The food and general experience really good. But, though I had reserved a table, I wasnt shown to it until the other person in my party arrived. That seems to be their policy--that's something I resent when I have a reserved table. Standing around in the crowded entrance was not a great way to start the evening.
Server Masha is perfection. Anticipatory, professional and doesn’t miss a thing. Upstairs is too noisy downstairs is great.
Everything we had was delicious, beginning with the large glasses of proseco. A friend and i shared a romaine salad, the zucchini and eggplant chips and the cod..all were well prepared ,fresh, and tasty.
The service and ambiance at Elea are so nice and friendly.
Restaurant is a welcome addition to the west side neighborhood-excellent and many choices.
We will return.
Waiter was very absent minded and forgot to put half our dishes in the system.
The service was slow and little confused. Good food. Prices a little expensive...
No options for kids.
Noise and little dark.
Lovely setting, service extremely good, salads very fresh and well presented...appetizers especially good. Highly recommend for everyday dining
I love Elea and eat here all the time. The main reason is the customer service. They have a great staff from top to bottom and consistanly serve up a terrific dining experience every time.
We love this beautiful restaurant on The Upper Westside! Not only is the food delicious every time, but that staff is so friendly and helpful! One of the best on The UWS!
Great food and great service! Hannah was helpful and attentive.
Visited Elea for an anniversary and am glad I did. The service was spectacular—welcoming from the moment we walked in to when we exited. The food and wine was delicious and presented well. Nice bright space. Very pleased.
Beautiful new restaurant.
The food is good like in Greece.
What a delight it was to eat at Elea. The food was delicious. The room was handsome. Most of all the staff made us feel so welcome. To a person, from the time we arrived until several hours later, as we lingered over our meal, everyone was gracious, helpful, welcoming and warm. The menu is classic Greek as interpreted in New York. Everything we ate (and drank) was really tasty. I look forward to returning.
This is one of my favorite restaurants on the UWS. The food is so fresh, the service is terrific, and the vibe is great.
The salmon was over cook and for those prices is a no go ;(
Avoid the basement or just avoid the whole place. Downstairs was agonizingly noisy; the open table adjective “energetic” doesn’t begin to describe the cacaphony. The food in no way justifies the level of discomfort.
Really delicious and fantastic ambiance
Overall excellent. Initially service was slightly inattentive, then excellent.
Excellent food!! Truly Greek dishes, some that are traditional to Greece, but not seen in usual Greek restaurants.
Date night with the wife. We loved the sister restaurant Kima and we loved Elea. Delicious straightforward Greek food and a great wine and cocktail list.
The food was great but they make you place your order for your entire meal and then it wasn’t spaced out nicely. Felt very rushed for the amount of money you’re paying to eat there. Cocktails were also very pricey!
Service and food excellent; staff very attentive. Lower level main dining area could be brighter
The food, staff and ambiance were excellent. Great value.
Have eaten at Elea several times but this was the first prix-fixe lunch. It was excellent. Fresh romaine salad was flawless. I had the Cobb salad as a main and it was equally good. Highly recommend.
Exceptional service and good quality dishes.
Elea was amazing as always. Great food. Great service. Our favorite neighborhood spot.
I love that this place has come to the UWS. We desperately needed it. It is my new go to restaurant for a night out.
Been there twice. Love it will be back. They are very accommodating to make you happy and I tried different things each time. And just love love it there
Food and service exceptional
The Tsipoura broiled fish was perfectly prepared
Would also recommend the Pikilia spreads
Our dinner partner, eating at Elea for the first time pronounced the meal one the best he’d ever had
The food was very good, the service was outstanding. Our waitress was very knowledgeable and very passionate when explaining the food items on the menu. It was refreshing to see someone so enthusiastic about what she was offering.
Elea is a welcome addition to the UWS restaurant scene. Reliable, tasty and with nice ambience, Elea is good for groups, families (there is a downstairs for larger parties), and romantic dates (upstairs). There is also a lovely bar for a quick drink. Highly recommended for both lunch and dinner.
Lovely place, excellent food and good service. We will come back.
Creative dishes, authentically Greek, well-conceived and equally well-executed. The cauliflower appetizer was spectacular, the whole roasted fish flapping fresh and perfectly prepared. Service was attentive and the ambiance lovely - like being on Santorini. The manager came by to inquire about our experience with obvious interest and sincerity, that's kund of attention is what ensures quality. Even the sommelier, though young, was knowledgeable beyond her years, and gave a highly accurate description of the bottle we decided on. Among the best values for Greek in NYC
A very positive experience on an early Saturday evening, starting with our charming server, George. Highlights included the grilled octopus, mushroom pastitsio, grilled lavraki (a whole fish deboned, butterflied, and dressed with olive oil, lemon, and a few capers), and milopita, an apple tart with a custard filling, Coupled with a novel bottle of Assyrtiko from Santorini, the dinner was very satisfying.
We love this special restaurant. Tucked on a side street on the UWS we consider it to be one if the finest restaurant in the area. If not just the ambiance, attentive service and always on site active owners, then the sheer quality of the food is beyond compare.
The black sea bass was prepared the other night in the best possible way, so much so that my wife commented as we left, now that's the way a fish should be prepared!
Very good food and ambiance. The server was very sweet but seemed to forget that we had time constraints. The timing of the food was bad and we we had to ask another server to find her to get our check. However this would certainly not stop us from returning.
Elea is a great addition to the neighborhood. Beautiful design, excellent staff, delicious Greek food, wonderful to have nearby.
Great food, noisy, great service. Very friendly and hospitable
Everything was great. Friendly accommodating staff and servers. Great hit with everyone I bring!
Very attentive staff, relaxed atmosphere and great food
