It was a first try for brunch - we had reservations but they didn’t seem to notice it or avoided to be bothered too much as it was quiet empty ... it does get very noisy and loud... service was hit and miss... good food and drinks...
Delicious food (especially great for brunch) and beautiful view. Definitely make a reservation as it gets crowded.
Amazing views, great drinks, quick service and seating (thank you brunch reservation). Only thing that was horrible was the stairs to the top since the elevator was broken. I guess I worked off my meal before I had the chance to eat it. Overall great experience though!
Pretty good. Went for Saturday brunch. Food was tasty. Very good sangria at a reasonable price. Get a view. Overall, definitely worth a visit.
Came for a brunch date on Labor Day. Kind of cramped seating but lively rooftop. Wasn’t wowed by the food, just mediocre/standard food.
Brunch, great energy, amazing food
Thanks for the flexibility for a high chair for a baby and accommodating our large party
the food was amazing! the service was great. the corn pancakes were so tasty and the shrimp cocktail ... everything really was delicious !
They were very accommodating to our large party of 12. They also brought a cute treat to our friend with a birthday!
Great view! Fast, efficient service during brunch. I would recommend booking ahead, wait times without reservations could be over an hour. I had their chorizo and eggs, pretty tasty but nothing out of the ordinary. I recommend maybe stopping by for appetizers and a pitcher of sangria to soak in the view.
I've just started going there w/my Senior mom in last several months I think this was our 4th time maybe. Unfortunately, though we had issues with a "slower than usual" elevator. so my mom walked up 3 flights of stairs with her cane. Even though it was an extra bit tiring she did it with a smile on her face and she insisted on walking down the stairs on way back out. Anways hopefully that will get cleared up soon but the food man just great! We tried for 1st time the DELICIOUS shrimp cocktail! I had the vegetable scramble and mommy had the gallo pinto. All just delicioso... will keep making a return visit
Great food. Great service. Great drinks.
Ran a 5k and celebrated the victory
We kept having to ask for things, and yes we had a big party but they brought out 2 plates and everybody else had to wait longer for theirs, it was just kinda bad service and it didn’t seem as busy as it has been in the past. I was a little disappointed because I used to enjoy going here.
Great view, great service. Even though I was late to my reservation (I called ahead of time to let them know), the staff was very friendly and super helpful.
Good vibe, great view, okay food, great drinks.
It was my brothers birthday and they helped to surprise him and the food.drinks and service were awesome. Thanks!!!
View is incredible - one of the best in the city - but you can barely hold a conversation with your table at brunch at noon.
Went to El Techo with friends who were visiting from out of town for brunch. I recommend making reservations for when the place opens to guarantee you get a table and so you can have a moment to enjoy the views before it gets packed. The noise level can get pretty intense, but it adds to the party ambiance of the space. Don't miss out on the bunuelos with chocolate sauce!
Nice ambiance. Great service and good food.
The weather was absolutely perfect for mine and my friends first visit. We enjoyed our breakfast and mimosas while over looking the beautiful city. Selena took great care of us and let us sit and chat for more than 2 hours. All the staffs were polite, courteous, and friendly. Great place to enjoy a good meal, nice weather, and mellow atmosphere. We will be back.
Ambiance and food is great at this place. Bring a jacket or an extra layer it can get cold on the rooftop.
I have been to El Techo a few times and every time I have gone I am never disappointed by the food, drinks or the service. I highly recommend this place. You just feel the ambiance of the latin culture here and that is what I love about it the most.
This place has a great view of the city but the food is far from authentic. The food is not bad by any means but not great for given the price point. Would I come back, sure but not exactly for the food.
Amazing view of the city! Service was great! Food and drinks were amazing! We enjoyed a beautiful Sunday Brunch for a reasonable price! Street parking is hard to find so we parked in the nearby structure for $8. Would highly recommend and visit again!
Hostess was very rude and was not controlling the line. She watched as the line when it two different directions and when people asked her about it she just said “I don’t know some people are going this way and some people are going that way”. People with no reservation cut us right in front of her and she still did nothing and let them come up to the stand in front of us. She was very rude and gave everyone attitude who had a simple question. Very disappointed since this is not normal for el techo.
Fast service and amazing food!! The view was breathtaking too.
Our service was awful. I understand it tends to be busy Saturday mornings for brunch, but myself and a few of my guests had to get up at least 3-4 different times to find our server. The food is good and the ambience/views are great but the service, or lack there of, would really make me reconsider coming here again.
Nicole was an amazing waitress and even took the time to write us out some must see’s
I love the Mission and El Techo is one of the reasons why. Atmosphere is lively and unpretentious, food is stellar (if you are a brunch person you need to get here on a weekend), and everyone working is always great. Been many times and will be back many more.
We had brunch at El Techo. My benedictos was outstanding! The sauce was slightly spicy but the cornbread added a hint of sweetness. Very tasty. The outdoor patio was also lovely. I will go back!
I enjoyed a nice Pre- Mother’s Day brunch with my mommy. The food was great and the service was even better.
Our server Nicole was great! So nice and extremely helpful. She really knew her menu! It was helpful because my best friends newborn baby girl has so many allergies and we had to make sure nothing would harm the baby. Overall, the place was great. We got to our reservation seats right away and it was nothing short of expectations.
We were late to our reservation but we still got a table within 10 minutes. It was really busy but our serve was super attentive and nice. We got our drinks and apps pretty quick and the rest of the meal was delicious.
Great food with a nice view. Sangria and Paloma’s were also on point.
My food arrived cold, which was not awesome considering I ordered eggs. Our server forgot to bring me basic things I asked for (salt, hot sauce, a drink menu) but he was nice and the weather was awesome. This place has hit or miss service and food. We go here for the rooftop radness, not the food or service.
Great decor and ambiance. Service was ok, but they brought me the wrong food. The Benedict arrived without the sauce or chorizo, and I had ordered it exactly how it was on the menu. I would go back for drinks and guacamole, not food.
Overall great brunch place. Food is awesome and the view is incredible. It is very busy, and we were at a table that must have been between servers sections because we kept getting skipped over. So need to make sure you get the server's attention.
Great atmosphere and food options for brunch! Service was quick and accommodating. Make sure to reserve for brunch to avoid a wait.
El techo is a fun place to drink and eat chips and guac. The rest of the food is a Hard Pass in my opinion (maybe I got the wrong food on the menu). I ordered the chorizo scramble, it had no flavor, I did not like the weird red-ish sour cream that was spread all over the top of the eggs. That sauce had no flavor either and added nothing to the dish (meh). If you're going to add weird white/red stuff on top of a dish def put it on the side (imo). The potatoes were soaked in butter or oil and were mushy. They did not taste good at all. I make better food at home, a ten year old probably does, unfortunately, not worth $14 that's for sure.
