We enjoyed a wonderful Mother’s Day brunch out on the terrace of Elevations at Skylaranna. We were all very pleased with the quality and quantity of food, the server (Mark) was great, the roses for the two moms in our group were very much appreciated, and the expansive view of Mt. Pisgah and the Blueridge made for a wonderful setting. (There are way too few restaurants in the area with that kind of view, so Skylaranna ranks up there with the well known, high priced competition up in Asheville.) The high quality tableware and cloth napkins didn’t go unnoticed and were very much appreciated. Sunday brunch is new here, but they did an excellent job. It took a sensible amount of time to get our food which worked well with taking time to enjoy conversation in the beautiful setting. The brunch prices were quite reasonable. My wife and I definitely plan to go back!!! We’d love to be able to sit out on the terrace again to enjoya meal around sunset. This is a new business and it looks like some site development is going on during weekdays. We heard they have 51 acres and big plans. These guys obviously have some vision. I hope they execute it well and that it becomes a great resource for our community.
Great location, food, and service - look forward to see what good things are in store for Skylaranna
Seated outside with no candle or light so asked to be moved inside once it got dark. Two of the dishes I ordered (petit filet and Brie fondue) they were both sold out of so I ordered shrimp and grits which was decent but not great. Overall a little disappointed.
We had our anniversary dinner here. The view on the new patio is beautiful and it is a perfect place to watch the sunset. Dani was our server as well as bartender. She was great and attended to all her tables and the bar without making us wait for her. It is pricey, but the food and wine were delicious!
Arrived on time for our 6:30pm reservation, but it was overbooked and were not seated until after 7pm. Took almost 15 minutes to get a menu or drink order, and took another 15+ minutes to place a food order.
Ordered the fondue, which was pretty solid overall (although the vegetables used didn't make sense, like carrot and celery). B+
Ordered the skirt steak churrasco, which had no sear and was underseasoned, a bland gravy on top and disappointing chimichurri. Highly disappointed, especially considering the $29 price. F
We also ordered the filet, which again was underseasoned and had no sear (it's like they just tossed it in the oven). F
Did not wait to try dessert, seeing as the rest of the experience was very underwhelming.
For the steak dishes that we ordered, you'd be better off going to texas roadhouse or just about any other steak place and get better quality for 1/3 or 1/2 the price.
Our main waiter was very slow in even getting us silverware, and wasn't even correctly wearing their mask half of the time. We ended up mostly relying on another waiter to get us the things we needed as we couldn't even get a hold of our main waiter.
Layout of the dining area is odd as it's a converted house/boarding school. Acoustics make the dining room very noisy, as we could hear someone's child playing loud cell phone games from 4 tables away (even over the background chatter). Aside from the construction going on, it did have a pretty scenic view.
Staff seemed clearly overwhelmed, and the person in charge of bookings should probably find a new job. Food was disappointing considering the offerings of the Asheville/Hendersonville area, and the relatively high asking prices. Best case scenario, we would only come back for a cocktail/wine and maybe an appetizer. Otherwise this is extremely poor value for money and time spent. Overall very sad and disappointed, seeing as we live local and are very close by. Better off driving 30-45 minutes away anywhere else.
Seafood w/grits dinner was not as good as expected. Sauce on top of seafood was odd...different. I think we should've been given salad with dinner for the price.
Our reservation was at 7 and we didn’t get sat until 8pm. We understood because the manager stated there was a bad accident nearby, however, an hour is a long time. We then get sat, order, and the waitress forgets my salad. Seeing as we waited forever, I was hungry! And never got the first course. The food was mediocre and I was bummed there weren’t any vegetarian dishes. The chef did make a decent one, however, the rice was hard and it came out on the cold side. The views were pretty and the old fashioned was tasty, but we certainly won’t be going back.
It was an exquisite moment eating here with my daughter Rachel & son in law Matt Karst!
Everything was cooked perfect and served hot to!
Bread & butter and salads were great starting off with...
Pork chop is a heavenly dish, seafood and grits and braised chicken excellent!
Suggest trying this place for anniversary or special occasion!
Key lime pie was great and chocolate tart was super as well.

A party of 6 enjoyed the delicious entrees at this new and upcoming restaurant. Everyone commented how well cooked, tasty and filling their meals were. Recommend the pork chops and skirt steak.
I think this will grow and become a very nice restaurant. The staff were super helpful and friendly. The environment was really nice - casual and fun. And given that this is a restaurant within a newly developing resort - I will be looking forward to trying it again. The food was just ok. Nicely presented. However, most of it was just way too over salted. I had the salmon (best meal of the four of us). The pork chop and burger needed much less salt to be able to taste flavors. The charcuterie plate was quite good, as was the pork belly (which is supposed to be salty -but even it was a bit too much). I'm going to click "yes" on recommend to a friend, because I think it has great potential. I don't think I would recommend it yet given the price of food.
Need more variety on the menu....great location......drinks pricey.....no jalapeño for $15 margarita.....no Parmesan cheese for grits and shrimp....need more appetizers and salads!
Great concept.....just need more variety......pasta.......
This was our first time at Elevations and we will definitely be back! Wonderful service and amazing food & drinks!!
