El Torito - Santa Monica
Using the freshest ingredients and boldest flavors, our menu offers a range of quintessential Mexican food, along with culinary innovations we know guests will love. We are known best for our tableside preparations, including our made-to-order guacamole and flame-grilled fajitas, which arrive sizzling to the table.
Our standard is great, and we don’t do anything without passion. Over 60 years, we’ve learned a lot about Mexican food, like how not to mess it up.
We really didn't need a reservation...the restaurant was empty. The staff seemed occupied with other chores besides waiting and serving us.
This location offered pretty terrible service. Took half an hour to take our order and, after another half an hour of waiting for the appetizers to come, we had to eventually leave.
The brunch experience needs help. $27 for an adult is a bit pricey for what they provide. I expected better and walked away disappointed.
Good service. Visited to redeem a birthday coupon.
We really love the food and drinks here, but the service is SLOW. Be prepared to spend some time.
Always excellent food and service here, great bright atmosphere. The salmon tacos and the shrimp street tacos are fantastic.
The food was great and an incredible value. We did this as an informal graduation lunch for my son and it worked well for a party of 12.
The food was amazing! Our waitress was the best! Really enjoyed our dinner
The service was really slow. Waited over 30mins for the food. We were 8 people and they brought the food 2 plates at a time, we had the wait for everyone to get their food so we can eat together☹️
After dining at El Torito for several years, we have decided that we are not likely to return again. The last three visits were mediocre at best. We ate at the buffet on this visit. The cheese enchiladas lacked cheese inside and were more than dry as they sat untouched on the buffet table from the time we arrived until we departed. Their famous cilantro salad dressing seemed to be watered down. The best dish was their corn cake, if you could dig around the dry stuff on top.
The staff was friendly, very helpful and made our experience wonderful. The food was delicious and the selection was plentiful. Thank you for the experience. Will return sooner than later!
The experience was average, cost of Sunday Brunch at $29.00 was reasonable however beverage (juice, coffee and/or soft drink) NOT included. Food is not outstanding; however it is an all you can eat buffet. AND there is a 10% offered with AAA membership.
We went out for Valentine’s Day as a family with a kindergartner and a 4 month old baby. The restaurant is spacious and and most appropriate for a family dinner. We enjoyed ourselves. This particular location felt more like a family-owned restaurant than a a chain restaurant. We’ll be back again. :)
We were right on time for our reservation and they told us to go to the bar as they were very busy and they would call us. There appeared to be several tables available but she was insistant.
We went to the bar and waited and waited, when I finally went back to the desk they had MANY empty table and had just forgot us.
I would not go back for the bad service and mediocre food.
The food was good. It was a nice easy place to go before a show.
We visited ElTorito for the Christmas Buffet and it was fabulous! We were seated quickly - great waiter who checked with us often and most important, good food and NO lines to get our food at the different stations. Excellent - would certainly recommend the buffet whenever it is offered. I know they have it on Sundays and special occasions. Great.
good food, service could have been better tho.
I made a reservation for 16 and we ended up having more than that however the staff here were very accommodating and did not seem upset or anything rather they ensured we all had a seat .
I would like to thank you for recognizing our Veterans with a fine meal.
