We ate at Element before the Opera. Service was spot on...our waiter Rendle was friendly, knowledgeable, accommodating and helped us to make great decisions for our table. All of the staff are well trained and the service is high end, but welcoming and comfortable. All of our food was fantastic, except for some of the vegetables on my Mom’s plate were a little underdone and the amuse bouche was so-so....but the bread, butters, seared scallops, petit filet, linguine plus shared sides (potatoes, asparagus & mushrooms) .... all incredibly delicious and so perfectly prepared. Shared flourless chocolate cake & apple pie....a great finish! Made our night at the Opera even more memorable!
High end and sophisticated. Very nice.
New menu extremely disappointing. Went back for specific items no longer available.will not return although this was my favorite restaurant in Sarasota and we went often.
Elegant. Classy but not pretentious. Wonderful contemporary ambiance. Charming, skilled hostesses. Friendly waiter. Great food, but pricey.
Excellent food and service!
Excellent, congenial service and delicious food.
The restaurant is lovely. We felt it was overpriced. The waiter was a bit arrogant and they only had 1 bottle of the wine we ordered. Wine was expensive. Our bill for 3 people plus tip was over $300.
While my wife & I were visiting Sarasota, we decided on Element for a romantic night out. One of the best decisions! Great food, great service, great atmosphere!
Excellent overall. Server was helpful and attentive. Seemed like restaurant was understaffed though as server “flew around”. . Host told us that our table was being prepared as we waited at the bar. He seemed to forget about us so we sought him out to get seated. Then we were taken to a table different from one we were told was being prepared. Nice restaurant and pleasing selection with excellent food.
We had 2 nights in Sarasota and chose this for the first evening. I'm all about the ambiance first, wine second, food third (I know) and I was very very pleased with this choice. We ended up sitting at one of the hi-top tables in the bar which was perfect. It affords one a view of the most of the restaurant which is quite impressive in its design. Huge wine selection, and great food. We were very happy with our choice.
When we arrived we told the waitress we were going to a show and had 1-1/4 hrs. And had to leave at 7. She said no problem. We ordered and then waited and waited. Our main course arrived at 6:55. We had to gulp down our food to leave by 7:10 and arrived at 7:28 for a 7:30 show. We keep asking the sever where the food was and were told no problem it’s coming. Also, the sides are quite expensive for what you get. The Caesar salad had three pieces of lettuce, two croutons and very little dressing for $14. I would say it’s over priced for what you get and would not return.
We have eaten at Element 3 times in the last month! The ambiance is great- lively but quiet enough comfortable conversation. Our waiter was helpful and very "upbeat". The food is always good- don't miss the Brussels sprouts as well as the garlic mashed potatoes. Two of us had the Grouper special- it was excellent...the others had steak and lobster tail and the veal bolognese- they said it was as good as in Milan! Interestingly we arrived at 6:15 on a Sunday night ( we had to get home for the Grammy's!) and there was a wine special of 50% off of any bottle of wine at $100 or more- it was a great way to try a wine we might not have ordered. We were too full for dessert!
What a great restaurant!! Impeccable service,, great food !! Bravo !!
Cocktails were Ok. Food was good. Expected much better for both.
Service was extremely slow.
Would have had dessert but was ready to leave.
Love this place...2nd visit in 3 weeks...both other couples we took were very discriminating diners, one from NY and the other London...fantastic!
The best meal we've had in Sarasota in a long time. Emily and Jason made the evening even more perfect with their professional and fun attention to every detail.
Shrimp small plate is amazing!!! Duck Ravioli superb. Veal pasta very good. Love the atmosphere and service. May be my new favorite Sarasota restaurant
Simply outstanding fine dining experience.
We absolutely loved Element! It was our first visit and our waiter Todd was very helpful with our menu options. He made us feel welcome and did not rush us. We all ordered a different dish and each one was presented beautifully and all tasted amazing! The manager came by to make sure we were all happy & even came out with a special treat when he found out we were celebrating a birthday. My new favorite restaurant. Can't wait to go back!
