Nice place...but almost feel like they are trying too hard... Give a big presentation about being a "coastal kitchen" with influences to the south...but just didn't ring true in food we had.
Biscuits and Pimento.... Biscuits weren't hot...we hard...(like baked earlier in the day) and were so dry they were almost not edible...
Collard Greens...a true southern staple....missed the mark also...If you are going to pride yourself as a true "coastal kitchen"....these need to be REALLY good...they weren't.
Shrimp Cocktail.... The shrimp seemed to have been boiled a long time before they hit our plate...had a rough texture to them...just not the texture - freshness you'd look for. Also served in a flat bowl? How is this a "cocktail".
Special of the Night POKE had good tuna..but they felt "fried sticky rice" worked better than the traditional good sticky rice.... big fail...especially since the sauce / tuna was good.
On a positive note...the Watermelon Salad was really good...the keys here were the watercress, and the dressing...was very light..but still creamy. Also the peanuts added had a great flavor to them.
Overall a nice plate to eat....service was good...but when they put on a presentation about being a great "Coastal Kitchen"....you need to bring it....even with the appetizers. Like alot of the food we had on Anna Maria Island.....was not as good as we anticipated....
PS: If you want a better shrimp coctail... Bridge Street Bistro's were WAY better....
Snapper was incredible and fried green tomatoes were the best ever! Great dining experience!
When you opened this restaurant the menu was incredibly new, fresh and tasty. Now it's regular tasteless American food. No ideas, no good produce, just nothing. Change your chef
Great venue. We took 16 people there for brunch. We are one of 2 parties in the whole place. Waited 10 minutes to be served coffee. Waited 10 more minutes for a refill. Very nice people. Just no sense of urgency. Food was excellent.
We really enjoyed the coastal kitchen I had the pecan crusted snapper which was excellent my son had the Cobia which I enjoyed very much. Overall it was a very nice dinner good service will definitely come back.
The outdoor seating was nice but our food was less than stellar. Half of our food was incorrect, the salads and soup were served at the same time as the entree but the biggest problem was they served nuts on a plate to someone with a nut allergy. Very scary!
They were good about taking care of the issues but the nit allergy is beyond inexcusable.
We have been to Eliza’s many times and this was the fourth time for dinner. This is the first time we were disappointed in our experience. The food was disappointing, no specials which are always good and service was not what we have become use to. we even received wrong bill. Hopefully this was just an off night
Excellent. We have a second home on north longboat key and are so pleased we have this restaurant close by. Very professional service and casual upscale ambience. We started with biscuits and pimento cheese. Delicious but only two biscuits , three would be more appropriate. My wife had waterline salad with grilled shrimp which were delicious grilled on the wood grill. I had Nashville hot chicken - fresh from being pan fried with just cooked French fries. All in all a delightful lunch. Sophisticated and reasonable , great addition to the area. Highly recommended!!

This was our first time at this new Anna Maria Island restaurant and we were wowed! The Blue Crab hush puppies were so tasty we ordered two. Our party also had the watermelon salad, Pecan Encrusted Snapper, Steak Frites, Wood Grilled Scallops, and the Shrimp Po'Boy. EVERYTHING was absolutely delicious!
Loved Eliza Ann’s!!! Best kept secret on Anna Maria!! We had the scallops.... absolutely best on the island; the pecan crusted snapper was fresh and delirious and my daughter had the steak. Very unique oaky taste and so tender!! Service was so professional and attentive!!!

The service was slow and we were not even checked on after our meal arrived. The food wasn't bad just not as good as I was expecting.
Jake the manager was incredible!!! He is very “hands-on” with making sure all patrons are happy. I saw walk around checking on customers, clearing tables, boxing up food. He definitely made our visit perfect. We will definitely be back.
Over priced. Food was very mediocre . Much better options on AMI.

