We ate outside overlooking the pool and marina. My husband and I had grouper which was delicious. My daughter-in-law had the lobster roll which was full of fresh lobster. My grandsons had the kids hamburgers which were big enough for adults and should have been split between them. Only downside was that our waitress was a little confused and took a long time to get things when asked. Overall we really enjoyed the dinner and loved the fact that they took reservations. We will go back!
Honestly, we happened upon this place and it was one of the best decisions for dinner because they take reservations! Food and ambiance was outstanding. Good selection of draft beers as well as wines
Very good food. Daily catch specials were excellent. Service excellent. Got an outside table - very nice . Overall a winner !
Eliza Ann's restaurant is very nice. The view from outside is better than many restaurants not directly on the Gulf, Tampa Bay, or Bimini Bay. Food was very good; prices are up there, but not out of line with water front views, and food was very good. One serious issue was with the service; waitress delivered appetizers and left without providing napkins or silverware (had to track down to get these items), did not return to check on table, another waitress walking by saw used dishes on the table and removed them for our waitress. I am hopeful this is an anomaly. I would visit again.
On vacation and wanted a nice dinner out with my sister
Waste of time. Food on a previous visit had been good, but this time we waited a half hour after checking in with no service. Island has plenty of other great restaurants and there's no reason to waste time and money on this one.
Food was absolutely fantastic!
Great good and great service. Excellent in all respects. We’ll be back soon.
Waiter was excellent. Food was very good and the atmosphere was pleasant and clean.
We had a great meal! We will go again and will recommend to our friends.
Seems they cannot get it together here. Ordered biscuits for the table. Never arrived before our meal. Waiter made an excuse “they take a long time” when I think he just forgot. They did take them off the bill. Food comes without sides making it even more expensive. I want to like this place but...,
Birthday. Free drink. Sweet!
The Best meal we had vacation week. Great service with a friendly and informative server(s). Would highly recommend.
As fate would have it, we wound up having brunch and dinner here on the same day. We chose for brunch and our hosts chose for dinner. The Bloody Marys were superb. The lunch servers were not very put together or bright. They appeared to have pulled their lunch uniforms off the bedroom floor, put in a hair clip and shown up for their shift without benefit of careful grooming. Breakfast was fine, not memorable. At dinner, food was more notable, the hostess, Kay, was a bright spot, and overall impression was better. Our waiter seemed crazed and sweaty the entire time, but we chilled and had a bottle of wine. Nice property...needs better servers. That might be difficult for Holmes Beach, FL.
Food was good and wait staff very friendly. Beautiful ambiance
Way overpriced for what it was, which is a decent meal. Very noisy.
Superb service meals good but pricey
Very limited menu
Getting much better. We have a house on north longboat key and frequent this restaurant often, in the past, as others have noted, meals could take a long time to be delivered and service was greatly disorganized. This last lunch was a big improvement! Food came out promptly and eggs Benedict and shrimp po boy were both excellent. Food and menu are impressive. Staffing seems much better now and service was much better. Still had to find our waitress to get the check, table next to us had same complaint. Restaurant still needs a Cracker Jack hands on manager to get service right. While staff is sweet a manager on top of matters could get this place running right. Restaurant on the right direction but not there yet.
Four for Breakfast... took a long time to be served even though the place was virtually empty. Breakfast was nothing special. Not okay to have to ask for everything, silverware, napkin, sugar, cream, salt and pepper, etc... why not leave it on a table??
There are better breakfast places in AMI that want your business...
The fish in the fish tacos was flavorless and chunks rather than filets. I loved the pickled cabbage toppings but just couldn’t eat the fish. Our server kindly removed it from our bill. The Old Bay French fries were crisp and delicious but missing the Old Bay seasoning completely. The location and indoor/outdoor seating is great.
Beautiful venue. Ok food
We had one of our most UNENJOYABLE dining experiences in recent memory at Eliza Ann’s last evening. All the components of a bad restaurant were present. Poor service, disorganization and uncooked food were all part of our evening. Add to that some of our party were served while others waited for their food and beverages. The manager tried to make amends, which is an after the fact useless effort. Two couples in our party line on the island and will never go back. It doesn’t seem that hard to serve quality food on time with good service, but this establishment is struggling.
