Great food. Really enjoyed that there was no issue with social distancing.
Great place to eat! Staff is very nice and accommodating. Mike, restaurant manager, goes above and beyond. Extremely personable! Hotel with a restaurant is a bonus. We'll definitely be back!
First visit to Charleston. Stopped here to get dinner before traveling out that evening. Waited an hour to get food that never came or even a simple sweet tea. People that came half an hour later after us received their drinks. We only got water. Went to the bar to check on our food but found no one there. Left without notice or care from whatever staff actually works here. Oh and speaking of the staff, this place seems to put their newest servers on the same shift because what can go wrong with that? Horrible service! Not even worth one star. After walking out my wife and I went to Chick-fil-A to receive real customer service and care.
Don’t come here if you want to add to a good Charleston experience or simply hungry. Otherwise feel free to come for water if that is your preferred drink and or meal.
Very strange experience.
Not a restaurant. This is a counter inside of a hotel. This place should be removed from opentable. The people were even unable to give us their location, as the google directions were inaccurate. Do not waste your time.
The restaurant did not have our reservation on file. Also they did not have rum or ginger beer.
This is a restaurant in a hotel; and next to no staff.
Went there with three friends based on the Open Table recommendation.
Service was non existent. Food came out cold and in the wrong order. I asked for bourbon neat; came with ice
Had to find the wait staff to get a check; after waiting over 15 minutes.
Avoid the place.
An unexpected find. Definitely not fancy...at first glance it’s just a poolside bar. But our entrees were delicious and very inexpensive for the quality. Small menu. Attentive service. Excellent spot for happy hour or casual dinner.
This restaurant is in the new(ish) Hotel Indigo and both times we've dined with them, we've been the only patrons which is a bit disconcerting. The staff are super nice and helpful and the small menu is really adequate for a quick supper. The drinks menu doesn't offer any bottles, only by the glass, although bottles are available. They also call Freixnet Champagne and got quite argumentative about it. Its Cava folks. On the small plates the shrimp sliders and the mac & cheese are fantastic. Spoiler alert - the mac & cheese feeds 4 as an appetizer easily and you still might have some left over. We've tried various entrees and the burger and scallops are highly recommended. First time around the fish (in the fish and chips) was very lightly breaded and was delicious, this time more stodgy but still delicious, just a lot more breading to strip away. They advertise Eliza's famous fries which considering they haven't been open a year seems pretentious. They are good fries but famous? It appears nobody has even heard of the restaurant, so doubtful the fries have made it onto instagram yet. I do wish them well and hope more people come in for a drink and stay for dinner.
We actually had a nice meal at Eliza’s but the ambience was lacking (inside the hotel) and the service was slow. The scallops and shrimp and grits was very good but my side (quinoa) wasn’t enjoyable.
enjoyed shrimp taco and fried green tomatoes w/my wine. good cocktails. quiet
I'm not sure if we hit a bad night, but we got no service for a long time, even several servers walked past and didn't even acknowledge us or offer to get a drink or even a glass of water. We walked out unnoticed after 20 minutes. Too bad. I was looking forward to trying the food and the atmosphere was nice.
