Eli’s Table Ratings and Reviews
Eli's Table was the best dining experience we've had in a long time, and possibly the best we've ever had. Everything we had was beyond delicious, from the appetizers to the dessert. The only thing better than the food was the service we received. Our waiter Raymond made our anniversary dinner a truly memorable event. Eli's table was the best part of our trip to Charleston and we can't wait to visit again.
Took my girlfriend there and the staff was super nice. She wasn't feeling the best and they helped her pick something out that she would really enjoy. They have some traditional stuff and some spins on classic dishes. Highly recommend the duck and waffles. Big plate and the best duck I've ever had! Definitely would come back anytime if I could afford to eat there that often
On my first trip to Charleston I was advised to eat at Eli's Table, and I found it to be as memorable as I had hoped for. My son and I enjoyed the garden patio outside. The wait staff were prompt, and very friendly, a feeling as if we were the only patrons there. The salmon terrine was outstanding. Hoping to visit the restaurant again on a return visit. What a gem.
We had my little Doxie with us so we needed a place that was pet friendly, nice and able to accommodate my mother who walks with a cane and had fantastic food, Eli's fit all our needs! They were fabulous in every way from food to service. It will be our new favorite place from now on!
We ordered chicken and biscuit with tea gravy, and the ham sandwich with Brie. Excellent food. The chicken was white meat! The day before, we ate lunch at Low Country and ordered chicken and waffles. It came with dark meat. I feel like restaurants that serve only white meat when ordering chicken, tend to serve better fresh quality food. I prefer dark meat over white, except when we go out to eat. If I'm going to spend $50 on 2 meals, I expect white meat chicken. I would recommend Eli's. $40 for 2, with excellent, speedy service
Arthur was a fantastic server. He brought us two rounds of complimentary champagne to toast our anniversary. The shrimp and grits deserves its crown as the best in Charleston. Highly recommended. The duck and waffles was really good. Unexpected flavor pairings that really worked well together. The only disappointment was my Manhattan, which was super watery.
We enjoyed our 12th anniversary dinner at Eli's Table. They sat us at the chef's table which was great with a glass of champagne in our hands. Arthur was our server and he was phenomenal. The food did not disappoint and we enjoyed as much as we could possibly eat.
The host was very nice. The servers were not welcoming, cordial or attentive. It took 30 minutes to receive our starter order of donuts. When questioned the waitress snapped that my order had only been in for a few minutes (in reality it was 25). It took nearly an hour to receive two child orders of pancakes and an egg white omelette. I was offered more coffee and accepted and the server never came back. I would not recommend this restaurant; the food was not worth the wait or the impolite servers.
We picked this restaurant as a recommendation from a friend. The Gouda fondue was my favorite. We had the salmon entree and it was very good as well as the kale salad. We were greeted with champagne at our table as we were celebrating our anniversary. Even though we sat on the bar side, it was fairly quiet. We will certainly return.
Had about 40 people scattered throughout the restaurant. Food was good but not enough for the price on some entrees. Had to go find waitress and ask for bread. Got 4 pieces for a table of 6. Asked for more but never got any. Other 2 tables had their entrees and 1 table was almost finished. We had not been served ours. She was waiting for everyone to finish their appetizers. The appetizer was all the man was having. Should have checked her ticket. Had to go put our order in and rush it. Were not offered dessert. Some had to ask for it and after dinner coffee. Waitress needs more training and supervision.
We have eaten at Eli's quite a few times and have always had great service and a wonderful meal. This time it was before a Spoleto performance, and we allowed a full 2 hours, which we thought was plenty of time, but we barely made it by curtain time - 2 blocks away. I think Eli's was really "off their game" on this particular night, maybe it was because of a busy Memorial Day weekend along with Spoleto Festival. We felt like our waiter had way too many tables to serve - we saw him clearing other tables and wiping them off - they must have been short handed, or had some no-shows. The service was very, very slow, and then they ran out of the fish featured on the "special", which 2 of us had ordered, and he served a plate to one of us, not even telling him it was not the fish on the special that he had ordered. When we finally got our meal we had to practically wolf it down and quickly pay the check and run to our performance. We did tell the waiter we had a performance, but maybe did not emphasize enough the time we needed to be out of the restaurant. (We thought 2 hours would give us plenty of time!) We will probably come back and give Eli's one more chance, as we have always had great experiences in the past, and one "off" night can certainly happen to any restaurant. The food was excellent as it usually is!!
Our waiter Louis is a true representation of hospitality. He was helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. The duck and waffles were a taste treat sensation and my husband gave me a taste of his steak which was delicious. I would also recommend the fried green tomatoes with pimento cheese. This a treat !
I'm adding another great place to my list of favorite restaurants in Charleston. The food was amazing and the service was great. If you like fried green tomatoes, try their version. And the duck and sweet potato waffles were delicious. My friend loved her dinner as well. I highly recommend it.
Our experience at Eli's table was very good! I was in town to help my daughter move and we wanted a very nice meal after move in. This was perfect as we were greeted with a flute of champagne on the house. What a nice welcome to Charleston! Service and food were great!
We've been visiting Charleston for many years and the list of great restaurants is long. Put Eli's Table on top. Trust me. If you like quaint, elegant atmosphere, soft jazz music, impeccable service, great food beautifully presented, make a reservation now. Our server, Louis, is an expert at making you feel cared for and is so knowledgable. Manager Savannah made sure we were well pleased. We will return every time we're in Charleston. Did I mention the fried green tomatoes, the fantastic cocktails (best ever Manhattan), and that everyone who works here went out of their way to serve us?
Went to Eli's table twice while visiting Charleston. Loved the ambiance and the fact we could eat outside in their courtyard. The waiter and waitress we had were wonderful and informative. The menu had many choices and options for our Northern palates. The Shrimp and Grits were amazing and Eli's Espresso Rubbed Ribeye was perfect. We joined them again for brunch which again lived up to the many great reviews. Will always stop there when I'm in town!
