Executive Chef Scott Anderson chose the name "elements" for the restaurant because he is passionate about sourcing fresh, local, organic ingredients and sustainably raised meats and seafood. He wants the very elements of your meal to play a major role in the taste of it. Then he and his team work to reveal the complementary flavor dimensions inherent in the elements by skillfully combining them—often in edgy new ways. Restaurant menus change constantly here, making this the dinner restaurant that is excitingly different every time you return.

If you're a foodie, you want to know where—and how--your food grew. It's fascinating, it's a good health practice and it provides extra pleasure from everyday experiences, like a meal with friends. elements is the American restaurant serving local steak and seafood, but with global influences in seasoning and cooking methods. A true culinary adventure!

Elements is likely the best restaurant in NJ and on a par with some of the world’s best. The menu showcases locally grown/foraged foods and each dish is interesting, innovative, often surprising, and always delicious.

As usual the food was flawless, a real culinary adventure. My third visit, I find the foods mostly transformed to a unique epicurean delight. Last evenings quibble, I enjoyed the mushroom however it was merely a
Mushroom, not nearly as delightful as past choices. A wonderful evening, Elements is an EVENT!

It's very, very expensive, but the food you get is mouthwatering. It is expertly considered and crafted. We had the 5 course tasting menu and each bite built on the last.

My favorite spot! Elements never fails to please with food that sets a new standard for gourmet, with wine that is beyond what I have had at other top restaurants in an intimate and modern setting with views of the kitchen. The service is absolutely exceptional. Sommelier is warm, professional and very knowledgeable. All the servers who work in the open kitchen wish away empty plates and deliver tantalizing courses explaining the preparation.

I love this restaurant. Can't wait to go back!

You must leave a credit card number to get a reservation. If you cancel within 48 hours of the scheduled dining time you will be charged. We had the four course menu. The quail eggs in the bird’s nest was adorable and tasty. Cheapest glass of wine is $16 for a short pour. There are only about 30 seats and this place is very expensive for very small entree portions. The beef entree ($59 if ala carte) was essentially two tablespoons of mashed potatoes with beef the size of one slice of london broil topped with a teaspoon of delicious mushrooms in a lovely sauce. My friend came home and made hotdogs. Very plain atmosphere. Bar is downstairs at Mistral. Service is very good and you won’t be rushed— quite the opposite. I think they forgot to offer us coffee. We were done with dessert and had asked for the check when they remembered. Check to see if your tip is included.

This was an amazingly wonderful culinary experience for my husband and I! We were celebrating our 8 year anniversary! We loved every dish brought to us! The flavors and textures of the food were very pleasing to our palates! We love that local ingredients were used for the dishes! The wine pairings with the chef’s tasting menu were amazing! The service from everyone was absolutely enjoyable!

What a dinner! Amazing experience, the food was exceptional, we opted for the 9 dishes chef menu (+3 amuses bouche!) and the ‘standard’ wine pairing. Difficult to pick a favorite among all the small dishes. Presentation and food were incredible, served by the chef and cooking staff, a pricey but well worth it experience.

Memorable and very special meal. The 4 course dinner with wine pairing was perfect. Every single bite, including the bread and butter and the after dinner Home made “peppermint pattie”, was sublime. The wines paired perfectly. The fresh local ingredients really shine. Original, unusual dishes served in an elegant and comfortable setting. The open kitchen is amazing to watch but not at all distracting. Everything was so delicious, it’s difficult to single out dishes, but do not miss the local chanterelles or local rasperry dessert.

Excellent food, awesome service. A WONDERFUL experience. I let them know, when I made the reservations, that we were celebrating my husband's birthday. Everyone that came by, wished him happy birthday and they even gave him a card signed by the staff.
Not inexpensive, but worth the price!!!

The team at Elements continues to take food to a very high art form. The tasting menu, with a couple of glasses of wine that I preferred, was perfect for me. After trying the best places in Mercer, Somerset, Morris and Hunterdon counties, this place is unique and despite some seriously good completion, must be at the top of my list for New Jersey.

The food, the service, and the space combine to lift the diner to a place where nature and craft combine to satisfy, entertain, edify, and educate. I think of the meticulously executed amuse bouche, smoked quail eggs presented in a nest. Spring peas. Surf clam. Sea bass sashimi. Sea trout. Each course was intelligently conceived, well executed, and perfectly presented. Great cocktail, outstanding wine pairings. Just wow. But the best part -- we had fun. Thanks!

What a memorable meal! It is difficult to express how unique the dining experience is at Elements. The presentation of food, the tastes, the service- everything! We had the 5 course tasting menu and could barely walk out the door! It is expensive but in my mind worth every penny! One of my best ever meals!! Btw- it was our anniversary and at the end of the meal they brought us a card in a wax sealed envelope signed by the whole staff!!!

Creative, artisan foodie "omakase" experience. Each plate is a work of art and half the fun is seeing what you will be served next. Chefs bring out the dishes and explain what you are getting; would have liked a little more info at each presentation...the meal was wonderfully paced and leisurely but the presentation was rushed. We loved every single plate and even though portions were small leaving us wanting more at the beginning, the progression was smart because after 13-14 plates in the Grand Tasting, we were quite full! This is not cheap eats but a true dining experience using all the senses. Food was fresh, tasty, unique even for jaded foodies. They also tailor to dietary restrictions/food aversions. I would caution the chefs to be less exhuberant in their use of salt. As the menu changes seasonally, we are looking forward to our next visit, perhaps to sample the fall harvest flavors.

Went here for my graduation celebration dinner. This is my 2nd time eating here. Last time I had the chef’s tasting menu and now I came for the Singlethread Farms collaboration dinner. The food at this restaurant is extremely different from any other restaurant in New Jersey. The food was very well done, interesting, and experimental. Service was outstanding: very seamless and attentive. The food is a bit expensive though. I would say this restaurant is my favorite and the best restaurant in New Jersey.
