Élevage at Epicurean Hotel
A neighborhood restaurant...that just happens to be in a hotel.
Wonderful food !! Everything ordered was delicious (including my daughters chicken fingers ...?!!!). The only thing I would change , is more salad/leaner healthier options for the health conscious.
Other than that - FABULOUS!!
Experience was as expected and look forward to returning again soon!
My wife and I had stayed in the hotel (quite nice - not the most soundproof rooms) and late morning we a couple of items off the 'brunch' menu - simple items - pancakes with fruit and a plate of chicken (with a very good hot/spicy honey sauce) and waffles. Pancakes and waffles were quite light not heavy - both plates very good with excellent coffee. A nice morning seated outside. We do want to return for dinner at some point.
Love the decor. The chicken and waffles brunch dish is delicious! Service was a little spotty, especially as the restaurant became more crowded.
My coworker & I were guests of the hotel. We each had a wonderful steak but nothing more (no sides, appetizers, or dessert) due to business cost restraints. Would have loved to have tried more! Love the ambiance too. Only downside is once our checks were paid, we never saw waiter again, not even to fill water glasses, even though the place was almost empty at the early hour.
I was pretty disappointed with the sourdough pancakes and brunch burger. I think they sat too long so the bun was soggy which caused the burger to fall apart. The pancakes tasted like buttermilk pancakes, not really unique. There were no raisins as advertised and only two tiny pieces of banana slices. The whipped cream was melted and had slid off the top of the pancakes. Honestly as a server I would have been embarrassed to take these to a table.
Wonderful breakfast with family. The meals were delicious and service was on point.
Very very noisy, bar just outside of eating area football game was on and fans were nuts. Had to leave having a relaxing drink to be seated early. Food was ok but plating way too busy.
Suggest a sound-deadening curtain or other barrier between bar and restaurant. At times, it was way too loud to even converse in the restaurant.
The atmosphere was absolutely perfect for a relaxed date night. The service was on point and the server’s attitude made the experience better. The attention to detail absolutely pushed it over the edge. Absolutely perfect.
Attended a fund raising dinner for victims of Hurricane Dorian. Food and service were exceptional. This is one of my favorite places in Tampa.
For everything I had heard about how great this restaurant was I found it to be a very so-so experience - both with respect to food quality and service.
The Salmon entree was VERY bland and the recommended Chocolate dessert was totally overwhelmed with peppercorns and inedible!
Food was very good. Great ambiance!! Definitely will come back again!
We love it here! Foodie heaven with attentive staff.
Enjoyed a wonderful evening with my wife at the Epicurean. The food was served fast and cooked to perfection. Worth every penny!
Great time celebrating a birthday.
It was my husbands birthday.
Large portions, great food.
Food very well done. Great service.
You get what you get. Memorable ? Mmmm. I'll go back for brunch to really understand the concept.
The service was outstanding as was the food.
Our steaks were just a bit overdone. Mine was Med rare but was really a bit more cooked than I like. The meat was still tasty and seasoned well.
However, the escargot was to die for. Best I have ever had anywhere. The garlic bread that was with it disappeared! And we even had an extra basket of it. The wine list for glasses only is a bit limited but adequate. Loved our waiter and liked the ambiance very much. We’ll return.
Great food. Original and imaginative dishes done nicely. Good service.
Terrific food and service. Natalie was terrific, we placed a three course order upon introductions and she had drinks and courses staged perfectly. Fresh food and great drinks.
We went for brunch after staying in the hotel. Service was wonderful and the food was tasty
It was great
The evening was fine but I expected more. Service in the bar was slow and service at the table transactional. When we booked, I noted it was our anniversary and every other year I had done that through Open Table, we at least had it acknowledged, nothing here. The food was good although not set apart in my mind. Overall a bit flat experience.
The food and service were great but the noise from a table of “adults” was unruly and drew the ire from the other tables throughout the floor. I don’t recall cackling as a step of wine tasting. Congrats you achieved “look at me status”. Nobody addressed if on the staff but they were clearly aware as several patrons asked to move farther away. Loud entitled guests with complete disregard for the anyone else’s dining experience can have a lasting impression on sustainable excellence. The selfie squad finally left but it didn’t appear due to the well overdue request from leadership. Apart from that, we enjoyed the libations and the meal. Just would be nice for management to be more engaged on managing the atmosphere as well.
It was my 2nd anniversary to celebrate here at the Élevage with my sweets. Booked the reservation literally while on the way on Selmons for 12pm. Got there too fast, sat at the bar and drank sum up. Got our table quick thereafter. Chicken and Waffles is what I got, which was a bit too dry (waffle) legit like bread. Tastes delicious, like a Spanish pastry almost. Come hungry and you will leave happy
😁😁 The theme is beautiful as it blends in with the hotel. Must go!
Food and service was very good. Best shrimp and grits I've had
Food was absolutely amazing. Cristiano was very knowledgeable and attentive. I highly recommend both Elevage and Cristiano!!
Great place to eat and be seen. Casual ambiance, gourmet food.
We were there for Sunday brunch at 11:30. Unfortunately, the hash was gone. I didn't find too many breakfast options. For example, there was 1 omelet option on the menu, ham and cheese which is uninspired. We were told that the menu had recently changed. I also found the portion sizes a little on the light side. 3 people at our table had the huevos rancheros. There was an abundance of black beans, and 2 thin slivers of avocado. No salsa, queso, sour cream, etc. on the plate which would've been nice. While the 3 pancakes were delicious, it should've included a side of fruit or meat rather than just the few chopped apples on top. It all felt minimalistic. I'm sorry to say all of this. I was just expecting more and was disappointed.
It was my birthday! :D I apologize I don’t remember our server’s name but she was awesome! She made sure everyone had a great time and was able to take advantage of the happy hour. We will definitely be back!
Great food as expected. Wait staff was off their game.....possibly new associate as mgt assisted with a few items they neglected to table. Not the end of the day, but for a higher end, white table cloth venue one would expect the pro versus JV squad.
They are a restaurant in transition as new chef. That said the steak tartare was exceptional. Happy hour bar menu fantastic.
We are breakfast which everything we had was well executed.
The one dinner my wife ordered the ribeye which the meat was prime and dry aged. They smothered it in Asher blue and onion rings. You really couldn’t taste the meat itself. When you have such great ingredients why hide flavors? Hope new chef corrects. Still good but you don’t need a great prime dry aged beef for that dish.
Wine list overpriced and wines by glass mediocre at best. Bern’s for example had Col Solare by the glass. This should be at Elevage as well.
It’s still a good hotel restaurant when you don’t feel like going out. But you don’t have to go far to get much better.
We did happy hour every day and the bar was more than willing to ask kitchen to make the Steak Tartare. They also had other great items. The bar is a serious bar and they make excellent craft cocktails. Don’t miss that are the bar menu. Then go elsewhere for dinner unless it’s raining which is why we are there the last night.
Hoping new chef fixes inadequacies in menu and execution. I like this hotel and for some reason the food for a place where hotel is “Epicurian” and restaurant is “Elevage” should be better.
Exceptional service. Apps were alright compared to the amazing main course. Cocktails are exceptional.
Best chicken and waffles in Tampa!
Food was great. Had the filet. Service was a little slow. Overall good experience.
