A Modern Mediterranean Grill encapsulating the best and most unique elements of world class dining.
Hand-cut steaks grilled or seared to perfection. Delicate salads of seasonal ingredients. House made pasta dishes with elegant hand crafted sauces. Daily selections of cheese and charcuterie… just a few things to look forward to in the dining room of element, Sarasota’s hottest restaurant!
Waiter nice but food just okay and lukewarm- not hot.................................................................
Sunday Brunch at Element was excellent with great service, quiet inside ambience and wonderful food. The cost was less than expected so that the cost/benefit ratio favors guests.
Awesome as Always!
We have dined here several times and find the food and service very consistent. Both fish and meat dishes are very good and chef serves a small amuse bouche to get you started. Great downtown location before opera or show or just meeting friends.
A local favorite. Best filet I've had in Sarasota. So flavorful and perfectly cooked. The shredded Brussel sprouts were outstanding. Service is top-notch from bar, to host to table service. Always a wonderful experience.
I have now been here 3 or 4 times with the continued hope that their consistency of food and service times improve. They haven’t so far. And I don’t write reviews often but feel the need at this point.
The steaks while of very good quality (and most that got seemed pleased) I feel lack any flavor and seasoning (and you have to request salt...eye roll). I tried the seasonal menu last night and the beet course also lacked flavor, and the curried crab cakes were very dry and overcooked. Like inedible.
The key lime pie however was superb.
The wait staff is always excellent and very friendly but way way way too slow. Unless you’re a European that enjoys 3 hours meals (and I don’t exaggerate) quite honestly it’s just too slow for my liking. Not the waitstaff fault but clearly it’s either by intention or the kitchen is snail slow either way I’ll check back in another year and see if it improves ;)
A beautiful restaurant with excellent ambience and food. Complimentary valet parking is always a plus in cities!
I think they have an interesting well balanced menu that is expertly prepared. Lovely ambiance and was quiet enough for good conversation the evening we were there. I had noted a gluten free diner in my reservation and was disappointed that the wait staff was not more informeed about the components of the the menu when questioned and an amuse bouche was served that contained inappropriate ingrediants.
Everything was outstanding. Definitely will go back.
One of the best dining experiences I can recall. The service was terrific, the Arnold Palmer’s were the best I’ve found anywhere, and the fish and steak were top quality and perfectly done. I loved the setting and the noise level. And the manager stopped by twice to check the things were in order. A great experience.
Sat too Close To
Kitchen and in and out by staff distracting and loud
Great meal. Wait staff made sure we were finished in time for a nearby concert. The sides were easily enough for two people.
We went on Valentine’s Day, which you expect service to not be top notch anywhere. However, there was no bus staff to clean tables, they continued to RUN OUT OF FOOD, and we waited over 20 minutes for a glass of water when we arrived. After my husband said something, they found a waiter for us, who was GREAT! I think their issue is management and short staffing.
My wife and I were here for Valentine's Day and had an amazing dinner. Each course was perfectly prepared, and the service was impeccable. Our server was Justin (pretty sure that was his name) and he was great. The restaurant was busy with the Valentine crowd, but he was very attentive and had a good sense of humor.
They had a special menu for Valentine's Day with four courses. At first I was a little bummed because the regular menu has so many things that look so good. But the selections for each course were exquisite and, as I said, perfectly prepared.
Based on the quality of the service and food on what was probably an unusually busy evening, I highly recommend Element. It's a bit of a splurge, but my wife and I intend to go back and try their regular menu.
Maybe Valentine's Day was not the best day for this restaurant. Hard to get bread plates and water. Server brought desert first for 4 course meal. Many mistakes made in courses served. Food was very mediocre and not well served for an $85 price fixed menu.
Compliments to the pastry chef. Both deserts were the only course that met expectations.
Probably should have given them 5 stars all around considering it was Valentine’s Day. A bunch of deuces that expect ridiculous service on their 1 nite out every 6 months. Our server, Eduardo, was on point. Dinner was well executed. Sommelier did an excellent job with the wine pairings.
