Elephant Walk South End
dinner with my dear cousin
I have been coming to Elephant Walk since mid-90s and this location is true to to the old Beacon Street experience. Old and new menu items did not disappoint. THe service was outstanding. The Rouleaux app is amazing. So much flavor in each dish. The wine and cocktail lists are interesting too. Put this in your standard rotation.
First time in 15 years. Like the location.
Love the food, as always.
Food and service were excellent!
Such a great place to dine! Don’t let the French/Cambodian thing confuse you. Just know that whatever you order will be delicious. The Loc Lac and duck breast were absolutely perfect. The atmosphere was so nice and the staff made us feel like we were dining in there home. It has a casual feel but the staff was so professional and attentive. Looking forward to coming back!
The food and the cocktails at Elephant Walk are reliably fantastic, which is why we keep coming back. Unique, underrated spot!
We had a carnivore, pescatarian and a lapsed vegetarian eating together. We all agreed it was one of the best meals we've had in a long time. Don't hesitate to try it.
Great flavors and interesting menu. Will go back.
My sisters and I enjoyed our cocktails and delicious meals. Elephant Walk never disappoints.
Had an awesome time here! Great food, terrific attentive service, and nice ambience suitable for conversation.
Love the atmosphere, the staff (special shout-out to Jason), the food and drinks. Great experience all around!
It’s a really interesting restaurant from a food standpoint. The French and Cambodian food existed separate from each other, with seemingly little crossover or fusion. We tried food from each sphere of influence and both were fantastic. It would be nice if they came up with a better way of preventing peanut cross contamination in the fryer, as we couldn’t try anything deep fried (half the Cambodian menu) due to this.
Had not been here in a long time. It was soooo good. Food was excellent, fast, and service was outstanding. They have plexiglas dividers, not close to anyone. Enjoy being able to talk in a normal voice and hear well.
The staff at the Elephant Walk are amazing! The food and ambiance are second to none too! Love this place!!
Took the recommendations of the server and they were excellent.
Our server in the hadestown shirt was incredible!
Food was good but didn’t blow me away. Duck was not evenly tender and for the value we probably wouldn’t go back again. Service was extremely friendly.
Don is fantastic. Great food and mocktails. Very welcoming environment.
Our server and everyone who brought items to our table were incredibly kind and hospitable and also excited about the food and happy to help, providing great suggestions. No one rushed us, and everything we tried was fantastic. I have nothing to compare French Cambodian to, but if you want a great night, cozy food, and to be taken care of by a staff who love that you're there, this is the place.
I love Elephant Walk. It continues to be one of my top choices for a South End restaurant. Amazingly, it has ended up being a site of a graduation announcement, an engagement announcement, and many other special times for my family. Great food, relaxed ambiance, just a lovely place to be.
Went out to dinner with kids after Hadestown performance. Our waitor was very attentive and funny!
First time sitting in the back of the restaurant at a cramped table, and a party of about 20 people seated near us. They were loud and kind of obnoxious. Other than that, everything else was wonderful as usual.
Just a lovely place to spend a meal with friends, great food consistently good service. God for the spring roll ; )
Wonderful: Great food, terrific service. Wonderful artwork.
We had a really nice evening and the food was fabulous!
Great place to have a solid conversation without shouting or ruining the vibe.
Loved this. We mostly stayed on the Cambodian side of the menu, and it was all very good. We had one French meal and it was also good. Dessert was delightful and the drinks were very nice. Highly recommend.
The food was excellent and we enjoyed the outdoor dining experience. The next to the street, we didn’t even notice the traffic
As always excellent.
Jason took care of us and he really made the meal, which was absolutely delicious. We will be back!~
Food was good but service experience was unacceptable. When someone in our group asked about the ingredients in a dish that was served because of an allergy the waitress curtly pointed to us and said “if anything happens that’s your fault.” Seriously? We really wanted to like this place but we came for the meal, not the attitude.
Amazing staff & food as always!
everything was perfect until a mouse ran out from under my table....
Always a pleasure to dine at Elephant Walk. Definitely a staple of the South End
Another excellent meal!! One of our favorite restaurants for sure!!!
Excellent staff. Fun combo of Cambodian and French dishes. Be sure to check out the specials.
The Elephant Walk never disappoints. Service, food, cocktail, wine and ambiance are all superb. Richard, Don, Michael and Sylvain always ensure that everything goes well. Furthermore, ALL employees have been fully vaccinated which is a great aspect of service. 5 stars for everything at Elephant Walk.
Great flavors, as always!
We tried 3 new dishes and they were all scrumptious. Elephant Walk is never a disappointment.
We arrived hungry and were happy to try both types of spring rolls, the crispy dumplings and a special appetizer of soba noodles. Each item and sauces was different and extremely flavorful. When they offer you hot sauce, say yes! They didn’t “need” it but it definitely enhanced things. Each of the entrees -tuna, catfish, steak and a shrimp special drew raves as did the non-alcoholic drinks. For dessert we tried the isles flotante, fruit mousse and coconut custard. Although we enjoyed them all, the fruit mousse was the favorite.
Great food and great service. Definitely will be back.
