From Nick Mathers' Wish You Were Here Group, Élephante Scottsdale channels the spirit and cuisine of coastal southern Italy. Inspired by travels to Pantelleria and the Aeolian Islands, Élephante transports guests to the Italian Coast through thoughtfully designed spaces and seasonal menus.

Been wanting to try the place for quite some time heard mixed reviews from friends. Finally made it over there. It was extremely hot in the restaurant. We were sweating the entirety of our visit and couldn’t wait to leave. For food We tried the waitresses suggestions of a Barrata pizza, a couple pasta dishes, strip, steak, And the whipped eggplant. Everything was good but nothing “wow “. The food came out extremely fast so they definitely want to flip tables and get you out of there, Service was extremely extremely slow, tried to flag the Manager down twice as he walked by our table and got ignored.. ended up ordering from three different waitresses. It was quite confusing. I usually look at the menu prior to arriving and I wish I did. There’s not much on it.. Nothing impressive and definitely would not be back .

Everything we ordered was great, especially the tiramisu. Our server, Courtney, did a fabulous job. Don’t waste your time driving around in front of the restaurant looking for parking on top. Parking is plentiful down below.

Tables are so close that you hear the girl next to you complaining about why she’s always with guys that can’t get hard for her. If you’re on the husky side or have issues with cramped spaces, it’s not going to be comfortable. Our cacio was just “ok”, tasted like parmesan more than pecorino, and the pasta was under-cooked, not al dente. I was planning on coming back to try the pizza with some friends, but now I’m just not sure if I’m willing to be disappointed again, and I don’t want to disappoint my friends.

Too many tables and not enough personal space! The food was amazing, the service was amazing, but there are far too many tables shoved into this restaurant. I could have reached out and touched the people at tables on both sides of us, and hear every conversation going on as though it was happening at my own table. I enjoyed the food but will not return because when I go out to eat I don’t want to cuddle up to strangers.

I'm so glad Elephante is in AZ now. IYKYK....get the whipped eggplant dip as your appetizer for the table. Their vodka pasta is amazing but this time i tried their ragu. I'm still impressed! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Make space for dessert...you do not want to skip out on the Pistachio Sundae. This is pretty filling so make sure to share and come hungry! I love their refreshing cocktails like the aperol spritz but they also have frozen slushie cocktails like a pina colada and a whole section for espresso martinis if you like lavender, mocha, etc. with a base of vodka, tequila or mezcal. I got the mocha espresso martini which I think had the mezcal base. Needless to say I left full and would highly recommend coming here if you haven't been to the location in Santa Monica, CA. It is super loud so just be ready to shout across the table to talk to your group. The servers are super kind and give you great recommendations, even if you are a regular.