Exceptional, starting with the food. Creative sauces and blend of perfectly cooked ingredients.
Imagination choices. Memorable presentation. Ask to check out the Chef's table video intro protected on tablecloth! Great service. Plus a complimentary shuttle to/from the restaurant. The
This is a small, quiet, gourmet restaurant with excellent service, but unremarkable food. We recently had duck, which was accompanied by a mediocre ravioli. Portion was pretty small. My girlfriend had muscles which were also below average. On the plus side it is quiet and a rather rare place where you can dine and have a conversation without shouting. The decor features digital graphics on the walls, which is nicely done. Service was very good and win prices were generally reasonable.
I love the décor but the food was very mediocre. Very nicely presented but tasteless. For the prices, I thought the food would be better.
Element is a very elegant dining experience. This was our second time there and found the service excellent again. However, the food was not as well prepared this time. One entree arrived barely heated and another was requested to be rare and was barely medium. Perhaps sticking to seafood is best at Element.
My husbands birthday. We had been there for drinks before not dinner. My overall impression was they try too hard. They say that they make everything from scratch, some of it is not great.
If your going to the trouble of making your own butter let it tAste like butter not cheese or garlic. They give you An amuse bouchée , it did not spark my palate,it was uninspired beans in a little dish. They give you an intermiso which was supposed to be iced, mine was liquid my husbands was iced. The steak was awesome, very delicious and cooked perfectly. My grouper special was good, but the temperature was not . It came out basically room temperature. We love good food presented well, its missing its mark, I mean who puts a sugar glaze on bone marrow.
Great service , knowledgeable and friendly staff ,best steak, will be back
Although we were on time for our res, the manager, JC, asked if we'd mind waiting at the bar for a few extra minutes and he would cover our drinks. The drinks were very good, by the way. After waiting we were led to a special table out of the flow. It was probably in deference to our "older" persona. But be that as it may, the dinner selections were exciting, and we had a hard time choosing. The meal was delicious and the wine selection offered was perfect for the meal.
Food was superb and our server was the best! Will be back!
Easily and hands down the best food and service in the Sarasota area. Attention to detail. Home made everything. From mussels to 38 ounce ribeye we shared to desert limoncello and all the nice treats they throw in before, during and after. I had not had someone reset my napkin when I went to the restroom in a long time. lol.
True to it's name, the eclectic menu featured a description of each element that went into the selections, with an emphasis on unique ingredients. The only drawback was the type face on the menu, which was so small that even with reading glasses, I had to have my table-mate read them to me.
Very nice for celebratory dinner.
Many extras with dinner
Good decor, nice ambience, except for 2 (two) huge screens showing an endless movie of rain falling on the ground, which sort of making one feel like one has to go to the toilet. Definitely not the best idea for a restaurant.
It was our anniversary, it was a little disappointing that they didn’t offer us dessert but overall a good place, we’ll be back.
Three of the group had salmon and it was delicious. One had a NY Strip and it was tough and underdone. Service was a little slow. Beautiful environment.
Emily was our server and she was delightful...we had a 7 PM reservation and were seated promptly upon arrival...we were offered the option to sit or go to the very nice bar for a cocktail...my guests were from NYC and are used to high end dining as he is a Surgeon...the food was outstanding (we all had beef), and the sides were plentiful...the wine list is world class (I found a Guado Al Tasso at a very fair price) and even the deserts were impressive...we will definelty return to Element...nice job guys!
The service was wonderful. Kelsey, our waitress, was fantastic.
We were seated at the Chef’s Table, with Kelsie as our server. The experience was marvelous and service perfect. Our food was delicious, enjoyed by each of us. I would recommend Element and we will be back soon.
This was our second visit in 10 days to element. It’s one of our favorite restaurants in the Sarasota area. Great steaks, fish and terrific options for people who Per for a more vegetarian style diet. The wait staff was very friendly and helpful.
We have eaten at Element twice and each time had a super dinner in an elegant gourmet setting.
Enjoyed the recommendation of wine : Prestige Red Blend
