   I hope no one gets Pedro as there server. He throws plates and napkins at you. Is rude, doesn’t have any manners. If you get him please ask for someone else, he will single-handedly ruin your night with his negative energy.

   The wife and I were here for Cinco De Mayo and had a nice time. They had a small mariachi band that stopped at various spots around the restaurant so everyone could hear their music. There was also an area where staff were selling street tacos for $4 each. It's usually fairly quiet when we eat here, so it was nice to see it lively for a change. But not so lively that you can't have a conversation. Plus, great service from our server, Jorge. Thumbs up all around!

   We went for my daughter birthday with more guest then we had anticipated but staff still made it work. Our waitress was amazing and on top of her game!!!..2 family platters & side salads is plenty for a party of 11.food is good but could me better.

   Went for Easter Brunch. The service was great and a good variety of food choices. It's a little different in the "buffet" line since they now serve you, but it went pretty quick.

    Initial contact with waitress was unfriendly but improved…table was for 6 table provided was not clean when seated underneath table was dirty and spills we not moped. Has changed a lot we have been going there for years … needs to improve on cleanliness

    Brunch. Food was fresh, tasted good, champagne, and they will give you orange juice to mix yourself if you prefer mimosa as they advertised. Our server was very attentive. Please tip them well. Seating was in a proximity . Very noisy. Without reservations, at least 1 hr and 50 minutes wait ( weekends). It said Brunch til 2pm but turned us away at 12pm and said not taking anymore brunch. He was rather rude. The gentleman/greeter with a bit darker skin with glasses, at the counter in Weset Covina. Everyone else was nice. Except that gentleman. Went back with a reservation next weekend and was seated within 10 minutes. After the brunch, again ran into the same gentleman as I was walking out, and he made comment on me getting a mint, not a nice one. I am Not sure he doesn't like me being another race, but all the servers and female greeters were very nice and attentive.

    Came here for Valentine's Day while the food was good, the service was very slow. While we were seated quickly after we arrived, it took a while for someone to come and get our drink and food order. We did get chips and salsa immediately which helped alleviate hunger, we were thirsty for a while. At the end of the meal there was a couple of unexpected extra charges. For example, they have a surcharge they add at the end of the meal. Regardless of what you order, they add a food surcharge. I also asked for a little extra corn cake to take home and they charged me 5 bucks for a tiny scope of corn cake. Because of the surcharge for the order and poor service, I will not eat at this El Torito anymore. There are plenty of other Mexican food places to eat in the area.

    My wife ordered the duo fajitas which included beef and chicken. The beef had a lot nerve in the meat and the chicken was dry. The Caesar salad and the Mango margarita were very good. The service was good but nothing offered because of the fajitas. We showed the fajitas to the waitress so she could inform the cooks.

    We went prior to the dinner rush for my birthday. We made a reservation and still had to wait 20 mins for the table to be ready. I wouldn't be upset about that except for the fact that there were only 5 tables in the entire restaurant that were occupied. The rest of the restaurant was empty. Then, when we were finally seated, out table for 6 people was squished between two booths with barely any room between the other tables. The area where we were seated was surrounded by tables that were not cleared away by a busser for our entire meal. The last thing that completely ruined my birthday was that my food was cold when it arrived. Other people had similar issues with the temp of their food. Our server was nice but he was lacking the support of the kitchen to serve food quickly and at the right temp and the bussers didn't support him either. It was a terrible experience.

    There are few restaurants open on Christmas day. We were lucky to make reservations at this El Torito. We were seated promptly, the wait staff was very pleasant and professional and the food was great. We were all pleased with the meal and the service.

    Horrible experience, I will never go back. Air broke down customers were miserable. Employees were all in a bad mood. Husband is Asian . Workers totally in ignored his and waited on customers behind him . Very racial . Didn’t feel comfortable after that. Waiter took half hour to bring drinks

    Very dissapointed :( no air conditionig in 110 degrees .When i ask the waiter he say the managemnet don't care to fix it and they been working with out the air the whole summer ....the waiter as well very rude and don't come to our table more than 2-3 times and becuase we call him . very dissapointing experience ....i think everybody was in bad mood because no air :(

    The first table we were seated at was covered in ants. Since we were not in the mood to share dinner with an ant colony, we moved to another table. It took a long time for our waiter to show up, but he made up for the wait with excellent service. The food and drinks were very good. The restaurant was not very busy so the noise level was low. The manager came to check on our table near the end of dinner, I appreciate that.

    We did not have such a great experience, our server didn't seem like they wanted to be there! Just a blah attitude. My margaritas weren't good and we constantly had to ask for a refill on regular fountain drinks since our cups were literally filled with ice. We definitely didn't get that friendly customer service

    Terrible food is bland and awful. Had reservations at 11:00am took forever to get seated. Saw multiple parties get seated before us with no reservations. They were told 30-35 minutes only to complain to management and get seated right away ignoring those who had reservations. Got sick from the ceviche so beware! Not coming back. Better off going next door to Marie Callender's buffet better service and food!
