One of the best meals I’ve had in Fayetteville. The catfish was deeply and richly spiced and the rice and greens were perfectly cooked.
The food and service were excellent. The fried chicken and waffles with sausage gravy was uniquely seasoned and a real treat. I miss the more traditional decor that corresponded with the age of this beautiful inn.
7 out of 8 meals were really great and one was so-so. New chef since March of 2019 has turned things around. Decor has been renovated, service was great. We will definitely return for future meals.
Food was amazing. The 4 of us are still talking about how good it was.
My wife had the red snapper and carmelized brussel spouts and said they were excellent. I had the small filet, ordered medium. It was overcooked, but the rub had good flavor. Sides were good. We also had bananas Foster bread pudding for dessert and it made the meal. Outstanding dessert. We'll give it a try again.
Bid Day and reunion with friends.
The place needs some sort of sound breaks or rugs. I am never bothered by noise, but seemed like everyone was screaming. My girlfriend was laughing about it. We literally were yelling too, because we couldn’t hear each other.
Went there for my girlfriends birthday. The food was amazing and it turned out to be a very special night.
This restaurant is in a beautiful location. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was absolutely delicious. My wife and I both commented that it was one of the best breakfasts we have had. Everything tasted fresh and was prepared well. We look forward to eating at Ella's Table again.
The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, the food was excellent, and our surroundings were absolutely gorgeous! We will definitely be back!
The Sunday brunch we had was below average. I would not choose Ella's for Sunday brunch again.
Quality appetizers/entrees, cocktails, and service. Ella’s Table does not disappoint.
Best it’s ever been. Highly recommend. Quail and chicken were fantastic
Great place with delicious food and drinks!
Average tasting food, small selection, and overpriced. The dining room had a bland vibe with an open floor concept. We went for date night and it might be a better lunch place. The service was great, however. I also had a mixed drink that was made very well and I’m particular. Overall though, I’d say an average dinner venue.
Delicious food and excellent service. Can’t wait to go back!!
Had breakfast there. Service was excellent. My only complaint was that the potatoes that came with my eggs were way too salty and a little over fried.
Busy on Sunday Brunch. Make sure to call ahead
Always delicious and with nice help - and one of the few restaurants where you can hear your tablemates!
Great food. Service was a bit spotty despite it not being overwhelmingly busy. Overall it was a good experience.
We loved our trip to Ella’s. It was so pleasant to sit in a stress free atmosphereand the food was amazing
Always great, and one of the few restaurants in town where you don’t have to shout to be heard. Inside an historicInn at the edge of the U of AR.
Our server Ben was very knowledgeable and delight for us.
Our server was the BOMB!! We celebrated our Daughter's Law School Graduation and had the best time thanks to our service and the food was amazing!
Ella’s menu is small, but unique and tasty with a local Southern flair. We enjoyed the hush puppy and Fried green tomato appetizer and the red snapper special was excellent. We suggest more tables for a livelier atmosphere and a larger menu would be nice. Delicious but a bit on the pricey side. Excellent service. Good for special occasions due to the Carnal Hall ambience and proximity to UA campus.
Very pretty restaurant! Took family for our daughters college graduation. Son enjoyed his steak, daughter enjoyed the chicken, rest of us all had the fish, it was decent but could use more spices. Only thing I would change is they wanted to charge a 15$ fee to cut the cake we brought in, so I cut it myself. Pretty ridiculous when we’re spending close to 400$ on dinner.
We went to Ella’s table for lunch on a Friday. It had been recommended to me by a friend so I was excited to try it. The location is very convenient and parking was easy. The inside is nice, clean, and well lit. Unfortunately, the food and service were sub par. The menu is limited so there aren’t many options. Me and another person at my table decided on the burger but requested them to be cooked differently. They mixed them up when brought to our table. Disregarding the error, the burgers were unremarkable. The same can be said for the catfish and the shrimp and grits. We will not be returning.
The food was good, the service was outstanding. The room was large and could be noisy if full, but the evening we were there was not crowded. The general ambiance is good, but a bit too bright. All in, I will very likely return.
We asked for the chef's tasting menu and had a 5 course meal with wine pairings. Nothing was bad other than we ran out of appetite before dessert arrived.
Recently remodeled, Ellas Table is a beautiful yet simple restaurant with a wonderful ambiance and delicious food. We encourage everyone to try it.
Service was awful. Took an hour to get our food. Served what looked like sausage gravy from a microwave bag that for some reason had green peppers in it. I sent it back & they only removed 1/2 of the cost from the bill. Was a horrible experience & we will not be going back.
The chefs at Ella’s pay attention to detail, presentation, and flavor in a superior fashion. What a treat!
The new Chef and Menu are worth giving Ella's a another try for sure.
First you should know that Ella's Table is located inside The Inn At Carnal Hall on the U of A campus so you don't look for a freestanding establishment in case you're not familiar.
My husband and I had gone about three years ago and thought it was okay. Fast forward and since then they've renovated the interior. The updates are great with just the right touches of wood and some really great new lighting fixtures. They didn't overdo it so it doesn't look like the newest thing you'd see in the trends of the restaurant world.
When we went in, it wasn't too crowded. The company was fantastic and Ella's gave us just the perfect place to have almost four hours of "girl's chat."
Two of us had Roasted Chicken Breast and they had no problem exchanging my potato gnocchi for Brussels Sprouts. The chicken was prepared just right. I think everyone was happy with their food. The Smoked Ham Hock Raviolis looked divine (and they also had no problem subbing out the Collard Greens for Brussels Sprouts on that one either).
Two areas for improvement: I did think it smelled a little funny at the Inn, not sure what it was, but it threw me off a bit. You also have to go outside of the restaurant and downstairs to use the restroom. First world problems, I suppose.
Overall a great experience, great food and would definitely recommended!
Food was very good and very well presented. Enjoyed the staff and atmosphere. Soft music would be nice.
Enjoyed a nice meal in a quiet atmosphere. Filet, short ribs and fish entrees were all great with wonderful service.
My mother and I went in to enjoy a Sunday brunch and were genuinely delighted with the atmosphere and customer service. Although our eggs were a little undercooked and potatoes were cold. They were out of the salmon tartine which was our first choice. There was bad weather so many the kitchen was a little scrambly. I was disappointed in my food but I want to come back to try other meals.
The bread pudding was delicious! Coffee was good with cute little pitchers for cream.
Poor value. Far to expensive for the service / food.
Wonderful service and food.
