The food here was great!!! The service, or better yet, our waitress seemed to have an anchor tied to her. She was extremely slow-moving and unengaging. Luckily, it wasn't that busy, otherwise we would have never eaten. Aside from her, it's a dope experience with excellent food!
9 Year anniversary with my wife and thought we have been to other airport bar and grills and or restaurants, had good times before so no brainer! Place had no one up front to greet, after a long time and multiple parties waiting to be seated, we were advised to sit at the bar while they get our table ready. Seemed like they were trying to open and stock the place all at the same time. Ordered some drinks at the bar and I had to remind the bartender to get my drink. Place looked in disarray, boxes all over, everything seemed like they were playing catch up to starting their day. Found a finger nail in my wife’s seat, waited forever for a server. Food was terrible, 5 year old didn’t eat but 2 bites of pancakes and he loves pancakes. Wife sent back her food because it was terrible. Haven’t had this bad of an experience in a long time, I don’t like to review places with negative feedback but this place needs to Elevate all aspects of a place with so much potential!
Overall it was a good experience but the hostess was extremely rude, refusing to check on the status of our (reserved) table and literally entering into a staring contest with us as we were waiting. I have never experienced a hostess as unhelpful and disrespectful as she was.
We arrived a little early and only waited about 5 minutes. We were seated upstairs, which is a bit of a trek if you have issues with stairs. We were seated by a window whivh was nice, so we could see the planes arrive etc. Our waitress was pretty knowledgeable. My husband asked what was the soup du jour, she said they didn't have one. Mind you a cold front had arrived, it was a great night for soup. He ordered the beet salad, which was pretty good. Not much to it, just lettuces and a good portion of yellow & red beets. I ordered the brisket and changed the mashed potatoes for brussel sprouts. I have never, ever seen beef brisket presented in a block, 4 "x 4 "x 2 " thick. I had to cut it myself , which is tricky with brisket as you have to cut against the grain. It was difficult to cut and very dry even though it had a brown sugar mustard glaze. I told the waitress and she said that she would bring me bar-bq sauce and ketchup. It didn't help. The kitchen could have sliced it and they wouldn't have had to serve such a big piece of meat. And it needed a sauce or gravy. They were pretty busy and as people left we saw a lot of left over food. That tells me the food is not great, no one took their leftovers home. I have to give the staff credit for going up and down those stairs all night to get and serve the food. Funny thing most restaurants are short wait staff but that didn't seem an issue here. Probably because of the college being so close. My .message to management, you have a great venue, get a chef that knows how to cook. It's obvious this cook is not well trained. Big portions don't mean a thing if the food is not good! This is the 2nd time we have been here and both were bad experiences. We won't be goung back
Food was great but pricey. Place is dingy looking inside. Our server was GREAT. I think her name was Kim. The blue haired girl who received us at the front desk was not very friendly. She probably should not be receiving guests.
Food was great but service could use more attention.
Been to Elevation multiple times over the years and have never been disappointed. The salmon was amazing and the steaks are outstanding. Had the beet salad which was a real treat. Our server Kim did an amazing job and made the night special. Highly recommended. 👍👍
I ordered the ahi tuna salad and the tuna was dry and grisly. I sent it back. The spinach dip and cheese dip was goods and our waitress was so amazing.
Nice portions of food. See interesting aircraft and their passenger (always different). Will try the breakfast on Saturday and Sunday as recommended by Brandy.
Great food and service - was expecting more upscale tables etc… atmosphere. The view is great.
The food, service, and environment were great. My only complaint is that I made a 12:30pm reservation for brunch and was not seated until nearly 1:30pm. I don’t see the point in making a reservation in advance if you still have to wait an hour- it was very frustrating.
So sad, it's been going downhill for a few months. Food is made ahead of time, so if you don't want onions, etc. In your omelet, you're out of luck, and now the portions are half the usual size. Side fruit was freezer burnt, that's been going on for a while, also. Bloody Mary was awful, they changed the mixer and it had a sweet taste. One small lemon, used to get a skewer of olives, lime, and lemon. Usually go at least twice monthly to watch the planes, but we'll be taking a break.
Would have been better experience had we been able to use our gift cards and this was very disappointing since we had been looking forward to this since Covid
The excuse was no one could find the amount on the GC # and was nothing they said could do????
So your rating went down very disappointing
Will not give friends or family any GC’s this year
Great meal as always. Surprised not many people were there.
