Our food is of traditional Scottish heart with plenty of modern twists.

We had Sunday roast which was perfect for what we were looking for . Would definitely go back again next time we are in Edinburgh.

Atmosphere is comfortable - not "too" modern but up-to-date and fun. Like the slight separation between bar and dining room. Food was excellent with a varied menu.

It was packed. Festival weekend. But I sat at the bar and had a wonderful steak frit. The ladies behind the bar were friendly and totally professional. They worked as a team to make sure everyone was happy. I left after many satisfying gin and tonics.

Lovely food but not overly family friendly… restaurant only had one high chair suggesting they don’t get small children in regularly and we had to wait on it… small restaurant not ideal for prams … food was really nice though
