   We were a family of four visiting for dinner to celebrate a birthday. We arrived on time for our reservation, but the table was not ready. After waiting about 10 minutes we were finally seated. However the table had just been wiped down as we approached and while we sat down the staff were still setting it. During the menu presentation and ordering process the waiter didn’t highlight any popular drinks or provide any recommendations for food. He simply took our food and drinks order and left. Throughout the dinner table service felt minimal — we had to repeatedly ask for our plates to be replaced, especially since we ordered a lot of food and didn’t want to sit with used dishes. One of the main dishes was lamb chops which turned out to be served with French fries — something we only found out when the dish arrived. When the server had asked for a side dish, we ordered fries and spinach to go with the lamb. It would have been helpful to know in advance that fries were already included, so we could have chosen a different side. The service overall was not more than 3 out of 5. That said, the food was absolutely delicious — the sea bass & lamb chops in particular were outstanding. The atmosphere in the restaurant is also lovely and the staff is nice. Just be sure to let them know if it’s your first time and ask for recommendations — they won’t offer them proactively based on my experience. I would definitely return here again.

   My daughter and I ate here on Mothers Day. The ambience was amazing, the food was very delicious, service was really good, very quaint. It is a must visit!

   Usually consistent great food and service. Perhaps brunch is a step down but the food was bland and the server forgot us a few times.

   If you’re looking for a wonderful UWS restaurant to celebrate a special occasion, this is it! Lovely server, warm ambience and delicious Greek food. The sangria, red & white, was sweet and fruity. Then a basket of yummy rolls with olive oil arrives. We ordered three spreads with toasted pita for our shared appetizer which was yummy. Two ordered the sea bass which was perfectly cooked with a side of Brussels sprouts and two ordered moussaka which was such a generous portion that we had leftovers for the next day. We were too full for dessert however because we were celebrating a graduation the server surprised us with a shooting candle and four complimentary after dinner drinks! Overall a memorable and fabulous dining experience!!

   Elea is owned by the same team that owns Kyma in Flatiron & Hudson Yards and all of their restaurants are fantastic. Elea is more family oriented but the food is just as spectacular especially the lamb chops and striped bass.

   Great place with excellent food. Inventive drinks, good service, wonderful food. It was a bit noisier than I like. So only 4 stars for ambience.

   The food, the food, the food! This vibrant and visually appealing establishment gets everything very right! Our party of 6 arrived and we were promptly escorted to our table. Our server checked in almost immediately to check in with our water service options and take drink orders. We tried a variety of appetizers including the tuna tartare, Elea Chips, grilled shrimp, and grilled octopus. All were outstanding. Service from the wait staff was smooth and we were not rushed to the next course. The diners in our group tried the Lavraki, the Tsipoura, the seafood orzo, the short rib, lamb chops, and Seafood Orzotto. Everyone was very pleased with the chef’s preparations. There’s something special about a chef that takes traditional dishes and makes them even more enjoyable with trying to be too fancy. Delicious is undefeated and that’s certainly the case here. The restaurant was very busy, but all orders were delivered in a very timely fashion in unison. We didn’t try dessert, but we had to save something for the next visit. We’re definitely going back!

   Always love coming here. The service is excellent and the food just so darn consistent I can't find fault with anything. The chef obviously knows his business and continues to deliver, especially the mussels and the Zucchini chips (EXCELLENT!). We had a seating problem but Yannis (John) stepped up and seated us at a good table. We'll be back for another delightful and delicious dinner. Question: Why do you not serve Zucchini chips at lunch?
