European favourites get a unique twist inspired by the seasons and ever-changing market offerings. Food was excellent. Felt that server was disappointed in his 20% 30 dollar tip. The options were 18, 20,25,and 30%. I feel a 20 percent tip is good. Maybe I’m out of touch. Great place though. Great attention to detail with the food and presentation. And the server was very nice till after paying the bill.

After speaking with your server, he explained how delighted he was to serve you this Sunday and was truly grateful for your generous gratuity. We can assure you he was not disappointed or frustrated with you, but in fact, was frustrated with our debit machine while having issues printing off the receipt. Once again, so very sorry for the miscommunication, and we hope to see you again soon for some more excellent food.

Bit of a hidden gem. I walked by this place many times thinking it was just a wine bar, but the menu is absolutely incredible. Of course the wine selection is amazing too. I recommend this restaurant to everyone I know for an amazing meal, great service and a cozy atmosphere that makes you want to stay for another glass.

I booked a table for one at Eliot & Vine for my last night in Halifax after a busy 5 days. I had read good reviews and wanted to treat myself. Treat myself I did! I was given my choice of sitting at the bar or in a beautiful booth (I chose the booth). I started with a lovely local glass of bubbles and 6 oysters. The homemade hot sauce was delicious! I then had the fried brussel sprouts, which I honestly can't stop thinking about. Right amount of savoury and sweetness, plus the crunch with the walnuts was perfect. My server asked if wanted anything more to drink and I said just a glass of white wine. She suggested a Sauvignon Blanc (which turned out to be one of my favourites from New Zealand) to go with the haddock. The portion size was perfect, the veggies were crisp, and even though it had a panko crust, it was not too heavy. I really appreciated the service - dining alone can sometimes be challenging, but the server chatted when I wanted, plus gave me space when I wanted to read my book. I also really appreciated the decor - loved the artwork and personal touches. All in all, I had a perfect meal and I would highly recommend. It was a bit chilly to sit outside, but next time I will take advantage of the patio (and come earlier for happy hour for the Buck a Shuck oysters)!

The wine pairing dinner for Canadian wines was simply exceptional. Every course was delicious and paired perfectly paired with wine from our country. Chef’s kiss!

We've eaten here perhaps 8-10 times over the past few years. The food is always delicious, the service attentive and the atmosphere warm and inviting.

I really wanted to like this restaurant and I really liked everything except my main course of the halibut! Sadly, it was dry and overcooked! Needs more attention!