We had a reservation at 8:00pm and the host didn't seat us until 8:20 (he wasn't at the desk all that time, I think he was helping bus tables, plenty of tables were free). We sat with menus but nothing else for 15 minutes and left. Someone else in line told us they had several staff members walk out and they were scrambling. It was late and we were starving so we did not wait until they could wait on us. Its a very nice restaurant, we felt bad but they clearly had staffing problems.
When we arrived, it took 20 minutes to get water and a menu. Then, we placed our drink order and appetizer order. The appetizer they put avocado on it even though my husband was allergic to avocado. We got our meal and then ordered a glass of wine. It took them another 20 minutes to bring us a glass of wine (the restaurant was not busy at all). The people sitting next to us said they were told the restaurant was "out of seafood" and this is a seafood restaurant! They really need to get their act together.
I know this is a fairly new restaurant so I hate to be too harsh but we were there on a Sunday night and our server seemed very confused. She told us that the fish tacos came with French fries but then came back to say, no, they didn't...that was only at lunchtime. The food took a very long time to come out of the kitchen even though when we got there it was early and not crowded. We both ordered gumbo and she brought out gumbo and another type of soup...we thought it would take just a minute to get the right soup but I was already finished with mine by the time my husband's soup arrived. The fish tacos were good...not great. It would have been nice to get some type of side with the order. All in all we had 6 grilled oysters, 2 cups of gumbo and 2 fish tacos each. Bill was $60. The manager came over when we requested our bill (we were afraid it would take forever to get it if we didn't ask for it when our meal came) and we expressed our thoughts. He nicely took 10% off of the bill. Maybe they just need a bit more time to get things better. I hope they succeed (given that it isn a Marriott property I'm sure they will!) and straighten things out a bit.
Slow service. Lobster rolls had hardly any lobster. Food was tasteless. So disappointing.
Excellent food. Brady was an excellent server. Seating outside was a bit tight at table for four but still okay. This is a hidden gem that was surprisingly quiet on a Saturday evening.
Went here for Valentines Day. Very limited price fixed menu. Very noisy and rushed inexperienced wait staff. Awfully pricey too. Food well prepared and quality ingredients. Open kitchen a plus need to soften things up a bit
The wait staff looked a bit disheveled, not crisp. Our waiter was nice enough, but not really knowledgeable about the food.
No real atmosphere
Seating was quick and appropriate as requested on Open Table.Talked too much and Server was inexperienced or just bad. by poor service and loud bar. Food was fine. After food served never saw much of him again. One other negative is the bar is right in the dining room and very noisy. The surrounding are quiet nice and it is a shame this is ruined
Great food, noisy place
Great food. Outstanding service. Very Quiet
Food is very good. They are still trying to find themselves with respect to what to offer on the menu. We were told they are now trying to get away from being too “southern “. Unfortunately they eliminated their banana pudding which was one of our favorites. Service has always been sketchy but we attribute this to being new and wait staff inexperienced. With time that will improve.
Great food, great service....perfect Martini!
Did not know this was part of a Marriott chain. The ambience, service and friendliness of staff were excellent. The food looked pretty, nice presentation, but fairly bland.
With so many good restaurants on Anna Maria Island, I would not go back
Delicious dinner, served by Evan, our very attentive and wonderful server!
An upscale restaurant. Somewhat limited menu. Can be pricy, we had the snapper, perfectly cooked, $30. Only 2 fish on the menu. Now that we've been twice, probably not going back next year unless they add more specials or change the menu. Service was good.
Starter of she crab soup was unremarkable to the point of returning it to whence it came. The kitchen offered the gumbo soup as a replacement and it was delicious.
The wedge salad was pretty good, the grilled wings were quite tasty and the pecan encrusted snapper was very satisfying.
The manager and wait staff were extremely accommodating and truly wanted to make our meal extraordinary....and they accomplished doing so.
We went on New Years Eve. One of us ordered steak and lobster and the other scallops. Filet came with brown sauce...not good. The meat was tender otherwise. Portions are good but smaller but the price was large. Dinner for 2 was well over $130.
