Tabatha was an amazing waitress. She was very knowledgeable, accommodating and personable. She engaged us AND our teenagers. Made them feel very mature. We highly recommend her and will ask for her every time. Was definetly worth the 2 hour drive from Buckhannon Wv and was a nice start to our concert evening. Cannot wait to come back again.

Regarding food: I got the short ribs and pasta and it was excellent. My wife got the steak frites and quite frankly it was very disappointing. While it was cooked perfectly, the cut of meat itself was poor quality, way too much grizzle. In all seriousness, she's had better steaks at Cheddars. And at that price, it was definitely far from worth it. Regarding ambiance, we realize it was a Friday night but at times it was so noisy it was very difficult to have a conversation across our small table. What I intended to be a nice birthday dinner out with my wife turned out to be a very big disappointment. Of special note, our waitress "Tabitha" was excellent. Her professionalism, attentiveness, and sweet demeanor definitely was the best part of our dining experience.

Excellent food and service. However, beware that the acoustics are not great in the venue. We were seated next to a very loud table of 12 women in their twenties and it was very loud.

Fantastic experience! Excellent service! My husband and I loved the salmon special and the lamb osso bucco. Salad and bananas foster were also great! We’ll be back!

Delicious spiced apple martini. Had the steak salad for dinner with their house made ranch dressing. Looking at other guests plates there were so many things I would love to come back and try.

Great dinner before the concert and it was our son in law s birthday. Good and atmosphere wonderful but I almost froze to death. Would enjoy it much more if I wasn’t shivering!

They have changed the gnocchi. We’ve been frequent customers and didn’t know. When we expressed we didn’t like the food, all they did was offer to make something else. Well, I was already eating my meal, so of course my husband didn’t want to wait another 30 minutes for another meal. They didn’t remove it from the check. After this happened, the server seemed uncomfortable. $160 check and thanks to Burger King on the way home, he was full. Too much money to not be happy with the food. And the menu states the gnocchi is $22. We were charged $24.

Ma'am, Yes, we updated the gnocchi selection a month ago, along with several other supper items and those items are all clearly described on our menu. While it's unfortunate that your husband didn't like the gnocchi alla vodka, both your server AND the owner offered repeatedly to prepare something else for him, to which he declined to both and continued to eat his meal. We did not remove it from your check as he had eaten half the gnocchi and then had the shrimp boxed for home. As a "frequent customer", I'm sure you are well aware of our pricing prior to your visit and your meal which included: a bottle of wine, mussel diablo appetizer, side salad, steak frites and gnocchi alla vodka with shrimp for $160 seems to be fair considering you either ate, or took home, all but a $24 gnocchi.

We were delighted to find such a fine restaurant in the area. Food was excellent, service good and ambience upbeat and inviting. Salad with apple was super fresh and tasty. For entrees we had the scallop and short rib dishes based upon other diner recommendations and they were delicious. Portions were generous as well. We’ll be sure to return when we’re back in the area. I highly recommend this place.

Loved our dinner at Elle and Jack's. Food was delicious! We especially enjoyed the braised meatball appetizer. Atmosphere is just lovely and the wait staff was great as well. Will definitely go again.

To be honest my husband and I tried this restaurant a couple years ago and swore we would never go back. Fast forward two years and we decided to give it another try. Boy am I glad we did! Service was excellent and food was outstanding! My only complaint is the ambiance is not great. Tables small and I prefer a restaurant with tablecloths. Also, it would be nice if there were some type of bread or rolls available. This being said, I would still highly recommend trying it out! I am already looking forward to my next meal there!

My scallops with risotto were amazing! Although, for the lamb appetizer price, I was very surprised to see only three rack chops. Small for $26! With that being said, it's still one of the best places to eat in the area

Had a 7 pm reservation. Seated half our party and said they would seat remainder when the table bedside us left? 30 minutes later the other half of our party was seated. Ordered a strawberry Paloma, I think it was truly water and strawberry purée and ice that was it. They did exchange for a glass of wine. Seared scallops and risotto were outstanding, the braised short ribs were very good, the lemon chicken was ok. The chicken Alfredo was ok and the EJ burger was good. Unfortunately the lamb shake was extremely tough although the risotto it was on was very good. Service was mediocre.

We ate sides and starters for our meal and everything we ordered was delicious! Drinks were great, as well. Good service, too. We ate outside so I can’t attest to noise level inside. Looking forward to coming back to Wheeling for a night out at Elle & Jacks and a show at the Capitol Theater which was a five minute walk from the restaurant.

If you get the opportunity to eat here, go! E&J is the best. Tonight, I ate the Jamaican curry shrimp. It was awesome! The servers and bartender are exceptional.
