El Torito - Cypress
Using the freshest ingredients and boldest flavors, our menu offers a range of quintessential Mexican food, along with culinary innovations we know guests will love. We are known best for our tableside preparations, including our made-to-order guacamole and flame-grilled fajitas, which arrive sizzling to the table.
Our standard is great, and we don’t do anything without passion. Over 60 years, we’ve learned a lot about Mexican food, like how not to mess it up.
Chicken Machaca, Crispy Taco, Beef Barbacoa, Crispy Taco
Five pancakes stacked high and sprinkled with cinnamon-sugar and topped with strawberries and blueberries. Served with maple syrup
Love that there are so much space in there and no waiting to be seated !
Food was good. Place was just too crowded and long lines on the food stations.
This was the best experience that we have ever had at an El Torito Brunch. May have been do to the limited capacity due to Covid protocals, but in any case we really enjoyed ourselves more than in the past when it was always very hecktik and difficult to get through the lines for food. We would have to say that El Torito did a very good job of keeping the various food stations filled and due to the limited capacity organized seatings lines were not long. Our server, Daisy, was great. She delievered our omlets quickly, brought coffee and kept our Champagne glasses full and used plates cleared.
I ordered 2 shrimp tacos and 1 fish taco which should have been grilled. I ate the shrimp tacos snd it was okay but when I got to the fish tacos it was horrible. The fish looked like it over fried not grilled, really hard like it was a leftover fish and reheated. It was awful because I couldn’t even chew it, it’s like a piece of wood. Never coming back. ☹️
Server seemed a little overwhelmed with the 4 tables he had, apologizing for the service each time he went around. Not sure if it was the kitchen but no sense in getting all u can eat tacos when the second set comes almost 30 minutes later. Guess it's to be expected as we come back from all the closures.
On time with the reservation. However it took forever for waiter to take our order and once it was taken it took an hour to get the food when we got the food it was cold and different from our original order called manager was very apologetic remade our food and didn’t charge us. The cook never informed the waiters or the manager that certain items were not available and was making up his own substitutes. Our waiter seem to be missing in action had to call over another waiter that were very helpful. Maybe just a bad day to go...
The easier was very attentive and the food was excellent
Food was not great, been to other locations were food is better. Disappointed
I made reservations for two for 6:30, waited for almost 30 min. more. No sense of direction between manager and employees. My food was something less desirable. The only enjoyable last of my dinner was the lady who was cleaning the table.
So far all of the food I've had at El Torito has been excellent. I had the sopes on the Happy Hour menu and they were soooo good. I actually had them as my meal. The coconut pineapple margarita is delicious too. Our waiter/server was very friendly and attentive.
The lines at the buffet were a bit long and the food was okay. We received great service from our waiter though which made the experience better.
Really good food and service I will definitely be back
We were seated and after 10 min I had to get up and find out why no one had approached our table. A manager said that another manager would be there due to a miscommunication. Manager finally came and took our order. 1 minute later a waiter comes and is completely wrong about the order. The manager didn’t even remember my daughters order! The food finally came like 15 min later and it was cold. My daughter couldn’t even eat her fries because they were cold. Her father ordered the all you can eat tacos with Mahi mahi and they brought him 3 shrimp! The waiter tried saying that it was mahi mahi but it clearly wasn’t. He just took the three tacos and the waiter said he would bring the mahi mahi tacos. My rice and his rice were cold. It was just a terrible experience! The waiter came with the tacos and we just asked for boxes because we just wanted to leave. He did give us 20% off the check but we were there to eat good food and didn’t care about the cost. It took almost 20 minutes just to get the check paid so we could leave. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all!!!
The BBQ burrito was cold and I tried my best to eat it with no success.
They do not honor same day reservation through Open Table so we had to wait.
We had Arturo was our server and he was amazing. We always love his service . Thank you
The food was lukewarm when it finally arrived at the table. The noise level was to high due in a large part to loud music constantly playing. Conversation was impossible with anyone except the person sitting next to me.
