Ella & Ollie's
Every year we go to Edisto and this spot is always in our plans. This place is a must! The food is always on point and so is the service. You cant beat it.
The food was good though the menu is a little limited. Service was good and desserts were great!
Very nice dinner...I had the shrimp cake dish which was delicious and more than enough.
Only thing I missed perhaps was an offering of bread while we awaited our entrees. My husband ordered the shrimp cocktail for an appetizer, which he shared, but a bit of bread would have been good.
Definitely— We are here on vacation & it was highly recommended by our realty company!! We will definitely come again!!
We enjoyed another great meal at E & O. My husband absolutely loves the Pecan crusted quail. The food there never disappoints. As a local, I recommend Ella and Ollie's.
Clearly the restaurant was very busy. Even with a reservation, we had to wait 20 minutes for a table. Then we had to wait another 20 minutes to get a glass of water. When we asked for the water after our lengthy wait, we were told there were no clean water glasses!
Food was good as it always is.
Food was delicious ! Neat place in comfortable setting. Candlelight at tables, sat by the bar. Waitress was wonderful, but it just took a long time to get our food. We were in no hurry, however, we got there 15 minutes before our reservation, were seated around 6:35 pm and didn’t finish eating until 8:30 pm. It’s a fun place to dress up or down for a date night. Prices are on the higher side in case you’re looking for a cheap meal.
Service was slow and lacking. Food was high priced and low quality.
Great as always!
Ate in bar area. Lots of good "noise" to lend atmosphere. Service was very good, we were not seen to in a timely way for drink refills. Everything else was just fine. I look forward to returning.
Birthday with six girlfriends
After several years of trips to Edisto with the family, my husband and I finally ventured out to Ella and Ollie's and I'm so glad we did. The food was wonderful, and our server Mary Catherine was delightful and helpful with recommendations. It's peach season, and they shone in both the peach and burrata salad and the peach cobbler (which I'm so glad we relented and ordered for dessert). The fried green tomatoes were excellent, as were the scallop succotash and the fried shrimp. Everything was fresh, perfectly seasoned, and was the grapefruit margarita was just right. We'll be back on our next trip!
Good place. Wide menu has lots of options. Seafood and steaks and pizzas.
You have to drive to a gated community to get there and Google Maps continues to send you through the wrong gates. You'll understand when you try to visit. The gate you need is Dockside Rd. Also, the food was pretentious. Normal sounding dishes with weird herbs and seasoning is uncomfortable.
However, the service was outstanding.
Though the shrimp cakes were terrible. Calamari was grest
Great place for a nice meal in Edisto
Foods was simple and delicious. Everything tasted fresh! Our server was friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend!
Great new restaurant on Edisto island! The food was phenomenal! The atmosphere inside was lovely. Highly recommend!
It was very good, very large portions. My cocktail was a little iffy!
Delicious food and the service was great! Lighting was good, restaurant was quiet and peaceful
The service was great and the food outstanding! We had one picky eater in our group who wanted a pepperoni pizza, which had been recently taken off the menu. Our server and the kitchen crew made it happen anyway! The beef short rib was fantastic, well presented, "no-knife-needed" tender, and perfectly complimented by the sides and sauces.
Wonderful food and the General Manager visited our table to make sure we had a great evening. Highly recommend! Ella & Ollie's is an Edisto treasure.
Food was delicious. Quiet and cool dinner. Drinks were fabulous. Menu slightly pricey but again, delicious so worth it. Comfortable seating.
The food was hands-down the best we have had on Edisto Island! Everything was fresh, creative, delicious! Our server needed some basic sanitation education. She was running her hands through her hair, grabbing the tops of glasses where we put our mouth. It would’ve been nice if they would’ve opened the blinds after the sun set so it didn’t feel like we were in a cave. Edisto is so beautiful!
Great service. Great food.
Fantastic place, great atmosphere and knowledgeable staff. I’ve enjoyed dinner here twice and everything was perfectly prepared. It is going to become my go-to restaurant when I’m on Edisto.
Our server Teresa, did an outstanding job, she met our every need with a smile and enthusiasm! The food was just right and the atmosphere was charming. We will be back on our next visit to Edisto Beach.
Good food Waiter was courteous and helpful. Service was prompt
Best brined pork chop I've had and the she crab soup was wonderful as was the table bread. Also the vodka martini was really good and generous. My husband had the oyster skillet and he loved it. Very large portions too. Definitely coming back.
We always enjoy eating here! Food is always creative and delicious.
We were visiting Edisto for a week and had dinner at E&O twice. During the week it was busy but reasonably quiet. Friday night had live music. It was so fun—lively and busy but the service was still great. Will definitely visit the next time we vacation on Edisto Island!
Great service! Delicious food. Good variety on the menu.
The food was good, but very over-priced. Our pre-dinner drinks took more than 10 minutes to get to our table, and my husbands drink was made incorrectly.
Our server was sweet, but somewhat unknowledgeable about the menus.
One of our all time favorite restaurants. The good is always excellent and the service is outstanding. Can’t wait to go back
Thanks for being in Edisto...
Server (Jaynie) was simply horrible. Never introduced herself and was never polite. Smiled very condescendingly and without feelings. For and average of $30 a plate, I'd think the could hire someone polite and would care of their guests. As for price, there are 3 other restaurants... go there. Price does not equal quality. To be at a high-end restaurant on a high-end Island, they fall short.... very short on delivery. Go to Whaley's instead. T-shirts, shorts and flip-flops and cold beer. Now that was a place to enjoy!!
The food was fantastic! The rotating beer selection was perfect for my husband and the margarita was fresh and worth every penny. Wished we lived here and could eat at this place again.
Excellent food and service. We enjoyed the friendly atmosphere
Brandon NEVER DISAPPOINTs!
The clams from Savanah were yummy and that short rib with Mepkin Abbey mushrooms was “like butter”. James was a great serve and even introduced me to a new rye.
My only comment would be that I prefer the other room with the bar. It is much more intimate and romantic