The food was tasty, and the staff was extremely friendly! My only complaint is the service was rather slow, but, then again, there were 12 of us! Ambience is top notch. Overall, I do recommend Eliza Ann's!
The service was poor....we waited for the dessert menu and our check. People we ho came after us were served before we were and were out before we were. Food was below par for the $$. The eggs on my crawfish Benedict were hard boiled and there was very little crawfish. A friend got a lobster dish and the lobster was almost nonexistent. It will be awhile before we go back.
This beautiful new resort restaurant has no competition on or near Anna Maria Island. It's a special place. The dining area is lovely. With so many hard surfaces, a large crowd could make it loud. Our party of four filled one of only several tables on a recent, off-season Saturday night. The low-country Carolina cuisine works for the most part and without pretension. Portions are just right. Prices are reasonable, though adding drinks drives the bill north. The list of wines by the glass is appealing. Pours are on the small side, with no preferred-ounces option. Service is nicely professional and accommodating. Bottom line: we really like it. And we'll be back. This is a great place to take friends for a more upscale (though far from stuffy) quality dining experience.
Fun little place inside boutique hotel. Great cocktails; small but carefully prepared menu. Noisy near the kitchen but tolerable. Overall step up from ubiquitous seafood restaurants; observed families with kids, couples and groups enjoying meals.
This was our first visit to this restaurant. It is lovely with great outdoor dining. We loved the small plate menu. The oysters were so delicious and fresh. The fried green tomato small plate was outstanding. Never had green tomatoes topped with crawfish. So yummy. Tried two desserts and we loved the local peach ice cream. We’ll be back
It’s was AMAZING! Someone opened the door to the hotel for us, escorted us to restaurant where we were quickly seated. There was a table outside which provided the atmosphere we were going for!
We were given the recommendation to try many small plates.... the fried green tomatoes with crawfish, the ceviche, and the catfish fingers were my favorite!
The cocktails are creative and tasty. The wine list was good but there were no nice wines by the glass. That’s my only suggested area of opportunity.
But what made the night spectacular was Doug. He learned our names, he engaged us in conversations. He took the experience to the next level. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We went early for happy hour and were pleasantly surprised with the wine and cocktail selection at great happy hour prices. Then we had our meal and the food was outstanding. We both picked a seafood dish and both were quite good. It’s not inexpensive but it’s not outrageous either. The food quality justified the price. I would go there again. Very nice ambiance!!
Poor service but good food. Waited thirty minutes for our appetizer and a salad. Our waiter did not seem to concerned with us and neither did any of the other wait staff. The restaurant maybe was a quarter full so it wasn’t because they were busy. Only place in the area that we had such an experience.
Pleasant Surprise! Service and Food were fantastic! The Brunswick Stew was delicious, the ribs fell off the bone and the Po Boy bread was fresh and tasty!
I look forward to the signage improving. It was very difficult to locate the Restaurant.
Food and service was excellent. Portions were small. We chose to eat inside because it’s the big season. Noise was terrible. Dining room wasn’t half full yet we had to talk loudly ourselves to have a conversation. We were told that they know noise is s problem and tried to mitigate it with panels or something in the ceiling.
Great dining experience are Eliza Ann's this evening. Everything was great from appetizer to entrees. We had dinner at 5 restaurants on our vacation and this place was at the top! The crawfish cake was far better than any we have ever tried. We will be back next year!
This is a super find!! We had a late evening reservation and sat outside. It was very energetic in the bar and interior restaurant but fairly quiet outside. Take your pick -- both are nice. It was surprisingly crowded for an 8:30 PM reservation.
The food was super. I had the drooling spare ribs while my spouse had the gumbo (excellent) and the fried oyster salad (different and tasty). The spare ribs were more meaty and tender than what I had recently at a dedicated BBQ restaurant. Only bones when I finished them. The wine list has nice premium wines for reasonable prices. The beer on tap is perfect -- a wide variety featuring local microbrews.
My only slight complaint was the service was a bit slow initially. We had to wait about 20 minutes from the time we were seated until our drinks arrived. After that, the service improved and was more normal. Otherwise, this place would get 5 stars.

What a beautiful settling and AMAZING food! So creative, using locally sourced seafood and produce to deliver a wide variety of dishes with excellent execution. The grilled oysters and ceviche are worth the trip all by themselves. But the location overlooking a canal and inlet is magically, particular when the sun is going down. The place just glows!

Excellent gumbo, totally unexpected. Horrible Oyster Poboy which they probably shouldn’t offer at all in this more upscale restaurant. Waiter aggressively tried to sell wine at special price and generally the most expensive entrees. This obvious technique is annoying. Let customer choose what they want. Leave the hustle to others. Other dishes that were generally good were grouper and wood fired scallops. However chicken thigh dish was lacking in any special flavor and bland. Manager was attentive and oversaw operations in an unobtrusive, professional manner. I suspect he was brought in to correct problems cited in earlier reviews. It appears that this restaurant is a work in progress and I believe that they will become more successful over time. My only suggestion is to concentrate on excellence in all dishes, giving particular attention to flavor.

Extremely noisy and it wasnt even crowded. Menu selection was eclectic but food did not live up to description. Would not go here again.
Seated quickly in an empty restaurant. Busboy brought water. Than waited for almost 15 minutes for our server to come to our table.
There were quite a few workers walking around. We were told no one told our server we had been seated. manager later apologized.
Wondered how bad would it have been if it was busier, as it was Easter Sunday.