It was another amazing night at Element! It’s the BEST!
Everything is top notch!
If you want a special night, spend it at Element.
Enjoyed the meal and service, especially as steak done as requested.
This was our first time at Element, but we will be back. Very nice, intimate atmosphere. Decor is modern, but not harsh. Food and service were excellent. Try the spinach salad with bacon vinaigrette. Excellent locale for a pre opera dinner.
The maitre d’ asked how we rated the dinners. We said “good“; and he replied “Not great? It wasn’t great?”, unabashedly challenging our impressions and fishing for compliments. His behavior comports with the general air of pretense that permeates the place. The food did not reach the level of expectation created by the waiters or the ambiance. In brief, It’s a good restaurant, very nice indeed, but not great.
The food was beautifully presented and tasted absolutely delicious! The service was exemplary. It is one of my favorite restaurants!
Will return soon again.
Two steak orders were not cooked properly One was recooked and practically burnt. Friend had to wait a long time to get a meal
We had a business lunch meeting and found The Executive Lunch menu choices perfect. Everyone chose the salmon entrée. It was done perfectly with a nice seasoning and served with a side salad. The fresh, warm bread was delicious. Our reservation was for 1 PM and we were seated inside in a booth so we could have a quiet conversation. The service was attentive but not overbearing or interrupting which was perfect for our discussion. I would highly recommend Element for a business lunch.
Hostess took a very long time to acknowledge and seat us. Wait service was much better.
Everyone raves about this place but maybe we caught it on a bad night. Three out of four meals were not good. One had to be sent back. So disappointed. Only thing that was great was the craft cocktails.
The waiter did a very good job. Food was very good. Dinning experience was fantastic. The problem I had we got there at 5:10. We told the server we had to be at Van Wezel at 7. He stated it would be no problem. We did not get our food served to us till 6:30. There was a party of 4 dinning and we have to gulp are food down. I do not fault the waiter I fault the kitchen. The waiter apologized and felt very bad.
Food is mediocre and service is pretentious. Also way overpriced.
Food and service very good!
Our waiter was awesome. He wasn’t full of hot air, he was sincere
The food was outstanding!
Three dinners were ordered. One steak cooked overdone, one was ordered medium rare and sent back to kitchen as it was completely raw in the middle. Once it came back still was completely raw in the center. Lamb chops for another person cooked perfectly.
Server was excellent and very apologetic. Manager came by to apologize too.
Excellent food and service. I recently came here on a date with my partner. We had the spinach salad to share as an appetizer. He had the 12oz NY strip and I had the 6oz filet. They upgraded me to a 10oz filet for no extra charge. They also gave us dessert on the house for his birthday. It was a delicious sweet lemon tart. The only downside is the steaks are a la carte, but we ordered a side of shaved Brussel sprouts, which were also amazing. The service was phenomenal. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants a great night out in Sarasota.
Fantastic. Wonderful food and service. Quiet and soothing ambiance. Not inexpensive but very worth it.
This was our second time here. Excellent food, wonderful service! We will definitely be back!
Excellent dining experience from start to finish. The best onion soup I have ever had and the carpaccio was also first rate. Snapper and NY strip were perfect. Brussel sprouts quite tasty, the wild rice pilaf was the only disappointing item in an otherwise great meal. Perfect service, lovely venue.
Felt it was overpriced for the quality of food. We both had the 6oz. fillet, Brussel sprouts, and garlic smashed potatoes. Quality is better at Capital Grille, Ruth’s Chris or Fleming’s for the price point.
Service was outstanding however. Wine list was good as well. Overall, we would not return due to these factors.
The Element always exceeds my expectations.
I brought my family who were visiting from NY
Everything was outstanding
Excellent meal and our server was outstanding. He wrote us a personal note and wished us the best on our occasion—-strongly encourage this restaurant while in Sarasota
From beginning to end, we had an excellent meal with top notch service.
