   The restaurant week was not particularly great and was very costly I would love to try it again when it’s not restaurant week and I can select ala carte

   This was probably our 4th time eating there and we’ve usually had a good experience. This time however, we were rushed at every turn. Busser literally tried to take my plate from me while i was eating a bite off the plate. They were doing a prix fixe thing for restaurant week and didn’t include descriptions of any of the supplemental menu items you could add a la carte on their special menu. They didn’t allow ANY breathing time between courses - even bringing dessert to our table while one of our party of 2 had left the table for a moment. We had early resos when the place was nearly empty, yet they sat us at what has to be one of the worst-located tables in the entire place. We asked to move right away and they put us at a better table, but one up toward the front that I believe is more used for walk-ins than resos. Why not accommodate people who had gone out of their way to make a reso with a nice table? We were even more surprised with this decision once more people arrived and they were seating parties of 2 at the choice 4-tops. Food was fine though assembly of some of the rolls and nigiri was subpar - a first for this place in our experience. Never had their stuff falling apart as much as it was last night. All in all it was just fine - just - and with tax/tip over $200 for two. Worth it? Definitely not.

   The food here is solidly forgettable. We had a couple of items which were decent, if not vastly overpriced. Another of our rolls was actively not good. Sake sashimi was served in a pool of a soy based sauce (a good sashimi should be fish, nothing else). The uni was good. The Wagyu beef advertised to be “lightly seared” was overcooked and bland. All of this for an extraordinary bill at the finish, very disappointing. There are far better sushi restaurants in the neighborhood.

   Food was amazing. Service was amazing. The ambience in the room was great, got busier the longer we waited but not too loud. It was my friends birthday and they brought out sparklers and bubbles with the dessert. It was wonderful!

   Our favorite sushi before the ballet! Service is excellent and the Japanese Uni and Hamachi with truffle are a delight!
