First time here won't be the last! Great addition to the neighborhood.
Food and service great, as usual; excellent wine recommendation. Only negative, Elea ran out of the main course I was going to order....
Service was a bit slow. The tables are so close together I could hear every word of the overbearing guy at the next table trying to impress his date. At these prices, there should be more privacy. Also, they do not check vaccination status at the door, which made me very uncomfortable.
The food is beyond especially the short ribs!
Always a delicious meal with excellent service at Elea.
My husband and I have tried Elea twice, and really wanted to like it but the food is just not good. We Weill not be going back. Staff is terrific, atmosphere inside is nice, but the food was very disappointing.
The food arrived super fast, was fresh and absolutely delicious! Please try the variety of delicious dips
Great food, comfortable setting, attentive staff
Excellent food ambiance and service!
Delicious Greek food. very kind service. Pleasant decor.
Amazing food and service!
Great greek restaurant on the UWS! Would definitely go back.
Wonderful food and atmosphere, will go there again!
If a restaurant has a good kitchen it doesn't matter what you order. If not you will be disappointed no matter what you order.
Eléa has a good kitchen.
Very nice front desk. Service was ok but not special and certainly in a hurry to keep the flow moving. Probably too large to manage with current staff and space. A NYC problem - but why only 2 toilets in 2 restrooms (total) for the whole operation? Also, restrooms are off the kitchen creating a problem for waiters passing through the lines of customers waiting. Get the diners in and get them out is the message sent on Saturday night. It is not a Greek diner so this is not ok. That said, I saw families with amazing birthday desserts who looked content.
Much better than most other places in the neighborhood, and surprisingly reasonable in pricing.
Elea is for this long time UWS diner, the best find in our neighborhood in a long time. It has everything going for it not the least of which is the proximity to my apartment.
The ceilings are high, the space roomy, the waiters professional and not overbearing or pushy or cute or recommending the highest priced items on the menu. And the bartender original in his concoctions and the space inviting for dining at the bar.
Incredible as always! Definitely the best Greek/Mediterranean restaurant in NYC
One of the best restaurants we have had the pleasure of dining in on the Upper West Side. Food, service and atmosphere were excellent!
Delicious food! Great service. Always a wonderful experience!
Elea is a wonderful restaurant with delicious food, great bartending, and a warm ambience. What takes Elea to the next level, though, is the staff. The hosts, waitstaff, bartenders and management team are gracious, present, and truly understand what "hospitality" means. And, yes, I said management team. Unlike most "neighborhood" restaurants, Elea has multiple managers on each shift who ensure that everything is running smoothly. They pitch in when needed, but generally just guide their team while they check on guests. I've lived on the Upper Westside my whole life, and we've never had a place this good. We love it.
Dined downstairs for the first time. It was crowded and airless and we felt unsafe and uncomfortable even given the vaccine mandate. Elea is great, but seems shortstaffed and overstretched running both indoor dining rooms at full capacity or more plus the two outdoor dining areas. While we understand the pressures restaurants and staff are under at this time, our order was incomplete, the food was not quite what it usually is, and, most importantly, being packed six inched from the next table in a poorly ventilated table is just not something we're willing to do now, although the vaccine mandate lowers the risk we are just not ready for that.
EVERYTHING was fantastic. I can’t wait to go back!
Service took a while to get going
Always a great time and food at Elea.
Eléa began with an amazing ambiance on a Saturday night in New York City. The seating areas are dimly lit, accompanied by candle light, but warmed and brightened by the energy of the full tables. Great for group gatherings, date nights, or intimate get-togethers. For someone who usually doesn’t go for a martini, the Kymatini was one of the best cocktails I have had (if you like a little cucumber). The Mykonos Mule was also fabulous. They were sadly out of the Santorini Spritz when we went. We started with the selection of three dips (some of the best tzatiki and spicy red pepper hummus I have ever had) and warm pita, but the taramasalata dip was what was absolutely unreal. It is a must try. The service was attentive and the manager was always making rounds. We originally were served and incorrect dip and were brought the proper one right away. The octopus (cooked to perfection), tsipoura fish, and short rib meals were all some of the best my friends and I have had in this city. It was overall not as expensive as i thought it would be and would definitely recommend to any foodies looking to venture out!
This is an exceptional Greek restaurant. Familiar Greek dishes are better tasting than you've had before. Seafood is beautifully cooked, a difficult thing to do on a busy Saturday night. The baclava is the best I've tasted, not oversweet and intensely flavorful.
It's larger than it looks. The main dining room is very loud and makes it hard to hear. The downstairs dining is much quieter. Outside is fine if it's not raining. Service is very good. There is a reason it is always busy.
For a non-meat eating party we found many options on the menu. Fish was very fresh service was great and the prices very good. Did not expect this quality in the upper west side. Very excited, this is our new spot.
This is a fantastic Greek restaurant with delicious food, attentive service and a great vibe, We ate outdoors and had a lovely meal. Thank you Elea!
The food here was amazing and so was the service. We sat outside and the seating was great and we were well taken care of.
Beautiful innovative Greek cuisine! Service was very attentive to two of our guests’ dietary concerns !!
Second time for us and you did NOT disappoint. It was great! We’ll be back!
I have been coming to Elea for years and am always amazed at the quality of the food, and the care that the management provides with for the customers, even on very busy nights. One of my favorite restaurants on the UWS!
The food and service was excellent. Our waiter was so attentive and we were not rushed at all! The octopus was the best I have ever had.
Absolutely wonderful ambiance, food, service and entire evening!
Indoors eating very satisfactory.
Food was great. The outdoor space was really nice, and the staff were super nice. I was just there this week, and already planning to return next week.
Most of the food was pretty good, but it certainly didn’t wow. Skip the octopus
Very expensive food for basic dishes and poor service
