I stopped in just to try the place out, I’m all about trying new restaurants and really enjoy finding great food from a variety of backgrounds. I have to say, this just wasn’t it. The food was severely overpriced and I get it, it’s the location, but no. Mynt in Winter Park is in a prime location as well and the quality and taste of the food is superb!
I ordered the Chicken Biryani and Tandoori Chicken. The Biryani was underwhelming, No significant taste or uniqueness about it. In fact it was more like buttery rice. And it was something like $25. The Tandoori was 4 tiny pieces of chicken and I do mean tiny, also about $25. I was so confused I had to ask the waiter if I mistakenly order the appetizer. In all, those two dishes, a double espresso and an order of vegetable samosas cost around $75 with tip, no drinks. This same meal at Mynt cost half. So dissapointed.
Wonderful authentic Indian cuisine from all regions of India.
Excellent food and wonderful service from the gracious owner and staff. Our meal was adversely affected by the strong sun streaming in late afternoon as we were right next to the window. As soon as the sun went down our problems were over. Highly recommend.
Delicious appetizers and chicken curry entree. The chutney and naan bread were also excellent. Great service. One of my new favorite restaurants!
Owner goes above and beyond to welcome you … interesting menu.. food and service very good. Look forward to trying other items
It was nice
Delicious food and great service. This has become one of my favorites!
The food was excellent and the portions were generous. I highly recommend the lamb biryani and the the curry shrimp. It is a bit on the pricey side, but with the BOGO entree deal, it was a very good value.
The restaurant itself was very warm. We could not feel any air blowing, and two of the walls are completely windows, so the sun was shining in. Unfortunately the window shades were broken, but we were told the restaurant is working to fix the problem.
Would I go again? Yes!
Outstanding experience, wonderful service , very helpful understanding the menu. Food was exceptional, great tasting, leftovers even better the second day, lovely presentation. Will be a restaurant we frequent often
Wow! The food, the Indian wine, the service, everything was just amazing. The samosas to start were delicious and just the right level of heat. The Grandmas Curry Chicken was phenomenal. Nice place in College Park area, small family owned location with great service.
First time and the food and ambience was outstanding!!! Recommended!!!
A lovely small restaurant in College Park that should be much busier than it was. Delicious, flavorful food served pleasantly by their staff. We will go back.
Soup, drinks, and entree took too long to come out when there were only 4 other tables sat. All tables were sat at different times as well. Soup tasted like mushroom water rather than soup. Ordered a mango lassi and it wasn't done right. Has to send it back. There special was not as described. I thought I was getting a rib eye cut steak and it looks like a skirt steak.
Indian selections we ordered were delicious. Waitstaff were attentive and considerate. We were there on Valentine’s Day and they had wonderful treats for those of us that reserved a table. It was a wonderful experience.
The food is very innovative and flavorful however there are some growing pains or issues with the restaurant that aren’t you. The wait staff is very friendly and polite but is not proactive. They do not ask in advance if you want water or other account even though the food is often very spicy. In addition, there did not seem to be good control over the amount of space and he used in some of the dishes. Some of the flavor combinations are unusual, but now that I am aware of them I can choose menu items better in the future.
The food screams Indian but all the dishes seemed off compared to what I expected. I think it may be British-Indian? Notably the cooked carrots was a slew of cooked veggies in a dark brown sauce.
