Paulina was our server with others assisting. Half our party were not frequent Mexican food eaters and struggled with the small plate menu but with guidance our server got everybody something they liked and portioned the selections well. One guest did not want anything spicy but really preferred food with little or no spice (hard for this type of small bites restaurant focusing on flavor bomb dishes). Alas, between the servers, owner, and chef, they replaced her meal with an off menu squid ink paella which was delicious (we all had a taste). The service and care really made for a nice evening.

I order a ribeye taco and it came out SAD. Just a corn tortilla and a grey, thin, rubbery slab of meat on top— should’ve cost $4, but it was a special and cost $12. I didn’t even take a full bite before I sent it back with the manager, who asked me why I didn’t like it, for “feedback.” I told him what was wrong and they took it away, but to my surprise it was still on my bill at the end. I figured it was a mistake and asked him to remove it, to which he responded “we don’t take things off the bill because you don’t like it.” I have worked in restaurant my whole life so I questioned that, and he told me if I google the taco, that’s what I get, and that it’s one of their “biggest sellers.” I said “are you sure you can’t take it off?” knowing that he absolutely can and should, but he refused. First time I’ve ever left less than a 20% tip IN MY LIFE. I left a note that said “remove the taco and give the bartender the $12.”

The space is fantastic! The food is amazing and the service was great. A perfect place to go before a show or if there’s no show at all.

Amazing place. One of the few restaurants in the greater Boston area with real gourmet Mexican food. Alvaro, the owner, is amazing.

The place was busy! We had a reservation but were running late. We called to let them know and they were so gracious and they held our table for us. Staff were very welcoming and friendly, food was delicious, and the servers were delightful.
