Friendly and knowledgeable staff. A delight and enjoyment to dine at such a place. Will make a point to visit again when in traveling through Sarasota again.
The meal was exceptional. I decided to order vegetarian and it was full of flavor and spice. Others at the table had the pork and scallops and all were exceptional. The citrus greens salad was amazing. Tipped it off with shared desserts - a great meal and evening.
Wonderful food and service
First time in and we enjoyed Element very much. The service was excellent and the food was mostly well done - we ordered the octopus and charcuterie to start and they were just ok, entrees were good, amuse, sherbet and petit fours were a nice touch. The cocktail menu was interesting, although one guest in our party had two of the same that were slightly inconsistent. All said, we thought it was beautiful for a night out with friends and will definitely return. Thanks!
The space is lovely. Subdued and chic. High ceilings, room between tables: conducive to conversation. A respite from high-volume noisy places. Happy hour has a good selection, and is a good place to start. But the real star is the food: exquisitely prepared, not ho-hum fare. My Sambuca shrimp was a treat for the palate in its bacon creme sauce and caramelized onions. The scallops for my main course were tender and terrific. My husband's carpaccio was real tenderloin, and the Cheshire pork chop was thick and succulent.
Service is impeccable. And the complimentary valet indoor parking is an added bonus. Definitely worth a visit.
The food was excellent! Every bite was delicious! I will definitely go back, and I will recommend Element to my friends.
Very modern look and menu. Very good wine selection.
Everything was fabulous top to bottom. Nice find and an even better secret
Loved it! Upscale, great food, excellent service. Will definitely be back. Nice to have this restaurant in downtown Sarasota.
Our server, Emily, very knowledgeable on both the menu and wines. The food was excellent. We split both a small plate and entree.
Every visit is memorable. Food (I've tried four different entrees)is outstanding, ambiance so pleasing, service just absolutely perfect (Kelsie is a wonder-remembers personal details from previous visits so am very comfortable that I will receive exactly what and how I want without any concern on my part). Element is a significant addition to our downtown eating establishments. My wife and I look forward to our next visit later this month and I have no problems strongly recommending Element to our friends when the decision of "where to eat?) is up for discussion.
While outstanding for any night out it is special for those special life occasions. Our waiter Todd was attentive but not intrusive. The balance was perfect.
The entire experience was perfect. The service & recommendations, the food and the wine were all superb.
Two of our four meals were over cooked which was remedied with a another version and all four meals were complementary.
Family vacation and we promised our daughter a good steak dinner. The Element was perfect. Todd took very good care of us and helped explain all dishes to ensure each of us had exactly what we wanted. My wife’s mole sauce was “fantastic” and is very hard to find prepared correctly. Our steaks were delicious. We enjoyed the food and the experience very much. Thank you!
I’m not sure if they were understaffed the Saturday after Thanksgiving but out of Hendrick’s, our wine selection and fries. We’ll return but not up to previous standards.
We loved the food we selected, all 4 of us. The ambience of the interior of the restaurant is beautiful. Our waiter was extremely attentive as well as the rest of the staff. Highly recommend this restaurant
My first three or four visits to this restaurant were very fine experiences .good veal chops and steaks. The ambience and hospitality is excellent. It’s very pretty there. Veal chops have since been discontinued.
My last two visits have been a disappointment. Two weeks ago , two of the three people ordered steaks which were very tough. We had them boxed up and offered them to the waitress to take home because she had mentioned in conversation that she owned a pitbull.
A few nights ago to of the three women ordered a signature salad from the menu but they had run out of it. Then they each ordered a chopped salad which was served with no dressing and was very bland .Each of them then ordered a rissoto dish.neither person ate their meal. Too dry. Our waiter, who we liked a lot and had served us a couple of times before ,was too afraid, as he cleared the table, to ask “was everything lovely.”
The establishment is a must miss!
I’m sorry to say.
Food is not as great as priced on the menu- Really disappoints me when the quality is not there.
My husband and I dined here for our anniversary and it was a 5 star dining experience. The only reason I didn’t give the food 5 stars is for the soup which was a bit bland. Everything else was fab tho and our waiter made the night an experience with his service and complimentary champagne. Will be back on next special occasion.
Wonderful experience will definitely be back again as we loved our steak (36 oz Rib Eye), wines, desert and even tried the Bone Marrow, wow really spot on. I cannot say enough about the friendly waiter Michael and the overall ambiance very romantic. A must try!
