Élevage at Epicurean Hotel
A neighborhood restaurant...that just happens to be in a hotel.
Terrific food and service. Natalie was terrific, we placed a three course order upon introductions and she had drinks and courses staged perfectly. Fresh food and great drinks.
It was great
The evening was fine but I expected more. Service in the bar was slow and service at the table transactional. When we booked, I noted it was our anniversary and every other year I had done that through Open Table, we at least had it acknowledged, nothing here. The food was good although not set apart in my mind. Overall a bit flat experience.
The food and service were great but the noise from a table of “adults” was unruly and drew the ire from the other tables throughout the floor. I don’t recall cackling as a step of wine tasting. Congrats you achieved “look at me status”. Nobody addressed if on the staff but they were clearly aware as several patrons asked to move farther away. Loud entitled guests with complete disregard for the anyone else’s dining experience can have a lasting impression on sustainable excellence. The selfie squad finally left but it didn’t appear due to the well overdue request from leadership. Apart from that, we enjoyed the libations and the meal. Just would be nice for management to be more engaged on managing the atmosphere as well.
It was my 2nd anniversary to celebrate here at the Élevage with my sweets. Booked the reservation literally while on the way on Selmons for 12pm. Got there too fast, sat at the bar and drank sum up. Got our table quick thereafter. Chicken and Waffles is what I got, which was a bit too dry (waffle) legit like bread. Tastes delicious, like a Spanish pastry almost. Come hungry and you will leave happy
😁😁 The theme is beautiful as it blends in with the hotel. Must go!
Food and service was very good. Best shrimp and grits I've had
Food was absolutely amazing. Cristiano was very knowledgeable and attentive. I highly recommend both Elevage and Cristiano!!
Great place to eat and be seen. Casual ambiance, gourmet food.
We were there for Sunday brunch at 11:30. Unfortunately, the hash was gone. I didn't find too many breakfast options. For example, there was 1 omelet option on the menu, ham and cheese which is uninspired. We were told that the menu had recently changed. I also found the portion sizes a little on the light side. 3 people at our table had the huevos rancheros. There was an abundance of black beans, and 2 thin slivers of avocado. No salsa, queso, sour cream, etc. on the plate which would've been nice. While the 3 pancakes were delicious, it should've included a side of fruit or meat rather than just the few chopped apples on top. It all felt minimalistic. I'm sorry to say all of this. I was just expecting more and was disappointed.
It was my birthday! :D I apologize I don’t remember our server’s name but she was awesome! She made sure everyone had a great time and was able to take advantage of the happy hour. We will definitely be back!
Great food as expected. Wait staff was off their game.....possibly new associate as mgt assisted with a few items they neglected to table. Not the end of the day, but for a higher end, white table cloth venue one would expect the pro versus JV squad.
They are a restaurant in transition as new chef. That said the steak tartare was exceptional. Happy hour bar menu fantastic.
We are breakfast which everything we had was well executed.
The one dinner my wife ordered the ribeye which the meat was prime and dry aged. They smothered it in Asher blue and onion rings. You really couldn’t taste the meat itself. When you have such great ingredients why hide flavors? Hope new chef corrects. Still good but you don’t need a great prime dry aged beef for that dish.
Wine list overpriced and wines by glass mediocre at best. Bern’s for example had Col Solare by the glass. This should be at Elevage as well.
It’s still a good hotel restaurant when you don’t feel like going out. But you don’t have to go far to get much better.
We did happy hour every day and the bar was more than willing to ask kitchen to make the Steak Tartare. They also had other great items. The bar is a serious bar and they make excellent craft cocktails. Don’t miss that are the bar menu. Then go elsewhere for dinner unless it’s raining which is why we are there the last night.
Hoping new chef fixes inadequacies in menu and execution. I like this hotel and for some reason the food for a place where hotel is “Epicurian” and restaurant is “Elevage” should be better.
Exceptional service. Apps were alright compared to the amazing main course. Cocktails are exceptional.
Best chicken and waffles in Tampa!