Excellent and friendly customer service. Delicious food and variety of food choices.
We had reservations for 1 o'clock Easter Sunday for 12 people but our requsted table had other guests at it who weren't quite ready to leave. But Caesar handled the situation quickly and seated all of us at a great table within minutes of us arriving. Everything was great staff and all 😉👍
I’ve always enjoyed the breakfast buffet on sundays and Easter was exceptional! Not only did we get sat right away with our reservation, each table was greeted with delicious stack of pancakes. The food was perfect and the staff was amazing! We walked out with a gift card for our next visit on top of the amazing hospitality! I can’t wait to go back for brunch
A regular spot last 20 yrs. This time not so good. Took a while to get order in. Then took 30 mins to get food. When food arrived it was cold. Server took too long to get food. Food sent back and partial food was still luke warm when returned.
Because it’s so close to home, we’ll go back. But hope they fix this medium problem.
Our waiter was very rude and not very accommodating.
Food was not tasteful - my paloma tasted like cheap alcohol
All service looked miserable. And the only time we saw good service was when one of the staff family was there and was treated like VIPs and like they were the one people in the building.
Gloria was great. We like coming to this location. Also the Mexican Ceasar salad is really good.
The waitress didn't remove our plates once we were done, despite the restaurant was not busy. We didn't have space for dessert plates on the table. The experience was okay.
I got an e mail inviting me for a free entree for my birthday. Made a reservation and arrived. Was seated at table and told I could go to buffet. I stated I wanted to order off the menu. Ordered a marg for me a beer for hubby. Needed food. Was told I would have to wait an hour and they were not sure if I could have chips and salsa and changed our bill taking off buffet for 2.. Finally got some chips and salsa and ordered another drink each and table side guacamole. Coulnt wait any longer to eat so I asked for 1 buffet I got a spoon of cold beans a spoon of cold rice and two halves of a cold cheese Enchalada. Was not impressed at all so I did not go for more. Showed my email for an entree and was still charged $55. .. totally NOT worth it
It was very busy! Good for them.
Seating in parking lot not too bad.
Server Eduardo was excellent!
Took an hour after our reservation to get seated and the service was lacking somewhat
We waited 45-50 past our reservation time. Our waiter was great but there wasn’t enough staff. Clearly do to the capacity restrictions 15 min reservation time slots are not reasonable. Kitchen is competing to serve DoorDash vs. the patrons at the restaurant. Be prepared to wait even if you have a reservation.
Service was great Gloria was our servers and she was so busy and still took great care of us.
Started out with pancakes with a few pieces of fruit on them and of course butter and syrup. The pancakes were delicious and are brought automatically to your table. You fill out a slip of paper for your omelet or egg dish. We had omelets and they were exceptionally good. The rest is very similar to El Torito before COVID. They were very busy for Sunday Brunch so I recommend Reservations. We had GREAT service. We felt very safe in a booth with plexiglass on all three sides. It was so nice to enjoy a meal inside again! Plenty of food and Bubbly for $29.00 each. I would definitely return!
The place was awesome that is why we go back as often as we can.the staff is always friendly and attentive
We were sat at a dirty table, sticky, trash and chips smashed all over the floor. We asked to move, which the manager accommodated right away. But the cleanliness was not much better. We waited 10 minutes but we were never approached by a server so we took that as a sign to leave. Customers want to dine at a clean establishment, especially during these times. Super disappointed.
Despite the circumstances due to Covid, the staff did their best to make people feel comfortable.
Good food and great atmosphere
Server was overwhelmed took a lifetime to get drinks
Service was fast and great! Food and drinks were tasty!
Had a good variety at the buffet. Each station was manned by 1-2 people. Once we were seated we put in our made to order omelets which arrived in 5 minutes. Our server Griselda was very attentive and made sure our champagne was full!