Kelsey, our server was warm, personable and very good at her job. We were ‘comped’ several great tasting interludes from the kitchen and loved our meal- snapper highly recommended.
Valet parking is available on the hotel side which is good to know during high season.
Looking forward to a return visit. High five!!!!
Enjoyed our evening very much! The food was very nice, mainstream but with a twist, and presented very well. The entire staff was attentive and made the evening even more pleasant.
Element just plain is not very good. It is not bad - but not worth of repeat visits (which we have actually done in hopes that it would meet the standards of most upscale Sarasota restaurants). Probably needs a new chef de cuisine to create an interesting, high quality ingredients, menu. Ambiance is nice (seems like there has been some effort to manage sound) but there are too many excellent restaurants competing for diners for more trips to Element
My wife & I went there for my 65th birthday. I emailed the restaurant that my wife would like a plain, broiled fish of some sort like wild Atlantic salmon due to her "clean" eating. Within hours I received an email back from J.C. Shurts, VP of operations for the American Dreams Restaurant Group. He said that if that's what my wife wanted, that's what she would get, even though salmon was not on the menu.
Being a former fine-dining restauranteur, I not only appreciated this response, but the speed in which my email was answered. Mr. Shurts even stopped by the table the evening of our dinner to introduce himself. Class act!
Our server was Kelsey who was pleasant, considerate and on the ball! She was unobtrusive, but attentive. The food was excellent and the presentation was first-rate. We will certainly be back and we highly recommend this restaurant!!!
Mark & Kim Papa
Food was amazing. Service was exemplary. Great complementary birthday dessert. Management came to the table with birthday wishes and to thank us for choosing the restaurant.
After the waiter tried to up-sell us on everything and after waiting nearly half an hour for our salad to arrive . . . we left.
We were very disappointed with our food for the price point. First off it took 25 minutes to get our cocktails. We ordered casprese salad to start because we were starving, and the tomatoes weren’t ripe. I had the baked risotto casserole which I personally did not care for, but I could see how someone else might like it. My boyfriend had the pork shank osso bucco and he gave it a 7 out of 10. We also had the heirloom potatoes and the seared asparagus side dishes that were decent but nothing special. Our server was Todd and he was helpful with the menu. Todd did give us complementary cocktail and appetizer cards to use during happy hour when he heard we were not happy with the food. We may or may not use them…… There are so many great restaurants in Sarasota it is disappointing to spend a night at one that is so subpar.
This was a unique and spectacular meal. Menu was great. Service was excellent. Our server was knowledgeable and made some great recommendations.
Beautiful restaurant, lovely bar. Food was expertly prepared and presented. A little pricey, but worth it. Service was attentive but just a little too wordy. Excellent wine list. Would definitely go again.
Kelsey made this a truly awesome dinner. She was not only very pleasant and attentive- he knowledge of the food, prep and wine was spectacular. Thank you Kelsey!
Was a fabulous evening! The food service and atmosphere were amazing!
Thank you Austin, Emily, Brian and Ryan for taking excellent care of us! Outstanding food in a very pretty dining room. We look forward to our return.
Service was very good. No Bloody Mary’s. Pisco Sour was delicious. Pork chop great.
Element is hitting stride! Went twice in their first six months with poor results. Not the case now. The hostess, the manager and waitress where clearly an A team crew. The small plates, sides and entrees all scored very high my steak a bit under temp but overall the four of us really enjoyed the evening and now we can finally say that we really look forward to going back
The bar and the appetizers are nice. Main entrees are disappointing.
Went for Eat Like A Local week. Was surprised at the cost of the three course meal. Most events like this in other cities try to keep the price point low and offer wine parings a at discount as well. Not the case with Element. We decided to order off the regular menu as it was cheaper than the three course meal. It's a beautiful space and service was very good. Food was exceptional.
I have been here twice and both times have been seated in a side room not the main restaurant room - little atmosphere
Service slow - bread arrived after 45 minutes, water and wine not topped up
Ate off the eat like a local menu this time - not as good as a la carte food
Despite being told 2 guests were gluten free served an entree with gluten base...oh dear
I will not be back
This was dissapointing.........food OK, but was that really a ceasar salad? maybe we ordered the wrong thing but since we will not be returning ...no worries
Good experience, could improved service. Food was good. Drinks not recomended, get bottled beer.
