El Torito - Orange
Using the freshest ingredients and boldest flavors, our menu offers a range of quintessential Mexican food, along with culinary innovations we know guests will love. We are known best for our tableside preparations, including our made-to-order guacamole and flame-grilled fajitas, which arrive sizzling to the table.
Our standard is great, and we don’t do anything without passion. Over 60 years, we’ve learned a lot about Mexican food, like how not to mess it up.
My experience was great, it was Mother’s Day, so I understand that the waiters were rushed. They were very kind.
I was able to book 30 mins in advance for 10 people and everything was perfect.
This place is the spot for Sunday brunch in the North Orange County area! Plenty of excellent tasting food options and makes this the place for Sunday brunch. Bottomless mimosas- enough said!
Very loud. We had asked to sit outside when we booked but they tried to seat us inside. We requested outside thinking it would be quieter but there were 2 huge parties of about 100 people. We were seated at a table in the corner. It was dirty with cob webs on the walls and drain pipes loose and some weird tubing coming out of the ceiling and under us. Very strange. Like being in a 3rd world country without health codes. I ordered chicken street tacos and the chicken was very tough. My husband ordered taco salad and we had no silverware and I went to a table next to us where all the silverware for the whole restaurant was out and grabbed what I needed. Like being in the back room. Why is all that out in the dinning area? Our waitress started off great but slowly disappeared. I asked two people for the salad dressing for the taco salad. That took 10 minutes. Terrible service. We finally got the bill but again no waitress so we finally took our bill to the manager at the front. She thanked us for coming. We could easily have left without paying, but of course asked to pay her. She thanked me when I told her about our experience but really didn’t seem to be in charge. I was disappointed and a bit grossed out by the food, service and poor conditions. Time for some cleaning before the health department shows up.
Our waiter Jose did not appear to be having a good day. He was rude and difficult to locate for service such as drinks, food & the bill. The bathroom was absolutely gross :( broken toilets, dirty floors. I will not return to this restaurant
I think because our table was in the back, the waiter forgot us!!
Young man who seated us was friendly and our server was great. Food was barely warm and not that good. There are much better Mexican restaurants out there. I don't think we will be back.
El Torito is okay for a chain restaurant. we went here because someone in our party wanted to go, but it's not my first choice.
Overall was fantastic only issue was set up of buffet caused a lot of items to be cold since they had all of the doors propped open
Hadn't been to an El Torito in years and years because of a bad food experience. When friends wanted to meet there for lunch, I thought it was time to try again. It was a weekday lunch for four. We were seated in a booth in a nook by ourselves. The service was excellent. The waiter returned often to refresh drinks and make sure we had everything we needed. We all enjoyed the food. Cheese enchiladas, fajitas and a Macho Combo! Pleasantly surprised. Will be back!
Floor was dirty and table was set up in walkway area. Restaurant was loud and overcrowded.
Good meal and service
The waitress was very nice and she provided an amazing service as well as the picture girl she was amazing, took great shots of my family and I.
Even with reservations we had to wait almost a half hour. Parking is beyond absurd. There use to be an attend to make sure the lot was only for guests. We ended up parking completely on the other side of the mall.
The noise level is out of control. It seemed like everyone is shouting.
The food was fine and the server tried his best.
Loved that they had a reserved sign on table for us and were able to be seated immediately. It did take a while for the server to come and get our drink order but once he took it, the service got better. Everyone enjoyed themselves!
We had fantastic service!
Un lindo lugar con una buena adaptación de la comida mexicana en California
Had a work Christmas party out on the patio. We had a great time except for the service. We had a group of 11 people and only 1 waiter. He barely came to our table and we waited for 20mins just to get our drink order in.
I have hosted several lunches at this location. They have a back patio area with a lot of space to move around. The service is always great and food top notch. Great time.
Food was very tasty. Everyone had a good time. Waiter did a great job keeping the chip basket full.
Super fun for Sunday brunch. Tons of food options and bottomless mimosas! Ernesto was a fantastic and attentive server. Will be back next time we're in the area.
Good accommodation, food, and great service! We had some late arrivals in our group of 10, but wait staff was very patient and kept the chips and salsa coming.
We went out for brunch on Sunday with 2 of our friends. They met at our wedding and now dating. So this was the first time all 4 of us were going out and wanted to have some food, drinks and chat.
The food, drinks and service was great but they have a little mariachi band going around and playing LOUD music that makes it impossible to have a conversation at times. Of course it depends how far or close the band is to your table but after a while it become really annoying. We enjoy listening to them for a little bit but not non stop and during the entire time.
Thank you to Gavino, the manager during lunch time who provided everyone with great customer service! Spicy mango margarita was awesome!
Great food! Great server! Friends had a great time! Really enjoy the champagne brunch and enjoy the constant fill-up. The only negative was no parking nearby.
