy eggs are full cooked, scrambled eggs are left watery, potatoes have no flavor, the bacon was great, served with a side of arugula that's sour and bitter, they won't ever give you a refill they keep water at your table, and they'll give you a side plate of different sauces that stay out and set for hours and it's bad. Don't eat it ! Rude service and poor quality food ! We are very disappointed!

The preset menu for NYE was terrible. The menu was not posted online, but we figured it would be good no matter what dishes were being served. However, we were very wrong. The first two courses were average to good. The 3rd course had bones in the pasta and then the main course was basically inedible. The venison was meh, the mashed potatoes were nasty and sweet, and the mushrooms were slimy and flavorless. The service and ambiance was very good and our waiter was great, but that did not make up for how bad the food was. I expected much better food for the price and I was severely disappointed. I would not come back.