We had a reservation, via OT, for 730 and we were immediately greeted and seated. Our waitress was quick to the table and offered the evening's specials. The ambiance was nice and relaxing. We saw planes coming and going and the lighting/music was enjoyable. Our appetizer was the spinach and artichoke dip which was okay. It had a nice amount of melted cheese on top but very little creaminess, that you'd expect in a dip, with the spinach. The chips were the best part of that course. My husband ordered the special, swordfish, and he enjoyed it overall and said it was cooked well but the mixture of flavors, with that particular fish, was a bit off-putting. We both had the wedge salad which was decent but again the flavors just weren't quite meshing together. I ordered the 14oz Ribeye with Mac and cheese as my side. Considering this is a chop house I had high hopes for the steak. I ordered medium and it came out closer to rare/blue. The waitress apologized profusely and took it back to cook it more. The kitchen can be seen from the upper seating area and we saw them put the steak on the flat top, compared to back on the grill. This caused the outside of the steak to taste burnt, not like a nice char, but an unappetizing taste. The inside was still closer to medium rare than the medium I requested. Sadly I did not finish my steak and it was certainly not worth the $48 price tag it carried. They took my sides and did not bring them back with the steak either. Again the waitress apologized and offered to get more and I declined as I was no longer hungry based on the flavor of my steak. My husband had a few drinks but said they too were just "okay". Overall the experience can be summed up with the word I've used quite a bit in this review... Okay. We may try again for brunch but we are quite disappointed that we spent nearly $200.00 all together for food that could have been cooked/prepared better at home. The atmosphere and waitress were on point, the food was not.
Nice ambiance as the sun set and as the runway lights illuminated. Good service, good food.
The food and service were excellent! I highly recommend Elevation!
Aviation has high quality food and service. We were there for the first time in years but have had great experiences each time. Our server, Brandi, was very personable, prompt and thoughtful. She made a great effort to take care of our table. Look for her when you check out Elevation Chophouse for great food and a cool destination, being beside the airport!
Food and service were good. We enjoyed watching the planes. The music was just too loud and interfered with our conversation and interaction with our server. Unnecessary.
We have not been in awhile, but I remembered this place as being much nicer. It's lost a lot of it's ambience. Plus a few of the unique menu items are gone, like the frozen nitrogen drinks. The finish has been worn off the tables - probably by covid disinfection. And we had to scream at each other across the table in the noise. But watching the planes is always a big hit. And the food was quite well prepared. The place is quite good and quite serviceable - don't get me wrong. But it felt more like a sports pub, this visit. This was my birthday dinner and I was just looking forward to something a little more high class. The "magic" was gone. Still, we will be back!
We had 12:15 reservations. Hostess said go to your car or somewhere. I asked if we did not have reservations. She said very abruptly yes but is 12:11 and your reservation is at 12:15!
About 14 minutes later we were seated.
Great food! Friendly attentive staff. Atmosphere is amazing! Already planning a trip for dinner soon.
Not a very good experience. Food was not good, undercooked and under seasoned. Very expensive and the service was awful. We had to get up to find our server multiple times.
I had an amazing time. The food and drinks were great and my waiter Patrick was awesome. I will definitely be back.
So we ordered the spinach dip, steak frites, seared tuna salad, and a filet. The spinach dip was good. But the steak frites was medium instead of medium rare. The filet was not a filet but a sirloin. Additionally, it should have been medium but was instead cooked well. Not very happy with how everything was overall cooked. The service was amazing and the music was good
Delicious food, great view of the planes & activity because you are right there! We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon!
Steak and ribs were mouth watering good. Brunch food was bland. Drinks were very good. Seeing planes and helicopters was highlight. Table was not ready when arriving at reserved time. Waitress was unattenative and wait was lengthy for everything.
Hostess was inconsiderate with seating us. Our appointment was at 12:30. We understand a table needed to be available before we can be seated. But the hostess ignored us standing waiting for the table that she had just cleaned off and began talking to a employee as if we weren't there. This young man she was talking to did tell her to go seat us. Once at our table, our waitress Shari was excellent!
It took 60 minutes to receive my omelet and it was unfortunately cold. Took 29 mins to receive my mimosa. The waitress however, was apologetic and nice.
Awesome food! Very loud and slow service.
Got the pork chops and my husband got the ribeye. It was good but not necessarily rememberable. Would definitely try again and try something different. Spinach dip and Brussels sprouts were very good.
Great food as well as great atmosphere. I really enjoy the view of the airport.
Drinks are subpar, a full hour to be served food. Table was dirty (we were the first ones in the restaurant). Came for brunch, hostess gave us dinner menus. Not the experience we were hoping for.
Kim was an amazing server and gave us her recommendations for our orders. She was attentive and made sure to check on us frequently. Since this was our first time there she suggested we come back for the brunch service. Overall she was an amazing server and we can’t wait to come back!
Sea Bass Special was cooked to perfection and tasted amazing. Seared Tuna Salad is always spot on. Great value and experience is top notch.
Good food. Fun to watch the planes (and a helicopter) land. Service was adequate. I’ll come back.
The margarita did not meet my expectations but the quesadilla appetizer was fantastic.
I had reservations for a very important date at 7:30. No problem getting us seated and the service was great. We were told while we were deciding on appetizers that they are closing the kitchen and that they needed our order asap or else we wouldn't be able to eat a main meal. Of course we hastily ordered meals and it was served very fast. I felt like we were incredibly rushed. Honestly it didn't completely ruin a very important night but it wasn't ideal for the both of us. By the way they were supposed to be open until 10pm.
Enjoyed watching the planes land. The food was delicious. The only “negative “ was they will not allow you to request a different cheese on your omelette (one that you know they have because it is in the menu). I could only request to leave off the cheese from my omelette. Everything else was awesome… will be back.
The view was better than the food.