Food was great. Had the filet. Service was a little slow. Overall good experience.
Food was good as always, but this time as well as the last couple of times we have been there for dinner, the service has really been sub-par, the waiter disappears and is nowhere to be found and then takes another 10 minutes to present your bill.
After they changed the dinner menu, we haven’t come back, because we weren’t impressed. So, we tried brunch. We really enjoyed it.
Service was excellent; food divine!
Food was on point, bartender makes a killer Manhattan.
Service was prompt and courteous.
We have been to brunch many times but this time was not good! The service was terrible, tables that were sat at the same time as us were done and leaving before we even received our food! Our waitress never even came back to see if we needed or wanted another cocktail, my husband had flag down another server. The food was mediocre as well. I expect good service especially for special occasions such as Fathers Day. Not sure we will be back.... 😏
Took forever to get a drink at the bar from stony faced barman who looked like he would rather be somewhere else. Even longer to cash out once our table was ready. Food was really good and saving grace of our evening there but overpriced. At the price point there are far better options out there. Also incredibly noisy despite being half full.
Even though I made a reservation for 11am it took about 30 minutes for there to be a table set for us. When we were let to our table about half of the tables were open so I have no idea what took 30 minutes to be seated with a reservation.
After we finished eating it took our server about 20 minutes to clear the dirty dishes from the table. For the price point we were paying the service was very poor.
Relaxing, enjoyable, good food, great service.
All good, however I resent having a required parking fee when I dine out
Loved this restaurant! Fabulous food, wonderful waiter, friendly staff and a wedding to boot!
Elevage is the best! We will return!
The food is great especially the chicken and waffles on the weekend brunch menu but the service was horrible. My party was barely checked on and we had tp get the attention of other wait staff.
Still one of the best places to eat in Tampa. The attention to detail is hard to miss.
Thank you again for a pleasant outing
Wine list and food menu are like dining in two completely different restaurants. Wine list is that of a five star restaurant. Menu is very pedestrian.
Minimal menu but brunch was excellent!!
Great food and service—really cool place— a little more intimate would have been nice!
Everything about the experience was excellent. Great service, fabulous food and a lovely space. If we lived here we would surely be regulars. I would specify what we ordered but really, I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu.
The lobster scramble was amazing, wife loved it, very generous lobster.
One of the best kept secrets of Tampa. Delicious food beautiful ambiance and lively atmosphere. Will definitely dine here again and again. Big thumbs Up!!!!
We were extremely disappointed in the service and food. The ribeye was very thin and full of fat and the filet was chewy. Our expectation of a "James Beard" chef was not met we would never recommend this Elevage. The manager, Alex, stopped by and "appreciated our feedback and would report the the kitchen. Not exactly what one would expect from the manager. If he had responded by offering another meal or something else this report could have been positive, not negative
We made a reservation for 4 for Mother's day. The food was incredibly delicious. We had the oysters and I had the brioche wrapped halibut with asparagus and a poppy seed sauce- so good! My son and husband had the filet and my daughter had the risotto and escargot- really scrumptious!
The waiter was really nice and even funny, however, our oyster appetizer plates sat there for quite awhile before being removed.
All is all it was one of the best dinners we've had in a long time!
We'll definitely be back.
The menu was unimpressive which surprised me considering the affiliation with Bern's. Underwhelming sums up my dining experience.
4 of us had the Redfish and Halibut entrees. Incredible. Fresh ingredients. Perfectly cooked. Service was excellent and wine selection was equally good. Third time in three years. We will he back!
The halibut was outstanding. Absolutely delicious. A tad on the pricey side but worth every bite. However, I thought the overall menu was limited. Definitely geared towards carnivores.
The restaurant is lovely but not lively (I was hoping for a more vibrant scene).
We celebrated our four year wedding anniversary there this week and the service and food were amazing! Thank you!
Our entree’s were cooked to perfection, service was flawless and the ambiance of the restaurant is unlike any of the other restaurants in the area. We will definitely be returning for another occasion.
