I sought out Ella after reading great reviews. I couldn’t have been more disappointed. The service was very poor - not attentive, disinterested and off hand. Even simple aspects such as getting a drink to accompany the food was difficult.

We did the Feed Me menu for our group of 10. Absolutely delicious. Perfect quantity of food, not overwhelming. Amazing flavours. Nice wine and cocktail choices. Would highly recommend

We are Melbournians that travel to Darwin every July for the food and sun. Ella is by far our favourite restaurant. It’s consistently great in every aspect. Food is outstanding. Thank you Ella for raising the bar!

We had a lovely meal - the food was great, amazing flavours. Prawns / lamb ribs and beef ribs plus a dessert. Unfortunately the service was patchy (but very friendly) which was the only let down. Reasonable value too.

This was my first time dining at Ella and it did not disappoint. I brought visitors from interstate so coming to Ella was a must on the to do list for a Darwin culinary experience. Our group went for the Feed me sample menu with emphasis on vegetarian. Hard to fault any of the dishes or cocktail specials which were a wonderful compliment to our meals. SuSuperb and delicate balance of Sri Lankan and local Darin flavours. Overall, a wonderful and relaxing dining experience. Perhaps the Kiwi fruit curry will make a comeback there someday! Cannot recommend Ella highly enough. Will be back to try more of the protein choices.

From Adelaide, it was our 2nd visit to Ella and was just as good as first last year. Actually sat at the same table (outside). Our meals were memorable and just fabulous. I loved my cocktail which was sipped through a cinnamon stick. My husband I both had 3 courses which surprisingly didn't leave us groaning! The tastes are so different from any other restaurant we have experienced. The restaurant is a credit to Minoli and her staff and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone travelling to Darwin, or of course a local. Thank you again for your wonderful hospitality.

We had high expectations for the meal and every single dish exceeded them. Each dish was complex and flavor, there were spices, but nothing was too spicy and the presentation and building were beautiful.
