   We went for an early dinner to Elia on our way back from cherry picking at Brentwood. A party of 4, we were there on a Saturday at 5pm and there was ample seating indoors and outdoors. The interiors are delightful and I loved the detail of all the chairs outdoors having a throw each. We opted to be seated outdoors and were promptly seated and enjoyed the weather and the bustling view of Pleasanton downtown. Service was prompt and seamless and the appetizers were served without much wait. We started off with bread and a spiced olive oil dip which was great and went on to the best lamb riblets we have been served in a while, the octopus with white beans was very refreshing and very well cooked. The spanakopita was nice but not remarkable and the chicken souvlaki was moist well cooked and was a great shareable main. For cocktails we ordered the pomegranate sour and a citrus based one- they were fine. We would love to visit again sample more dishes as we really enjoyed our meal and the ambience!

   My family and I celebrated my son’s 30th birthday here and we loved it! The food was absolutely delicious and the service was phenomenal (the menus had “Happy Birthday” printed at the top which made my son feel even more special). We sat at an outside table so the noise level was what could be expected for sitting outside, but it was perfect because we were able to talk and laugh freely. The restaurant is beautiful and has a very authentic look and feel.

   Food is good, tables are too close to one another. Feels packed and difficult to have a conversation if you are in the middle of the restaurant. Maybe the booths are less loud.

   The hardest part is deciding what to order! Must go back to try other options. Enjoyed our meal immensely. I advise making reservations, as they get quite busy.

   Originally my reservation was for inside but we were accommodated for an ourside table when we found that inside was very noisy on the Saturday evening before Mother's day. The restaurant was extremely busy and we felt fortunate to score the outside table. Our dinner was delicious but we were not rushed to order. We ordered a bottle of wine that was not available and Zubi brought several other options for us to taste before we settled on a delicious Pinot Noir for our meal. The beet salad is delicous...not very large considering the $19 price but we split it and it was enough with our entrees. We didn't order an appetizer this time as we filled up on their delicious bread and olive oil tempenade. I ordered the filet mignon which came on a skewer but was perfectly prepared, medium rare. Accompanied with potato halves and string beans, was delicious. The halibut came with some clams as part of the dish and they were given to me to enjoy .I loved them. The evening on the patio was perfect....beautiful weather. To our surprise, we were served a delicious port by Zubi after our meal, topping off the evening. Definitely going back!

    The food here was impeccable. Pretty sure I’ll be craving the Cilbir (brunch menu) for the rest of my life. Very authentic, high quality ingredients and fairly priced. The ambiance was very cute - warm and inviting. The service left a little something to be desired, drinks took forever to arrive, water glasses sat empty multiple times. There was no check back between when our food arrived and when the bill came. Would definitely go again … just for the food!!
