Great place for brunch and priced right pleasant staff too😊
Great Food and a nice vibe! Only issue was the flies when seated outside. Other than that everything was great!
They ran out of both food options we wanted. Service was very friendly but slow, food was okay. Won’t return.
This is a fun place to eat, with walls covered with folk art and friendly service! We had a reservation and were seated immediately, on time. Our booth was great with high, padded seat backs, which gave us privacy and muffled noise. It had plenty of space for our party of 5. Our server was attentive. He visited often and did a good job keeping us eating and drinking. We did have to wave him down once, but that was because members of our party arrived at different times and the restaurant got very busy. I don't fault him for that. The Doghouse salad with salmon was tasty and fresh. My only minor issue was that the salmon was on the dry side, but I would not let that keep me from coming to this fun place again. The white Sangria was just as I like it. Overall, I and my party greatly enjoyed our visit and we will be back!
Sunday brunch with a limited but delicious menu! You won’t find normal breakfast/brunch fare; however some great southern classics with inventive twists! The southern fried catfish, cheese grits and Bloody Ella with a bbq rib garnish, were all delicious!
Great spot, especially outside tables. Highly recommended. We visit there often.
Overall the food was fantastic - pork chop and brussels sprouts were outstanding, the sweet potato mash was average. I had an old fashioned that was great as well - the age their own on site. Server was very knowledgeable and friendly. Cost was a bit pricey but I don't mind paying when the food is so good!
Great atmosphere, delicious food and great quality, kind staff!
We had the pizza and the Dog House salad. Both fully met expectations.
Exemplary! Food was simply amazing! We sat outside under the shady lovely trees . My friends (who had never been to Ellas) said it was a perfect experience!
Great food and service fun atmosphere with folk art and we were there in Sunday to enjoy the music
Great food. Amazing staff and the ambiance is perfect for an afternoon brunch! I moved to Chicago 6 years ago and I had a 3 day visit this weekend and the only place I needed to eat at was Ella's!
Sunday brunch. Had a great time. Good food and service.
Ella’s never disappoints!! Food and service was outstanding! a Tampa favorite
Amazing comfort food and excellent service! Great atmosphere inside or outside!
Cute restaurant, fantastic food!
Ella’s is singlehandedly the best place to go in Tampa. They have a stellar selection of spirits. They also have a lot of beer if you’re into that sort of thing. Their menu hasn’t changed much over the years but the changes have been ultimately for the better to serve the community. The staff is always fantastic and friendly. In the past nine years, I have never had a bad experience there, and when the workers there perceived my experience to be less than adequate (they never were) they went above and beyond to quell any potential for a bad experience. I can’t recommend Ella’s enough.
Outdoor seating is the best
I can’t say enough good things! Our first time and we will be back. Delicious unique flavors mixed together for yumminess. Fantastic service, neat presentation. And the decor is eclectic and fun.
The food at Ella's has gotten better & better, with more interesting dishes within a southern comfort range. The spicey items are good too! Outdoor seating is well-spaced and cool, service great.
Great outdoor seating. Wonderful food, relaxed atmosphere.
Great time celebrating my hubby’s bday with family! The food, service & drinks were outstanding! See you soon!
I highly recommend that you check out this place in Seminole Heights. I had the beef brisket and the fried green tomatoes. Both dishes were delicious.
Food was more interesting than expected
Very generous “pours” of wine!!!
Fun place. Great menu. Kind and caring waitstaff. Beautiful shaded outdoor patio. Highly recommend.
We've been visiting Ella's since 2014 and have never had a bad experience. The food is excellent, so fresh and flavorful. The service is always wonderful. I love their outside seating area and the quirky decorations. We always bring out of town guests to Ella's for dinner because we know they will have a great experience.
Love the safety measures in place. Enjoyed a delicious meal outside under the old oaks. Also very happy about their vegetarian options!
Wonderfully kitsch and spirited decor with live music, energy and ambiance. Fun spot for patio drinks, unique menu items, and enjoyable overall experience. Oh, and don’t sleep on dessert!
Really nice atmosphere, and the fried green tomatoes are amazing! Even mid-May, the patio is very pleasant to sit on, as there is lots of shade. Really enjoyable and would come again.
Ella’s was excellent as always! Soul food Sundays are always the best!!! ❤️❤️❤️
We’ve eaten at Ella’s many times. It’s consistently good. Always a fun atmosphere.
We had a great time and delicious food. Joe is an awesome server, and definitely recommend the Bloody Mary with the rib!
Hopefully it was just a bad night because we love coming here but the food tonight was very bland.
I think they should develop a specific lunch menu
We had an excellent experience 🎉
Great food and outdoor dining
I’m a big fan of Ella’s, but tonight wasn’t one of my better experiences there. I felt really rushed through my meal, with food coming out so quickly, I had to hand off about 2/3 of my salad to make room for my entree (small table). I also asked about the ingredients of a salad (a special whose ingredients aren’t on the menu), and the server neglected to mention onions, which I can’t eat. My meatloaf was really dry, and the sides were lacking. Server was friendly and great, so no problem there. Just timing and the food coming out of the kitchen could have been much better.
This is my second time at Ella’s. The Don pizza is absolutely delicious! The white sangria was tasty. We sat outside on the patio and enjoyed the weather. The only negatives: flys come out when the food is around and the cigarette smokers. Is that even still a thing?! But negatives aside, I would highly recommend Ella’s and I’ll definitely be back.
Our experience was great, we had a little mix up but the Alton, manager fixed it and we were fine. Will definitely be going back.
Another thing we noticed is that people stayed and visited for a long time. We liked that people and staff felt comfortable staying and not rushed.
