   We had been to El Tres a few times before & the food was always good. We went on Saturday & ordered tacos. My husband had the sampler (4 tacos) & I had 3 fish tacos. We both agreed that the food wasn’t great. It was hard ,..and cold. Also the shredded beets in the fish tacos was tasteless & extremely messy. A nice slaw or shredded lettuce would have been better. Our server on the other hand, was great! Because of the quality of our meals, we will not rush back.

   The ambience was excellent from the moment we entered. Our server was very friendly, personable, a good sense of humour, very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu, food sensitivities, allergies and gluten free options. We most certainly will return.

   We definitely enjoyed our dining experience at El Tres, but the lighting was very poor. We could not see our meals or what we were eating. Being able to see your food and the ingredients is very much a part of the dining experience.

    Best margaritas I have had in some time. Service was excellent and food very good - group had appetizers and not entrees. Wait staff (Nick) provided just the right amount of attention - not overbearing but there when we needed. I will definitely be a return customer as will the guests in my party.

    We went there as a family for my wife's birthday celebration on January 7, 2023. The food was amazing. We felt that there could have been more attention from the server. The place was packed. He made good suggestions about the menu, but we missed the high-quality service (checking on drinks, clearing the table, and quick chatting). We could not ask questions as he was running all the time, saying, "I will be right back"; we heard this statement 6 or 7 times. We always go as a family for lunch. In the future, we will stick to that (maybe not a child place in the evening, just a thought!). Overall, it was a good experience, and the food was perfect (you can tell they go into detail to prepare it)—food 10/10.

    Great food, atmosphere and staff! I would definitely recommend eating there. There were only two waiters working for a full house. I would have given 5 stars for service if another waiter was on shift. I would also like to see corn tortillas and nachos, instead of just wheat flour, for a more gluten friendly menu.

    The ambiance was great, cozy and atmospheric and Mexican without being tacky. It's not cheap fast food Mexican. Food was excellent, and plentiful. Guac and chips SO GOOD and was more than enough for 4 as an appetizer. Tasty Margarita, not too sweet and not weak. Looking forward to the next visit.

    Had some great tasting items. The beef in my meal was on the salty side but I realize many people like it that way. Would go again and would order the same items or try a bunch of appetizers. Great tequila options in house

    Server Natasha was very good. Very welcoming , explained the menu well, was prompt with drinks and food. Let us try a few bites and asked how the food was. We had quesadillas that were great. Good amount of filling and the new presentation was great. Instead of a large plate with sections, having it pre sliced and arranged on a skinny plate was great. The baked enchiladas were to die for. Hot, very meaty and they even left the spicy crema on the side as I don't like a of spice. I could add as much as I wanted. Over all, service, food taste and presentation were great. Highly recommend to anyone wanting great ambiance, food and super service. Definitely going back soon.

    We ate there last night and it was a fairly quiet evening for them. Our server was fantastic! I apologize for not getting his name. His food recommendations were spot on and I’m very sad I can’t go back tonight to eat there again. I would honestly fly back to Thunder Bay just to eat the pork tacos again. Such an amazing texture and taste.
