Great service delicious food but the dining area was really loud which made conversation difficult.
Ceviche was very good. Drinks, fried calamari, salad, and arroz con mariscos were just ok (with the exception of the mussels in the arroz which were fishy tasting) but nothing special. We did mention our disappointment with the mussels to the waiter who said he would let the kitchen know but we never heard anything further.
The service was great- so friendly, funny and even gave a dessert for my friend d birthday. The vibe was so fun- great decor and the food was amazing! Will definitely be back.
Tuna Taradito was bland and almost tasteless. Did not looked as appealing as website pic. Cocktails were excellent though. Our mains tasted good. Nothing exceptional. Service irratic. Nice ambiance a plus.
Amazing service and delicious food. Such a great find

I really loved this place. The food, drinks and service. I really wish we could have ate inside because it was lovely and which was the very reason why I booked to begin with. We arrived and were seated in the very front of the restaurant by the door, so I was facing the street and tents, not scenery I signed up for. I also got bit by mosquitos that evening which cut our evening so quick. I was so disappointed. I hope to get better seating if I return next time.
It was delicious! But I may be biased because I grew up with Peruvian food.
The food at El Secreto de Rosita was really outstanding! We loved the ceviche and the aji de gallina - both were so delicious and well-executed! The host was so kind, too - I called a few times to make sure the table was ready and right for our anniversary dinner and they were so accommodating and friendly! And they brought us champagne when we arrived, which was very sweet. The service could have been sharper, though - they didn't see we needed silverware and brought our appetizer before we had it and had to ask for some. And the pacing was sluggish. Drinks were nice and overall really liked the atmosphere, music carried to the terrace seating, which felt private due to some discrete fencing. The only thing missing for us is more vegetable options on the menu and entrees, but a really great spot! Will hope to try again for drinks and small plates, too! :)
The place was nice enough, but the staff was overwhelmed. Nobody seemed to have food on the table as we waited an hour for an appetizer, after it taking 15 minutes to be spoken to by a waiter. The food wasn't good enough to make the wait worthwhile.
Unfortunately was a bad experience. The restaurant is very nice the service was prolonged I believe because they don't have staff the food never came was not enjoyable. Probably I don't come back.
This place is very good
Good food , and the staff is outstanding
Great ambiance and service! Beautiful spot for a night out with friends or a date.
Incredibly warm, kind staff and amazing food and cocktails. We will definitely be back for more ceviche and lomo saltado. Don’t skip dessert either!
Absolutely fantastic meal. Traditional Peruvian classics and then fusion with Asian flavors. We loved it!
And the COCKTAILS!! Delicious. Too good... too tempting... too many!!
Great quality of the ingredients and good flavor on all of them. They could improve the desserts.
Wine was hood and ceviche but can’t say anything about dinner dishes ,
The server was kind
Arturo and Keith took great care of us. The food was delicious and the drinks were amazing! Looking forward to go back.
Confusing menu and limited wine selections. Received 2 appetizers instead of entrees. Lovely outdoor setting but noisy due to fire station across the street. Food was delicious!
Great food a service!! Little loud in the inside section closest to the street since the doors were open.
Service was great and very attentive. The food, however, was a bit lacking in flavor and Peruvian spices. Their lomo saltado was very good though and would highly recommend.
I hoping to eat Peruvian food. I am from Peru and that was definitely not Peruvian food.
Went to dinner with my wife for our first anniversary and it was amazing! We loved the food, cocktails, and ambiance. Our waiter gave us complimentary champagne for our anniversary and was very helpful when deciding what to order. I would definitely recommend trying this place out
Loved the atmosphere and the tapa style dining was delicious. I’d definitely go again.
Our server and overall staff were so nice!! I had the best time celebrating my birthday here!! And the food was so good!
Very tasty food, nice atmosphere, good service, but overpriced
Great place with great vibe. Excellent service and delicious food. I gave the food 4 stars just because the Mahj Mahi dish did not have the spices or flavors as the other dishes did.
I will definitely go back.
Tasty dishes. Good value. Young crowd.
Amazing food and service at this place. The decor is also very hip and gives off upscale lounge-style vibes. highly recommend the ceviche nikkei, teriyaki chicken, and flan.
Had a great time dining. The cocktails were amazzzzing!
The food was delicious the ceviche was really good like back home in Peru the fish was fresh full of flavor
This is the best Peruvian restaurant in the DC area. My husband is Peruvian and we took our two nieces there for one of their birthdays and it was a great experience. The service is terrific, and the staff are both knowledgeable and friendly. Great Pisco sours too!
Excellent service and the food was fabulous.
I truly enjoyed the experience! The food was great and the server was attentive! He never missed a beat. Check them out.
El Secreto de Rosita had a really good taste of Peruvian cuisine. The Lomo Saltado and Arroz con Mariscos were phenomenal, literally bringing me back home.
First and foremost the food is fantastic. My husband is Peruvian and he loved it. I had the Lomo Saltado and he had the arroz con mariscos and we were both impressed. The drinks were creative and delicious. But the decor is what really pushes it over the top! Deep emerald green velvet chairs along with unique pieces of art displayed all across the walls and everything is showered with the light from sparkling chandeliers. It really makes for an experience. Highly recommended for adults.
Great ambiance, loved the decor. Our server, Keith, was great. My pescado a lo macho was delicious and loved the chicha morada pisco drink.
Ceviche was fresh, the chicha morada pisco drink was delish -- highly recommend -- high praise coming from a fellow Peruana!
Such an incredible ambiance with amazing food and delicious drinks! A new favorite for sure.
