Ellden's Grill & Banquet is on the grounds at River Oaks in Grand Island. The menu at Ellden's Grill & Banquet changes with the seasons to take advantage of fresh, seasonal ingredients. Ellden's has become our go to restaurant for fish fries. The staff and service is outstanding and very personable.

Food is always excellent. This time with the Oktoberfest menu I had the pork schnitzel; it was good but would have been better without the mustard sauce. Looking more for no sauce, or a mushroom gravy or even applesauce on the side.

A group of eight friends for lunch. We had great food, great, friendly, attentive service. Cozy golf club bar ambience overlooking golf course.

Broiled grouper and grilled gnocchi entrees were very good. Service was outstanding. A little loud from the golfing crowd, but tolerable. Could use a better wine list, but that's a minor drawback.

We have eaten there three times....this time we had a few issues. My son’s fish fry dinner was barely lukewarm...had to send the baked potato back, as butter wouldn’t even melt. His fish was the same, but he did not want to complain anymore. We waited 45 minutes for our dinners to arrive, had a reservation at 7 pm for 6 people. (Baumgartner) Our second order of drinks did not come, we had to ask our waitress where they were...(? Kirstin) My husband said his fish fry was also barely warm. I asked if I would be able to get my fries “crispy”, and was told yes. When they came, Kirstin said “there are your crispy fries”. My fries looked exactly the same as everyone else’s at the table. So, generally speaking, we were disappointed.

Server was training new staff. We had excellent service. Filet was excellent. Salmon was delicious. Pasta Bolognese was average. Noise level low. Very enjoyable dinner.

Got last minute reservation. We were seated immediately. We ordered the fish fry which was available five different ways. Choice of sides. The battered fish fry was a very large portion. Very good. Service was excellent.
