When we arrived we had to sit at a drinks table as our table wasn’t ready. Then waited 30 mins for a drink order to be taken, then got told we were staying here our dinner . So then got menus after 40 mins. Far too loud- couldn’t hear a thing . And food was nice but not for what you pay and tiny portions. Won’t be back.

Everything was great although the hightop table we booked was extremely small even for 2 people. We were advised that this has been looked at and will be getting changed soon. Would recommend and will definitely be back.

Food and service were both outstanding. Food was delicious. There were drunk people at the bar being noisy and spilling drink but otherwise would highly recommend and definitely be back. Margarita's were amazing.

Cocktails were very nice however very slow service. Ordered drinks before our main arrived and had finished our food before the drinks arrived. Very small portions for the prices. The place itself is very nice but I want be rushing back unfortunately.

We left after 1 drink. Despite booking they had given our table to another party. We waited for 20 minutes for our initial drink order - a mobbed cocktail bar with one obviously overwhelmed bar tender doing his best... The music was great but so loud that we couldn't even attempt conversation. We left after one drink and won't be rushing back...Sorry.

I didn’t actually have any food, but I had to rate it to let me move forward. However, we went to the bar area, which was very tastefully decorated. The bar staff were very friendly and helpful, although pretty busy, so it was a bit difficult to get their attention. However, overall really enjoyed the experience and will be back!

The food was great! Service was not so good. Mixed up our order which saw mains for three arriving, before the starters. Starters the arrived. However the meal for one of our party arrived after we had all finished. When asked where it was just ‘it is coming’. We were very kindly given a discount to make up for the issue. We would come back, as the food was very good.

Myself and two friends went to el santo at 3 pm on a Friday and the restaurant was completely dead(not a complaint just pointing out that no one else was there so anticipated that we would be served quickly). We got seated and the waitress seemed to have an attitude. Ordered our food and my friend had asked the waitress if she could get sour cream instead of the mayo that the tacos were going to come with as she has an egg allergy. The waitress was very abrupt about this saying that they do not do sour cream and had asked my friend why. My friend responded again saying she has an allergy to eggs. The waitress again asked what the allergy was to which my friend replied again, eggs. She said she would see what the kitchen can do. 15 minutes go by and we still have not received any drinks or anything. 20 minutes go and we get served our main course? Bare in mind we ordered starters and drinks which still had not come yet. We started eating then about half way through we were eventually served two drinks. My other friend still waiting on hers. We were finished our meal before my third friend had received her drink. Then finally after finishing we were served our starters? The food was good but portions were very small and we were all still hungry after. We decided to get up and leave and pay at the door as did not want to wait another half an hour for someone to come over and see to us for the bill. The waitress had picked up her attitude when we were leaving however would have been nice to have this at the start. Overall will not be back.

Once arriving at the resteraunt we were seated at a table at the bar expected to eat a full meal here. The table was not big enough at all which just made it difficult to enjoy our meal. The server was exceptionally rude aswell, it was our first time visiting the restaurant and wanted to ask the waiter about some of the options of the menu instead she was abrupt in her mannerisms when asking what we would like to eat and couldn’t of cared less about helping us. The server stood side on to us aswell when taking our order as she decided it would be a great idea to just put it straight into the computer which meant i spoke to the side of her face when trying to tell her what i would like to eat. The food then came which was freezing cold, the corn lay in a bed of grease, the chips were look warm. The service was slow and lacked any sort of quality, once we had our meal nobody seemed to bother about serving us anything else, due to this we sat drinking water that was provided upon arrival as trying to get a ahold of a waiter was like gold dust. Overall, not a great experience especially when i am not of the fussy type!!

Food was tasty although very small portion size, but when asking which ceviche is the vegan one, none of the waiters knew and one of them pointed at one randomly saying this is the vegan one. Trusted him and ended up eating way too much fish for someone who doesn’t eat fish, before realising this was definitely real fish - while my partner was eating my vegan “fish” which really was just a small saucy salad. Would normally not leave a bad review but this could be really dangerous to someone with allergies or intolerances

Heard great things about this place, but the food was disappointing. Staff were friendly and professional. Atmosphere was nice, a bustling restaurant with live music and even some Latin American dancers going around tables. My starters were delicious but my husband's was mediocre. Both main courses were disappointing....i didn't finish mine. Wine was lovely and reasonably priced (for a city centre venue) but I have to say, I won't be back.

Service was absolutely terrible, firstly there was a fly on my drink, secondly the tacos came out before the starters, so I was eating them while my partner had no food, then the starters came and then my partners mains, which left me just watching her eat. The food was nice but the service was not good at all

Our late lunch and margaritas were outstanding. We can wait to visit again and bring along friends. The music artist on Saturday afternoon was fabulous and just set the tone for a perfect afternoon in a beautiful location. See you real soon.

Really disappointed with our visit to El Santo, we were ushered off our table just before 7.30pm as a table of 14 were booked in.. Staff actually took our jackets/drinks/bags and took us through to another area even though we wanted desserts. We enjoyed the bar area for 40mins or so and then decided to leave. When we returned to the main restaurant to pay our bill there was no table of 14 to be seen. So our meal was hurried to a close for no good reason, they hadn't even push the tables together yet for the party of 14. We were then appalled to see a £16 service charge on our bill - the service was not by any means exceptional, our food took ages to come out. Wouldn't go back, and got the impression from staff that it is just expected that you pay a service change nowadays, regardless. Should not be the case.
