   The food and service are excellent. But on a Sunday afternoon, the Sunset Room is extremely loud and chaotic. Not a place to have a conversation.

   I visited Elephante on a Sunday for brunch with my mom and husband, and it was a fantastic experience. We made reservations ahead of time, and parking was easy in the public lot across the street. After a quick walk over, we checked in and took the elevator up to the gorgeous rooftop restaurant with stunning views. When we arrived, it was a bit chilly (thanks to the coastal breeze), but we lucked out with a cozy seat next to the fireplace—perfect for a relaxing brunch. The cocktails were a highlight: we tried the passionfruit mojito, espresso martini, and a dirty martini with blue cheese olives—all delicious. I especially loved the smoky mezcal espresso martini! For food, we started with the whipped eggplant, which was velvety and rich, served with warm, fluffy bread (they even brought us extra to finish it—great service!). I had the breakfast pizza, a light and tasty dish perfect for sharing. My mom enjoyed her breakfast sandwich, and my husband raved about the steak and eggs, particularly the fresh eggs and flavorful chimichurri sauce. By the time we left, the place was getting crowded, so I can only imagine how lively it is in the evenings. But the vibe, service, and food were all very good. I’d definitely return for brunch, cocktails, or small plates.

   We had a wonderful time! The ambiance was incredible and so was the food. The whipped eggplant appetizer lived up to the hype!

   Hair in my food. Didn’t say anything. Then found another and waiter walking right up when it happened. He said “sorry” and then said he would take the dish off the menu. I think they should have comped more than a 15 salad where I ate two pieces of hair. Or offered dessert or something.

   Elephante is such a beautiful restaurant. It’s more than that, it’s a place weee you can leave all your problems behind and walk into a beautiful energetic environment by the beach and completely forget your in LA. You’re by the beach and it heals you. Along with such amazing delicious food and the sweetest servers. I made reservations to celebrate my mom’s birthday and both my parents were impressed with how beautiful everything and everyone was. I took my camera with me and even decided to blog the whole Elephante experience. Nick was our server and he really made sure to go above and beyond and make my mom’s birthday a little more special.

   Off night. Food was very meh. But I’ve had good food before and the ambiance is fun if you are seated in the “fun” or “nice” section of the space
