   Love the concept of reservations and specified menu... should really reduce food waste and lets the chef really get the food right. Hate to say negative things, because so much was great. But, if you don't know what you are doing wrong, how can you improve? 1) Not a fan of residual chlorine taste in drinking water... suggest a reverse osmosis/activated charcoal filter for table drinking water. If ecologically concerned about the "waste" water produced by same, it could be pumped to the Elderslie goats... I'm sure they wouldn't mind slightly more minerals (50%) in their drinking water (and less chlorine). 2) Main course (pork loin) tasted great but was a little cool (say, 110 degrees). Would have preferred it to be about 20 degrees warmer when served.

   Elderslie Farm is a dining experience different than practically any other. We are a foodie family that is no stranger to enjoying fine dining. The food was excellent, although bold and eclectic. With a five-course prix fixe menu, the offerings may not be to everyone's liking. On the evening we attended, the foods presented were not typical midwestern offerings. We appreciate the chef's vision, skill, and talent. The presentation was exceptional. The flavors were provoking and nicely balanced. The service staff was attentive, prompt, nice, and well-informed. We will dine there again.

   Such a beautiful evening at Elderslie Farm! We loved on baby goats on our way to our dinner at the farmhouse. ❤️ We were then greeted by a friendly hostess and sat in the cozy dining room that overlooked the farm. Absolutely wonderful service from start to finish! Zac, Amy & Aunna were incredibly helpful, knew all the features of each dish and delivered exceptional customer service! Each course was fabulous and we can’t wait to return. The attention to detail to our food allergies were much appreciated!!! (gluten free & pescatarian) Thank you Elderslie! 💕

    My husband suggested a date night here, and I was thrilled because I had heard such wonderful things. We arrived early so we could see the property, and I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the goats and walking around a very pretty setting. We were treated very warmly by the staff, and were seated in a lovely room while being told the history of the home. Unfortunately, the food was not up to par. While I found it to be decent, it wasn't the amazing experience I was told about by professional reviewers. For my husband, it was an awful experience. I have eaten at many small plate establishments, so while I expected small portions, these were genuinely tiny. Unfortunately, they also weren't cooked well. The purpose of small bites is to have high quality ingredients cooked superbly. This particular menu was not cooked well or with great flavor. While many of the items were presented beautifully, there was no flavor, and the presentation often made them overly difficult to eat. The charcuterie board showed off their amazing cheeses, though we were presented with a vary hard cheese that had not been crumbled or shaved, which I found odd. The set menu was heavy on things that are generally divisive, like olives, radishes, and beets, which are things I quite like, but my husband loathes. So immediately, he was not enthusiastic. This could be blamed on him not looking closer at the available menu online, but honestly the menu lacks detail, it doesn't even properly describe the food we were served. The biggest disappointment for my husband was the pork belly. I had a bite of it, and I concur with his assessment that it was bad. It was very small and thin, and it had zero flavor. It tasted like it had been overcooked in a skillet. At the end of the night, we paid $237 for a very disappointing meal for two. The one thing we both had no problem with is the mandatory gratuity. We believe in tipping well, and in a thriving wage, so that is something we thoroughly applaud the owners for.

    Elderslie farm is such a unique and special experience that we are lucky to have within the greater Wichita area. The ambience is wonderful. It’s a more quiet and intimate setting, but there were groups of 6 there as well. The food is fantastic and even though the portion sizes are “smaller” than what many American restaurants serve, you will leave completely satisfied and full! The uniqueness of the food pairings is true culinary genius. Make sure to check the menu ahead so you know what to expect because it is a fixed menu but you do get to choose between two main courses. It is on the expensive side, but it’s worth it!

    We love every visit to Elderslie. The food is always an unexpected, palatable adventure that is beyond any expectations one could have for a restaurant in/around Wichita. We look forward to trying the new menus every time they are released to see what amazing pairings the chef has come up with. We have never been remotely disappointed and recommend the restaurant to everyone we can. Thank you for what you do and creating this hidden gem for us to enjoy!

    What a wonderful experience! As we parked in the snow, Phillip Elderslie came to help assure safe footing to the restaurant. We chose a table in the Great Room with high ceilings and big windows overlooking the sunset. Zach brought us a bottle of 2017 Landmark Pinot Noir (Sonoma), then skillfully hosted a most unique meal prepared by master chef Katherine Elderslie, starting with the generous Charcuterie with 3 cheeses from the family's goat herd, meats, dates, olives and honey. Then a perfect beet and greens salad, followed by a complexly flavored hand cut tagliatelle pasta with lamb, mushroom and beluga lentil. We shared the two the entrees: scallops with spinach, mushroom and green curry (flavors exploding then blending) and a petit fillet with parsnips, greens and granola (yes). The finish: a unique 3 part dessert of ricotta, lavender and pistachio. We'll come to Elderslie Farm's home restaurant again and again.

    Lovely restaurant with an artisanal and high-end feel without being 'stuffy'. It is clear the food is thoughtfully prepared and the service was fantastic. The waiter explained the components of the dish and offered suggestions on wine pairings. It is a 'special occasion' place in my opinion given the pricing but if you're looking for a memorable experience it is well worth it. It highlights the beauty of local Kansas food and wine.

    This was our second trip to Elderslie. The night was Valentine's Day and we planned a month out to dine as we knew it would sell out for the occasion. We were seated promptly as requested. The dining area was quaint, but the chairs were heavy and difficult to pull out. At fine dining restaurants in NY and Chicago, the host or hostess would assist you. The backs were up against the guests next to us. We brought our wine and the $38 corking fee was double that of Ya Ya's. Service was fantastic. Our food courses were spot on, except for the Beef Wellington that even though is served rare, had grissel throughout. Time between plates were 15-20 minutes, which gave us time to talk, but our wine ran out by dessert. Love the experience. Continues to improve.

    The food was really excellent, we had a special tasting menu for Valentine’s Day, each course was well seasoned and thought out. The restaurant had a phenomenal ambiance and the ‘outside the city’ nature of the location elevates the experience. The evening lightly suffered from execution issues around service, we were helped by two associates, they often asked us the same questions, at one point lost track of place in the tasting order, and one didn’t seem very familiar with the menu.

    I think it was our fourth time there now and it was once again a great experience. The food was amazing, actually I thought it was the best I’ve had at Elderslie Farm. Beautiful place, a very fun night. I consider Elderslie Farm to be the best “Special Occassion” restaurant in the Wichita area by a wide margin.
