Electric Owl is a Steakhouse and cocktail bar hybrid. Known for its amazingly tasty cocktails and famously delicious steaks and cheeseburgers. Situated on a triangular plot of land that used to be an old train station, the 1920's decor pays homage to its Old Hollywood and Pacific Electric Car roots ('Electric Owl' was actually a nickname given to the nighttime train conductors from the early 1900's). It’s a shame they’ve removed so many of the crowd pleaser menu items that built its reputation. Prices have increased while the food quality has dropped. This was a neighborhood gem but I’d just go for the drinks and great staff instead.

I felt terrible for the staff working there, this experience was not what we were expecting. The menu that is on the website is not what is actually offered once you get there. We got there at 7:00 on a Saturday Night and the place was dead. We felt bamboozled by their social media posts and their website. We ordered drinks and two appetizers, the artichokes were undercooked and the other dish was bland. I will say the drinks were great. We ended up leaving and going elsewhere for dinner, but we felt horrible for the staff as we left because it seems this is a common occurrence.

The food I had was great (tomato Carpaccio). They only had a limited menu, of only some appetizers and two entrees which were the burger and wings on the menu (both of which I dint eat). I asked the server when the regular menu would be available and at first said, "next week." then when I asked again he said he didn't know. Sadly, sounds like stuff is going on. Great spot though.

Everything was great until we got the bill, split three ways as we asked. But what we didn't ask for was a very strange way to split the bill. We asked for one bill to be $48 & the rest of the bill to split between the other two cards. What we got was one bill for $48, one bill for $80 & one for $32, which made no sense. I ended up having to Venmo my friend who got the $80 charge.

Use to be so fun during happy hour but it’s been cut down to one hour 4-5pm & then late night happy hour which is fine but just not the same. Food isn’t that great anymore either. Oh well. Sign of the times.

Fantastic food, atmosphere, and location. We had a reservation for 6pm on a Sunday night and were promptly seated and quickly served. One of my new favorite WeHo adjacent spots for eats and conversation with friends.

My husband and I visited The Electric Owl Thursday evening at our daughter’s recommendation and am I glad we did! The service was great and the burgers and fries were fantastic!!! I am from out of town and will definitely dine there again on my return visits to WEHO!!

This is my favorite Friday Night spot. Me and my best friend call it “The Spot” love the food, the staff and everyone that comes there. Such a great place. If you haven’t been your missing out. Get to Electric ⚡️ Owl 🦉 ASAP.

Cute restaurant. I sat outside in their sidewalk section because I had my cat Buddy with me. They are very pet friendly. I had the meatloaf which I loved. Great service.

I spent my birthday here, it's my go-to. I got the Wagyu Smashburger, cheddar biscuits and the apple crumble, which were delicious. The staff were great and gave me a dessert on the house. Love this place!

Enjoyed the company I was with unfortunately, our server was a bit inundated with too many tables so service was not great The people in the restaurant were gracious accommodating and it’s an enjoyable evening, and the convenience of it being right down the block from me makes it spectacular. I love it in the summer as well.

It was super loud in the back restaurant portion. Made it tough to hear even at our own table: The Wagu Meatloaf with a ketchup glaze / sauce was just an odd pairing. The dish didn’t sit well with my stomach and I would pass on that. Pizza was delicious though, and the biscuits were amazing. Wish I had ordered a burger. Question - All the food comes at once, so, why is the first section of your menu called Appetizers? They aren’t served first. That was frustrating. Was an ok experience, service was great. Not sure I’d go back though.

The food was absolutely delicious! I got the stuff and smash burger, the cheddar biscuts, french onion soup and chocolate pudding, as well as a margarita - all fantastic. And the service was personable and attentive. I can wait to go back, and I'm not usually that excited about a restaurant.

The food was fantastic! The place looks amazing and the waitstaff offered on their own to move us to a quieter side so my wife and i could enjoy our meal and anniversary together!!! Highly recommend!!!

It surprised me that a mocktail cost the same as the beverage with alcohol. Also towards the end our server was not present at all but another server helped us. We appreciated the complimentary birthday treat, and the outdoor seating.
