Went for lunch and a weekday and I have to say, it was spectacular. The wait staff was amazing, the food was extremely good. It was quiet because it was middle of the day during the week, I assume it could get pretty loud in there but it was a nice spot, nice building. Only complaint, the washrooms are downstairs, a bit of a maze but they do offer accessible washrooms for those that need it. Very good, will definitely go back again when back in the city.
It was very good! I would go back again!
The atmosphere was very loud. The food was decent and the service was okay.
The food was decent. The waitress was VERY unattentive, we would have to wave her down to order a drink then instead of asking if anyone else wanted a drink she would just walk away and chit chat with the other servers and bartender. We even had to track her down to ask if we could pay and again she walked away before we all finished paying.
Cody was a great server. Food was delicious.
The brownie was deadly good. Lamb tacos delish
I would say that it was very good. Great environment even my mother and son plus my husband like the food. Thanks,
Came in with my husband and kids for dinner and we all enjoyed it thoroughly. Food was excellent, service was great. Will definitely return!
Great burgers and great service. All at a good price. Will visit again
Ordered the fish and chips-came dripping oil to the table-and continued to do so the next 10min. I cut off drenched portion. Everyone else also thought their meal was also 'ok'
Everything was great, except there was a very cold draft about knee level which was uncomfortable. The outside temperature was quite cold though. One reason for this might have been the inside main door was wide open, thus not able to block any draft when outside door was opened. We will be back.
Nice place, casual ambiance, comfort food.
Great for friends get together events
very pretty location with amazing ambiance and great staff. will definitely be heading back here soon !!
I definitely would return to try more dishes. Service was superb!
The food and service was quite good but it took 1 hour to receive our order. Given that this is a downtown location with many patrons being people that work downtown, this is a major reason why I would not come back. There are many other places with the same quality of food where one does not have to wait 60 minutes for some burgers (and one of the orders was wrong, and one was cold).
App was delivered to table very quickly, but server forgot to enter our meal order so we were left waiting for a very long time. Four hungry kids waiting 40 minutes for entrees? Not cool.
PUB FOOD anyone. If you like pub food it is a good find. This is not gourmet dinning. Does not pretend to be. But they have good beer and pub food.
Comfortable surroundings and good selection of foods. Lots of British dishes such as bangers and mash chicken pot pie as well as other interesting dishes. Had the slum dog it was very differently and very good. Burgers salads all very fresh and tasty
Excellent jalapeño mac and cheese
Overall good experience
Comfortable environment and lovely staff. Ate alone at the bar and had an enjoyable time. Food was great but very salty (I also ordered everything with gravy so that could be on me). I'd recommend this spot :)
Bacon wrapped meatloaf was outstanding! Sheppards Pie was very different but quite yummy.
When my husband and I first walked in, I wondered if it had been a mistake to bring the kids. They were the only three in the restaurant! It definitely has a pub and bar feel to it. However we sat upstairs which was quieter and more spacious. They did have a children's menu which made my ten year old happy.
Our server was excellent! Very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about allergies. My daughter has a peanut allergy. The server knew which entrees were best and double checked with the chef. I appreciated the extra effort.
The food was good English style pub food. Everyone enjoyed their meal. No complaints. The atmosphere upstairs was relaxed, downstairs felt busy and louder. The long tables downstairs make the restaurant seem well suited for larger groups of people.
Bring the kids to a lunch or an early dinner. Leave them home when it's later or it will feel like you are bringing your kids to a bar.
