The service was absolutely amazing. Not only was the food great but the atmosphere was even better.
Service was incredibly slow, it wasn’t very clean and the food wasn’t all that great. The wine list is sub-par. We expected more from this place. Also, they added over $22 for LARGE GROUP GRATUITY and there were only TWO of us trying to share a nice meal and enjoy the ambiance. We will not be back.
Unique place to eat/drink. Food is very good and scenery of planes landing and taking off is very cool. Music is a tad loud for people that just want to talk, but highly recommend this place.
Food was okay. Service was excellent.
We have never had a bad experience here, until this visit. We had hair in three of our dishes (two appetizers and one entree). It made the entire meal unappetizing for everyone in our party.
On a positive note, our server, Brandy, was friendly, quick and efficient. The drinks from the bar were very good as well.
This episode will definitely have us rethink returning any time soon.
Salmon cakes and grits were great. Pork chop was good, but seemed overpriced. Watching the plane is always an added bonus while eating dinner.
Good food, atmosphere and service. We enjoyed it!
If you like cheesy music blaring and bad food then this is the place for you. The only decent thing about this restaurant is their drinks. This is a perfect example of a restaurant trying to be a nice place but not being able to pull it off. People were dining in hoodies, hats, gym shorts and sandals with socks so obviously they don’t care about a dress code. We ordered two appetizers, cheese dip and shrimp. The shrimp were actually pretty good. The cheese dip was runny, had no flavor and the bread was stale. I had the Caesar salad which was good and I ordered the large ribeye medium rare and it was cooked well. I asked for it to be redone and everyone at the table was done when it showed back up. My daughter ordered the chicken sandwich and it was terrible. Chicken was dry, weird and the bread was hard. My wife had a chicken special which was good and my son had the pork chop which was over cooked. The manager did come out and take off the steak and chicken sandwich which I didn’t want or request but it was nice of him. We then had the brownie which tasted like it had Hershey’s syrup on it and the creme brûlée which was ok but the topping was soft and not crispy like it should be. With all that being said this will definitely be a one and done for me and my family.
We had a nice anniversary dinner. We had the ribs and a steak. Both were good.
Great first time experience— ambience, food and drinks for bday with friends!!
This was our 2nd visit in about 3 months. Love to have a restaurant that is so different than any others we patronize in terms of scenery snd location. The food is good, the service is good and the scenery outside over the airport is really cool especially if you have the pleasure of seeing any aircraft come in or go out. Not guaranteed though. The ambiance is very casual although if you like to dress up or chic it would be fine but could be a little out of place. I would recommend everyone trying the restaurant at least once. It is a good change. It would also be fun to take a few couples there for dinner. It’s not too noisy that you can’t hear each other. Thanks for the military discount!!
Steak was good. Brussel sprouts were just ok. Service was slow.
The food here was pretty bland and there is zero ambiance. The website is misleading in the experience it promises to offer. The restaurant seems to rely heavily on its location as a draw to get customers. The tableware and amenities are very very worn out and the location seems to be in need of a makeover. Overall it was a very disappointing experience. From the website and other reviews, I expected more. I wouldn’t recommend this for special occasions.
This used to be a great place. Service and Food was excellent. When you start by seeing the excuse notice on the door and at the Hostess Stand “we apologize we have a staff shortage” you know your in trouble. Our waitress though not very skilled was attentive but needed training. Not just on the new software they were using but how to be a quality server. Then there is the food… It makes you wonder when you receive food that is not warm let alone hot. If the kitchen had staff issues one would expect some item of the food to be at a minimum warm with a goal of hot. On top of that it wasan’t even good. We were just a party of two and they weren’t busy and plenty of staff though very young adults abounded. What was missing was someone to that seemed in charge. Lack of staff was not the excuse for poorly trained front of the house staff and poorly executed kitchen. This is Management and Ownership! Leadership is the issue here
Food was lackluster; lacked flavor and variety
Venue needs updating
View was the best experience.
Nice location and bar. The food needs to be improved for the cost.
Came here for a birthday dinner, food was great! Atmosphere is very cool with runway & blue kind of hue from the windows. Drinks were great. Our waitress was nice & knowledgeable. The food did take awhile to come out and our appetizer was a pretty small portion but besides that everything was great. Didn’t mind the wait for the food since I was in good company but I can see other people getting upset about it. Will be back!
The food was delicious and our server was amazing!
Was seated and the table wasn’t wiped down. Service was slow. Steaks were over cooked. I’ve been to this place probably 10+ times and it’s always great. Last night was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had there.
We brought friends here for dinner. We had a great time and good food! We will definitely keep coming back
ECHS is a must given any excuse to dine. You know it's fantastic food when you pause after each bite to savor the flavor. Service made you feel like a long lost friend that you're ecstatic to see.
Overall great experience! The drinks and food were great! It was a nice place to celebrate our anniversary!
