It was a celebration and my guests and I dont recall having worst food before. The photos on social media are not what you get. The portions/tapas are tiny and overpriced. The octopus was tasteless and had rubber texture. The veal steak was rare. The crumbed veal was tough, overcooked and damped in oil. We were told the food would come separately even ordering everything at the same time. The sides dont come at the same time that the plate, it is honestly a mess. We asked if we could have any hot/spicy sauce to go with the crumbed veal and the chef sent a brown warm sauce to the table which was not spicy. The waitress was on her own and trying to do her best. Dessert was also disappointing, what they call a cookie should be called a paper waffle. Terrible experience, I was ashamed of bringing people into this to spend $250. Any pub does a better job. Never coming back…

I am Spanish and I love this restaurant. Food that really tastes like being in Spain. If this restaurant were in Spain I would classify it as quality. The food and the way it is cooked is really high quality. Congratulations to the whole team at the restaurant.

This is a new hidden gem in Benowa shopping centre precinct, The best Spanish food you will have o the GC. The food and produce was top quality and the buzz, the service and the local spanish wine list was great. Ideal for families, date night and great parking,

We wanted a local restaurant with a different flair on food, we achieved this at El Porton being a Spanish Restaurant. Food was delicious and yes there is a great wine list but all in the expensive range. Overall enjoyed our meal and will definately come back.

Excellent service by all staff and just delicious food. We had a great experience trying a little from all parts of the menu. Definitely recommend!

Love this family run restaurant. It has the most amazing food and a wonderful selection of wines and cocktails. The staff are extremely helpful and cannot fault the service. A must if you love your tapas. Can highly recommend!!

I really hope that people get behind this restaurant and give them the support they deserve. I have dined here a few times and have loved it every time. Always great service, always lovely food. The decor is really lovely inside and on a nice summers day its nice to be able to sit outdoors. A new local favourite.
