   Food has gone down hill. Lack of flavour in the wings and the burger. Was left for 10 minutes and had to attract attention to get a drink. Very much left alone. Waiter wasn't carrying his pen and notr pad returned a few minutes later. Service was fast but lacking soul. Pinot noir was shockingly bad. Attempted to split bill with my guest and staff didn't listen. Had to cancel the payment and enter my self. No staff member was rude but just totally disengaged. No one sold me anything at all. Would have bought another Coke or beer or anything if anyone checked on us Have brought my kids for the play area but wife won't return because the food has gone so down hill. Sorry its not a great review but I was just generally disappointed and underwhelmed

   Great place to go with children. Huge play area just off the restaurant. Clear view to see children while you eat. Our kids were very happy in there and played for almost 2 hours, aged 3 & 6. Food was lovely. It's dear enough but tasty.

    Excellent service, great to go out with young kids who are entertained with the play area, food amazing as always but what makes me want to go back again and again is the play area for the kids so we can finish a meal for once 🤣

    Loved it! will be back soon and often :-D Specially if you need plans with kids, as there's an amazing playground. You can really enjoy your lunch while they enjoy playing.

    Great for families as have play area. Chicken wings great. Everything else I have had in off the menu very average. Not comparable to E&C in temple bar

    I have only ever been to Elephant and Castle in Temple Bar which I go to most times i visit Dublin. However the one in Lucan was more convenient as I was travelling from Galway to Belfast and it was halfway. What a revelation - the food was just as good, service great, easy parking and easy to find - we will be back !!!

    The staff were very pleasant but inefficient. The food was not great, at all. Greek salad was bad. Wings were OK but dry and not very warm. Chips were good. It felt like there was no manager. Drinks were very, very slow and had to be requested twice. Table staff were very friendly and sweet, but it felt as though there was no proper serving system in place. Building itself was good. No light at all in dark car park. Unsafe if alone.

    Its really just the play area for kids so that we can eat in peace that keeps bringing us back. Food always tastes good but service is terrible. We have been around 5 times and keep hoping for improving giving it another chance. U can almost bet and waiting a half hour for a drink to reach your table. Our sides are always forgotten to be brought out with our food. Your chips come as your just about finished the rest of your food which is really annoying. All staff are running off their feet around u but not one in sync im not sure they know whats going on. Wont be returning have it a few chances. Its a shame really

    Great family friendly restaurant with a side playroom for kids which was AMAXING!!!! Thrilled!!! Music became really loud at one point and we couldn’t have a conversation, but it was turned down a little when asked. Food was delicious. Good selection. Would recommend

    We went because of the kids area which was a great plus . Food was nice , my son demolished his cheeseburger very quickly so a good sign. The wings aren’t a patch on temple bar ones , they are a bit dry. My only gripe was pricing. I ordered a glass of wine which wasn’t available , I changed to a different one which happened to be cheaper but they didn’t change it on the bill, it was minor so I couldn’t be bothered to mention it but they should correct . Also I asked if I could have. Half portion of wings , they charged 12euro when it is 17 for full which isn’t half but also it was charged as the kids meal so if anything we should have been offered an extra ice cream and drink . Servers were nice , our food was ok but nothing special , we d go back for the kids area alone .

    Food was lovely. Kids pasta was on the cold side. The kids burger didn't come with cheese my son was a bit disappointed. His burger looked a bit dry. The buns for the adult burgers where too small for the size on the burgers & the toppings. Overall wasnice though.

    Was expecting more. Was excited to allow kids to have a play before having dinner, but play area was broken, very very messy and some areas not well maintained and it's relatively newly opened. Food was ok, quiet cool when served. Cheese not melted. Won't be back

    Second time there, 1st time was amazing. 2nd time unfortunately not so much. Manager and some other staff wasn't very polite, made it clear he had no interest being there, not even a thank you or eye contact when we paid for our meal. We ordered the chicken wings, some of them where ice cold and others where hot, and was odd as it wasn't the ones on top. Obviously mixing old unheated wings in with fresh cooked ones. Wouldn't be too keen to go back to be honest.

    I’d return just for the kids play area alone, that’s brilliant for kids, they even have kids toilets in that area. As for the food, I got the char grilled burger & it was cold/Luke warm maybe, I didn’t complain or return it however. Service wasn’t great, we had to wait a while for someone to take our order, then when we wanted to order dessert we were waiting for service, no staff to be seen. We went for early dinner, half 4 but already they hadn’t got any cheesecake left which is what we wanted to order. When the bill came they had over charged us, we ordered from a set valentines menu but they charged us separately for the desserts, only that I checked over the bill it would have gone unnoticed & we would have ended up paying more. They needed two staff members to figure this out & redo the bill. Wasn’t the best experience or nicest of foods but I’d try it again & order something different & return for the kids play area. My husband was happy with his order of wings & enjoyed them.

    Despite being busy for bank holiday weekend, the service was very good, attentive staff, food was tasty and staff recommend items for our group and advise on portion sizes. Lovely experience will be back soon

    We did a 200km turn trip journey just to go to this restaurant, my son's birthday so his choice. First time in this particular 'Elephant and Castle'. Can not fault the food, it is fab, the chicken wings are amazing and the real reason my son picked here. We were sitting first booth left of the kitchen. Over all service was very slow, I had to ask to order drinks after some time when we were ordering our food, but in saying that our server was such a nice person. While half way through our food we had to listen and see a very irate floor manager shout very aggressively to the kitchen staff for the lack of vegetables available. It was shocking to see and hear, we felt very sorry for the staff being spoken to like that, so embarrassing for them, and it wasn't over quickly. Then a few minutes later in the same place beside us had to witness a very unhappy customer shouting at a different staff member, the same manager stood beside the customer but was of no help to the staff member and totally ignored the customer. The customer was following the staff member around giving out. Again food was fab, service slow but server lovely. But having front row seats to the 2 aggressive encounters was extremely unpleasant.

    We were very disappointed by the wait times. We ordered our food and waited almost 50 minutes for it to arrive, then once we were given a dessert menu we waited a considerable time before being served yet again. We have been here a number of times but after this most recent experience we will not be back.

    We were seated promptly. We dropped a glass on the ground and explained this to the waiter and asked if we can get it replaced. Clearly he didn’t understand what we said; as he was examining the glass closely to see if there was any dirt on it. So we said it again and as he walked away he continued looking at the glass checking for any marks. We waited 20 minutes before our order was taken. Our food took a long time to come and it didn’t come all together. Our sides did not come with our food, we said it to two different waitresses and then it finally arrived but at this stage we had finished eating our main course. We weren’t offered tea or desserts. The kids menu included desserts but they didn’t get them. The staff seem nice and friendly but the overall service was poor. Also the fire exit was blocked and used for storage of high chairs. There is a play area for children
