   Server was around when you didn’t need him but not around when you did. Had asked another server to buy a gift card while waiting for the food to come out, and she disappeared to the office, never returned. All the while, the gift cards were in the desk at the hostess station. I was just trying to buy $10 for a teacher for teacher appreciation week , that’s why I even went to eat there, but they said minimum was $50. Wasted my time standing waiting for a server to disappear, and wasted a meal that I could have had somewhere else that I wanted to go to and would have enjoyed

   Great waiter who provided excellent service. I had the beer battered shrimp tacos, which were delicious. The others in my party appeared to enjoy their enchiladas and quesadillas. We will definitely return in the near future.

   We had made a reservation which to me I would think you'd have a table reserved and the most we'd wait is 10 min. Not here, no table was ready we waited 30 min to finally be seated in the bar. With a 2 year old. Who sits a family in a bar with. reservation. The hostess area needs to get it together would never return here.

   Great location and good parking. We had our drinks and dinner in the bar area which was spacious. Our server was prompt and nice. We were attending a “Paint Night” event at the same location at 7pm, so we allowed an hour to eat, but it was too rushed.

   El lugar está buen ubicado con un local grande, pero el servicio no es bueno, dejaron de llevar productos, cuando ordenas bebida tardan mucho, la carne no la traen en el término que se ordena y el guacamole, vegetales que le ponen a los tacos está helado, tienen buen menú, pero deben poner atención a los detalles, ya que la experiencia no fue buena

    On the day of my visit, they did not have anything steak or shrimp. They actually warned us and had a note on the door, but we decided to stay and try and deal with the chicken entrees because we drove all the way from LA. I asked in the beginning could we get a discount for the inconvenience and our server said that the manager will probably not honor a discount because we told you before you sat down what was available. The point I was trying to make that even though they did not have what we came for we still decided to stay and patronize them anyway even though we could have left. The service was just ok spent too long ordering because we had to figure what we could get. A few of the items we got were over cooked and dry which consisted of a chicken tamale and Carnita taco. Very disappointed in the quality of the food and it was a total let down. In speaking with the server, he said they should have closed for that day since their shipment did not come in. The server was nice, but he forgot a lot of things we asked for and had to be reminded so because of this out of their control situation I would probably not go back here just because they did not value me as a loyal customer that chose to stay. I will probably not go back to this location.

    This El Torito in Pasadena was a GREAT setting for a holiday lunch w/friends, before we saw a holiday play. Not only was the FOOD EXCEPTIONAL (First time for a "Mexican Pizza" - DELICIOUS! and the Chicken/ Sour Cream Enchiladas were TASTY!), but our server, "Berto" was very courteous and helped to make our luncheon FUN! P.S. El Torito is also a VERY GOOD OPTION for Vegetarians! Thanks, for a WONDERFUL lunchtime w/friends, El Torito!

    Poor service, had to walk out. False advertising of Mariachi. The restaurant had a bad smell was not very clean. I was very disappointed. Last time I went was three years ago and my family had a great time. This time if I could I would score it a zero.

    Went for a birthday dinner w/family and was disappointed given what I read in reviews. Food took a very long time to come out after ordering & some in our party had to wait a long time. Food was mediocre. Not much meat in tacos. Kids tacos too spicy to eat. Server was doing as well as he could. Doubtful I will return.

    Poor service, food was cold, the food tasted old. Expensive for what we got out of it. I was very dissatisfied. Staff had bad disposition to serve your needs. The coffe was good, very good.

    It had been a while since we came to an El Torito, so I had forgotten how good the food was. The fajitas as well as the tacos were excellent. Service was good. However, this location seems to be a bit plain looking compared to what I remember other branches to have been in the past. It could use some wall decorations.

    Our experience had a few minor issues from the start but we were willing to make the best of it but it wasn’t until we had ordered our food and received our order minus one plate and it was about 10 min later that another waitress came and said they were out of that item what else did we want ? Then we had to wait another 10 min for the new plate, mind you we were not going to eat unless we were all together . We finally decided to talk to a manager which took him another 10 min to get to us and his response was not understanding or customer friendly he said “so what do u want?” It’s not what do we want ? We wanted a good experience . He said he’s be back with a resolution which we still had not Touched our food and he did not come Back we had to tell our waitress and he basically didn’t believe us and didn’t want to deal with our issues. Our waitress was really friendly and understanding but the manager and the lack of communication here is terrible. It’s really unfortunate our experience was not better .

    My family and I decided to celebrate my mothers birthday here. upon arrival we immediately got a table. Our waiter was very nice and carrying and never once we felt like the waiter was angry or in a rush to get us out which unfortunately happens in other restaurants. We mention to our waiter that it was my mothers birthday, he and some of his co workers came to our table with a dessert for my mother and sang Happy birthday to her, it had made my Mother’s Day. Over all, I love this restaurant and definitely would go back and recommend to my family and friends.