Lots of confusion around entree availability, and coupled with a restricted level of service due to staffing shortages absolutely impacted the experience. That said, still a good time, but post covid hit has a lot of gap left to close.
It took over one hour to get our food. We sat upstairs and they told us we get better service downstairs. I ordered a Caesar dinner salad and they brought me a wedge, which I ate because I had already waited 15 minutes on the salad.
The food was amazing!! Our waitress was very friendly!! We will be back to try Brunch 😀😀
Service was extremely slow. Server not attentive. Took us an hour to get food. Biscuits and gravy were good. Scrambled eggs were dry and tough from sitting under heat lamp for so long.
Upon entry, we were told immediately that because a party booked the downstairs, we would have to wait 15 to 20 minutes for our reservation. Party downstairs was som wanna be celebrity and very noisy also. Subjects from the party were up and downstairs ordering from the bar because the downstairs bar was overwhelmed. Upstairs had a large group doing a child (about 5 years old) birthday party. Over an hour after ordering, our food finally arrived. During the wait I had to flag down 2 different staff members to get me and my wife's drinks refilled. The chopped steak I ordered was well done even though I specified medium. My wife's steak was under-cooked. Due to the wait and under ability of the staff, we ate a portion of our meal and left.
This was my wife's birthday and we were both very disappointed with the atmosphere, the food quality, and the service. Everything went downhill from our previous visits. The next night we went to Marlowe's and it was 100% better.
Great view....this visit I hope was a fluke of bad luck...food cold...two extremely large parties both downstairs and upstairs...slow service
Maybe next visit something awsome experience
Although the atmosphere was great, our dinners were luke warm at best. I would go back maybe to sit at the bar for drinks.
The food was delicious but somewhat on the pricey level. Reservations were for 5:00 which was perfect so we could enjoy watching planes. The staff were all polite and helpful with food choices. Took our son for his 46th birthday. It was perfect and he loved it.
We had an excellent time as always, and the food was fabulous as well. They had a great music duo that played really good music. It was very active on the ramp with a lot of military airplanes and corporate jets coming and going. Our service wasn't as good as it usually is, but that's probably because our waiter was fairly new. It won't stop us from going back though as we have been dining there for many years.
The ambience was perfect! We had great and timely service. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the view of the airport runway was superb!!
Flew down for dinner and it was packed for Prom. Not a big deal so we ate at the bar. We had a new bartender and one who had been there a while. The rookie bartender did not enter our order in correctly and it took a long time to get our food. The veteran bartender realized we had been waiting a while and she went down to the kitchen and got our food. We were missing a few sides and some grilled shrimp when we did get our food. They were apologetic and brought out the rest eventually but we had pretty much finished by them. Typically, we would have been comped an entree or something but they just brought us the bill.
We may go back and try it again. Hopefully next time it will be better service and not so busy.
I ordered a specialty drink from the menu. It did not taste like it had all of the ingredients from the description in the drink. Secondly I ordered the jumbo shrimp for dinner and the shrimp were more like baby shrimp. My meal looked as if it came off the kids menu. The amount of food for the price was unbelievable. When I discussed this with the manager she did offer to make me something else or take the meal off of the ticket. I was really waiting for her to say that this should not have happened. I had seven small shrimp and a side of corn for $24!!!!!!....it was not as described on the menu. I politely told her I’d just keep the food. The food tasted just ok. It was not seasoned well. This was so not worth the the cost. Will not go back
Horrible experience we had reservations and requested a seat next to the window and we got sat in a corner unable to see anything but the wall and then our food came and waiter forgot to give me silverware so my food got cold waiting for him to come back for like 10 mins. Food was bland no flavor we had the steak and basically had to season it ourselves.
This was our first time at Elevation chophouse and sky bar. We went for a date night. Our reservation was at 6 so it was pretty quiet, but it started to get busier as we were leaving for as graduation groups started coming in. The atmosphere was good, qith great music choices. The food was really good and prices were decent. The waitress was nice and helpful. It was als pretty cool to see the planes and helicopters coming and going. I would definitely recommend this restaurant!
Not happy at all. This used to be a decent place. Terrible everything.
Very good experience with live entertainment was appreciated and enjoyed.
Honestly, I'm hoping it was an "off" night. First, we were taken to our table, passing buckets catching water dripping from the ceiling. It was a Wednesday, 1/2 bottles of wine advertised as the evening special, yet not one of the three bottles we inquired about were in stock. Our waitress was super sweet, but overwhelmed with the new electronic ordering system they are apparently implementing (it seems more training is needed), as well as having to prep items (such as dessert) herself, due to lack of kitchen staff. The food was hit or miss. The tomatoes on the salads were mealy, the pasta was utterly flavorless (both the entree itself and that served with the chicken parm), and the au gratin potatoes were disgusting. Kiddos enjoyed the mac and cheese (but that's usually my saving grace at a nice dinner "out"), and hubby enjoyed his protein. Desserts were serviceable. We've had enjoyable evenings there in the past, and I'd be willing to try again, just not any time soon.
