About El Siciliano Italian Steak House
El Siciliano Italian Steak House was born out of Chef Francesco Saggio and Jaime Guerra’s need to offer a new concept of food in the city that combines Monterrey cuisine with a touch of Italian. Saggio, with restaurants such as El Siciliano’s and Francesco’s, has given us the best of Italian cuisine with his dishes. Guerra, with his regional roots.

I took my wife to celebrate what I thought would be a fabulous Mother's Day celebration. The restaurant and ambiance seemed perfect enough for the occasion. The hot garlic bread served at our table was a superb way to initiate the evening's festivities. All seemed poised for a great time.
Then it happened. The restaurant started to fill with other guests and we went from first class service to an unacceptable class of service. Although there were sufficient wait staff about, it was clear that there was no leadership and nobody seemed to know who served what. After waiting for an hour to receive our meal (without being able to refill our empty drinks in the meantime), we were finally served. The pasta in both my wife's and my plate was the most over cooked and salty pasta that I have ever eaten, and I include the canned chef boyardee meals I used to eat as a bachelor in this comparison.
Not knowing if My kidneys would survive the night, I had to ask for a cup of unsalted marinara sauce, to be able to dilute the heavily salted meal, but to no avail.
Finally giving up halfway through both of our plates, we both desperately wanted something sweet to counteract the negative effects of the salt. After another hour of waiting for someone to bring us the desert menu and/or waiting for our drinks to be refilled, we finally gave up and left.
If you want a better experience, I recommend you to stay home and eat chef boyardee's spaghetti and meatballs. Twice the food for a fraction of the cost of this restaurant and wasted time!