Took my mom for her 79th birthday. Mark the waiter was polite and attentive. Sprinkled red rose petals on table and wished her a happy birthday. Recommended the pork belly appetizer and filet—both were divine!! We also had the shaved Brussel sprout salad, double cut pork chop, and shellfish and grits. All of it was AMAZING!! The chef really has skill and the food came out relatively quick. The grits were full of cream and tasted as if they were stone ground with grains that were of some size but oh so tender.
I plan to bring my husband when we come back to Asheville.
Overall good meal and service
Because the restaurant is all in an open room we found it quite noisy. There was a family next to us with a young very loud and talkative child. I found it very annoying since we ordered a bottle of wine and were hoping to have a much quieter experience. A friend had told me she found it quite noisy when she was there as well.
Food was outstanding but very expensive. Service was excellent, and the dining room was quiet, so conversing at the table was easy. Elevations doesn’t serve soup or salads of any kind, which we thought was strange. Although burgers were listed on the menu, they were not available the night we were there. They weren’t sold out; Elevations just wasn’t serving them that night, which we found strange. The menu is rather limited. It was $32 for a petite filet mignon accompanied by a couple of tablespoons of mashed potatoes with gravy; at that kind of price, Elevations will be a very rare treat.
Amazing food and our waitress was knowledgeable and provided terrific service. We will definitely be back!
Outstanding restaurant. Food was amazing, the selection was great, and they have over 40 bourbons! Great date night in an amazing location.
We very much enjoyed the understated atmosphere for a gourmet restaurant. No snobbery, for sure! The setting is gorgeous, and the food was excellent. We really enjoyed the pumpkinseed encrusted goat cheese! Hearing some of the history of the place was fun, especially that Elvis Presley really wanted to purchase the place way back, but his momma nixed it. Too bad. We'll definitely be back!
We walked out.
Called ahead for the reservation, let them know we were celebrating our anniversary. They said they would put a note on the reservation for a nice table.
Upon arriving. There was no acknowledgement of our request. They tried sitting us at a table in the middle of the room. I requested to sit elsewhere.
The waiter was not personable. It felt like he was reading from a script. Asked us if we were celebrating, came back and literally threw a bunch of roses at us on the table.
When I asked for recommendations on gluten free items, I was made to feel like it was a hassle. He did not take the time to walk through menu.
Trying to figure out what to order...
Wine list felt overpriced.
Only one steak option, a filet. For a chop house it felt like a miss not to have at least one other option.
The cocktails were not inspiring.
We ordered a salad. When it arrived, looking like nothing special, with no plates or silverware provided to eat it with. We then informed the server that we would be dining elsewhere.
Calling ahead, I tried to give this establishment a real chance to make us feel welcome. Very disappointed in the actual experience.
Note: we did not actually try the food. This app did not let me proceed without providing a "star" rating for every category
1st time visit for my wife’s birthday. It was very delicious!! If I had 1 small comment would be the key lime pie was average, probably wouldn’t get again but just a preference. Service was spot on and fillets were cooked perfect! Thanks, looking forward to visiting again.
My fiancé was close by for work on his birthday so I joined him and made reservations here because of the food reviews and it did not disappoint! Everything was AMAZING especially the seafood and grits and pork belly appetizer. The view is beautiful. Will be back!
Great potential but mid construction. Looking forwards to seeing the finished article. All staff were very good and food delicious.
Wish them best of luck for future
Don't forget to put up the elevation of Mt Pisgah 5,721 feet!
Excellent food, service
Lack of ambience. Felt like a cafeteria. Desert wasn’t done. Still charged.
Fantastic food. Excellent service. Well priced with comparable restaurants. Long range mountain views. Great place for a special meal. Local cider and terrific cocktails.
We stayed at the SKYLARANNA and loved the convenience!
This was our first visit and we all enjoyed our meal. Elevations is a quaint restaurant with a spectacular view of our beautiful mountains. The service was timely and our waitress was polite. Everyone enjoyed their meal.
The drinks were delicious but a little on the pricey side.
First time here. Everything was superb. Definitely will go back.
Overall everything was fine, parking was difficult but it looked like they were doing some construction. They did run out of the entree that I wanted but my second choice was good. The service at the bar was not so good but once we made it to our table everything was fine.
It was a wonderful place for a special Valentine’s Day dinner. I would recommend it highly!
Off the beaten path little surprise! Food was superb. Cocktails amazing! Prices were more than fair for the quality! Will return!
Absolutely wonderful. A lot of construction underway but the owner is off to a great start. Can’t wait to come back.
The food was awesome and would definitely return for another meal. The price is worth it, but at that price it makes a special occasion restaurant. The one downfall and it was Valentine's Day is that the lighting was too low. Seeing our food was difficult and signing the charge slip we had to use the flashlight on our cell phone. It was still a good experience.
Overall a great dining experience! Delicious chicken plate and my boyfriend had the burger. Our waitress Dani was so sweet and very accommodating! Kevin and his team have a great restaurant.
One of the best new experiences in some time. Food and service was wonderful. It’s a bit of an issue parking and getting in, especially on a cold rainy night but hopefully that will improve as it appears construction is going on.
Both entrees were perfectly prepared and presented. Wait staff was very attentive, we will be back. They need to work on the lighting, a little too dark.
Excellent service and food.
Great place....will be even better later on......ambiance is ver nice.....worst part was a screaming baby......we did our best to drown that out! Look forward to additions.....even to menu........need a few more choices for a chophouse....especially salads.,,maybe a wedge?
