The food was excellent...once we got it but it took over an hour to arrive and even then, 2 entrees arrived 10 minutes after the others. Additionally, it was WAY TOO COLD - we asked for it to be adjusted and nothing was done. Mind you it was 75 degrees outside and a/c wasn’t even necessary.
Food tasted good but wasn’t hot. When we told server he did not offer to replace entire plate. Instead he replaced one item and it still was not hot. When we told him that it wasn’t better he said that they took it to the wrong table ran it back to kitchen and back to us. No comp. disappointing for a $100 meal and drinks.
We have Vegans and every time we've tried to eat there on Sunday, they're out of vegan options. Then we're forced to find another place to eat after we've arrived. They need to put this on the open table site when they run out.
Great food and service. The food was very good. We really enjoyed the outside dinning, and we also enjoyed the live band. Definitely will be a place that I will return and dine again.
We had a great experience for Sunday brunch. Everything was delicious although the chicken in the pot pie didn’t taste seasoned. The pot pie part was still tasty. We’ll definitely be back.
Excellent food, wait staff, and ambiance . Went with our 2 dogs and could not have been treated better.
Great food as usual. Service a bit slow but Sunday brunch so not in a real hurry.
If you haven't been to Ella's yet, you are missing out! This lively hometown restaurant is full of surprises - beginning with the heavy pour of wine to the delicious appetizers. Both start your experience off on the right foot. The dinner selections - of which my party had several - were all incredible! One family member said they had the 'best pork chop I've ever had"! The steak was cooked precisely and the chicken pasta was excellent! So, of course after having everything top notch at this point, we just had to order dessert too. Did NOT disappoint! The key lime cheesecake was heavenly and the pistachio cake was mouth watering. Our waiter was attentive and friendly; the staff greets you with smiles as you enter and leave. A definite 'must' on your list of restaurants to visit!
Great place overall.
From the initial greeting to the final farewell, my three friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our Saturday afternoon experience! Friendly and courteous staff, attentive and helpful well-timed service, and absolutely delectable food and libations, with generous portion sizes. We each ordered something different...including our beverages from the bar and could not have been more pleased. Any special requests were easily and politely accommodated. The atmosphere is wonderfully eclectic, and clearly attended to and well-kept. All staff were masked, searing was well-spaced, and sanitizer readily available. This was a first visit for us all and will certainly not be the last. We have been raving about our experience since.
Always a pleasure dining here! Great food, great people.
Food was great and so was the service. Great atmosphere... live music.
Highly recommend the Sunday menu! It is great and their specialty drinks are great.
A friend recommended this place with wonderful praises. I should’ve known better than to have a later reservation, as it was Valentine’s weekend. When I arrived at the restaurant to check in the hostess showed me what they had for food options which was almost nothing. I was saddened because I chose this place to celebrate. I will come back to try the place out in the future but wish I would’ve known the entire menu wasn’t available besides two entrees. We drove from Lakeland. I am a bartender so I know how this weekend goes. The place was so beautiful though and the hostess was extremely pleasant. I will attempt again on a normal time.
Sucked on Valentine's Day. We didn't even get to eat. They were out of 80% of their menu.
Our only complaint was that they were out of several menu items. Given the fact that this was St. Valentine’s weekend, they should’ve prepared better to make sure their stock was up to the expected demand. Other than that, it was a wonderful experience. The menu was very unique and the food and the drinks were excellent. We will be back to try the things we wanted but we’re not available.
Great night
First time at Ella’s and will be back. Great food and loved sitting outside.
Charlie rules! And the old fashions are the best in Tampa. Also, watch out for the cherry lime-ade. It tastes like kool-aid but it hits like a hammer.
Live music by Leon Majcen was great. Food and service both wonderful. Thank you!
Great outdoor area, great service, and a solid meal.
Ambiance fun; variety of menu selections, great drinks and nicely priced. We had the best time.
Liked the food and retro style. We enjoyed the family dinner. Waitress was awesome!
Wonderful setting, great food!
Cool vibe, friendly service, strong cocktails and amazing food. Our server Chloe was awesome! We enjoyed fried green tomatoes and carrot ginger soup for appetizers, both excellent. We appreciated the attention to detail and fresh ingredients in our dinners, we loved the salmon salad and stuffed chicken. Spacious outdoor dining, funky ambiance, live music all add to the positive experience.
The food was flavorful and well prepared. It was a delight to set on the patio and just enjoy the evening. We will be back.
Fun eclectic atmosphere. The service was excellent! The food was wonderful! Loved the tuna appetizer and the fried green tomatoes. Highly recommend the house bourbon. The whole experience was perfect. We will definitely be back!
I have not had a single item from Ella's that disappointed; everything is made at a high standard and everybody is so kind and joyful. You can tell they put a lot of care into this place, and it definitely comes through in the quality of the place.
Awesome casual dining with a fantastic menu and service!
First time at Ella's with a party of 6 for a Birthday celebration. Very cool place! Love the artwork and decor! The food was out standing! Only issue we had was ash flying down on us (sat outside, was either from a fire or fireworks for Buckaneer celebrations) but other than that, everything was perfect. Will definitely be going back! 😀
One of our favorites Party of 7 - and everyone loved it Great food and service. I had the scallop special with beet puree and greens - delicious.
Great atmosphere and service as always. We love Ella's!
Sunday chicken and waffles
Fun atmosphere, enjoyed the food and ambiance.
Awesome 1st experience; great atmosphere, service, food and drinks were amazing. I would definitely recommend and we'll be back.
Food was bangin! Staff was great! Price wasn't bad. Menu wasn't large, but it wasn't hard to find something we liked
Great food, great atmosphere and great service. We love that you can specifically reserve the outdoor seating. Great place, we will be back!
Really nice little place with a nice patio area. Our food was well prepared and delicious!!
Can’t wait to go back and bring my foodie friends; great blend of food and cocktails
The server took a while to come to our table and bring out anything we ordered or refill drinks, but they did offer ikea blankets for sale as we were sitting outside. It took a while to actually get to order our food, probably a half hour, because of the aforementioned delays, and only when we were ready they decided to inform us that half their entree menu wasn't available which forced 75% of our party to have to reorder. I get business can be unpredictable but there's no way they ran out of 8 dishes in the time we arrived so that was extremely frustrating. Additionally, our reservation was at 7pm on a Saturday, so it seems like very poor planning to be run out before the weekend is over. The burger I had to order, and then have them fix twice, did taste ok though.
