We always enjoy El Pinto. The food is excellent and we love the rooms and patios.
Brunch was excellent, but large serving size.
We go to El Pinto for special occasions or date nights without the kids. The food is always amazing. The servers are helpful of one another and they make you feel at home. The ambience is exceptionally peaceful and warm with the fire places burning real wood and the lighting set low. We recommend El Pinto for a great New Mexican meal with a special touch.
Awesome food and server. Food was not over salted but was very flavorful with the chili flavor. Probably the best most knowledgeable server I have ever had. Ribs were incredible!
Great food recommend the ribs ! Specialty of the house ! I had the rib eye which was large and flavorful but had gristle ... chips are by far the best I have ever had ! Husband loves the sop api? Fluffy fry bread with honey ! None of which I had due to low carb ! We have been there before and will go again when in Albuquerque! Do love the setting
El Pinto was my choice to celebrate my birthday! I ordered the Calabacitas Burrito added with lean pork. My sides were green chili, sour cream and guacamole. The food was outstanding. The Garden Room has a relaxing ambiance. El Pinto consistently goes above and beyond to provide a high quality dining experience.
Authentic Mexican food with your choice of New Mexico red chili/green chili sauce and very good margaritas. Great chili con queso and salsa which is made next door in their plant.
Awesome food with a great server who walked us through N Mexico food chile’s etc
We wanted to treat our adult Grandchildren visiting from Ohio to some New Mexico true food and ambiance. They were impressed.
We have been to El Pinto several times and enjoyed our experience!
This time I tried the ribs: after asking the waiter if they could make the sauce mild. He told me the ribs were not to spicy. WRONG, they were inedible! Management was nice and “comped” the meal.
Unfortunately, I left hungry. So this experience was not too good. But, we will try them again!
At first we were taken by the beautiful physical setting and ambiance and commented this would be a nice place to bring visitors. The Kiva fireplaces burning were a nice touch. However, the food was mediocre to below average and overpriced for the quality. Have gotten better food at numerous places for a lot less money. We probably won't be returning nor will we be bringing out of town guests. Service was good almost to a fault. . . . .almost bothersome. Also got my order wrong.
Always a favorite place for Mexican and southwest style food. Great for larger groups, we had 9 including several teenaged. Everyone always finds a dish they love. Amen! Thanks to el pinto!
Our food was absolutely delicious and the service was fantastic!! As always!! We took our friends from Denver there. They love Mexican food and have taken them to every other Mexican restaurant in Albuquerque however since we started taking them to El Pinto, that is the only place they want to eat. They also love the ambience!!
First time there, its was amazing. Waitress was wonderful. Loved it. Its a must to dine here.
Great, Jonathan was super. Live music was a plus.
Such professional service whom are able to accommodate special menu requests. Delicious!
We loved the food and service!!! Waiter was excellent. For being such a big group, our cups were never empty and he was ready when we requested any items.
One missed opportunity after the last.
No salt on the chips - No heat in the salsa - Guacamole was JUST avacado
Food Network's #3 in the US Red Chile Ribs were cooked perfectly, fall off the bone, but the Chile was added afterwards so it didn't impart any of the flavor during the cooking.
Seated at a patio table with a table cloth on it.
Just average after average - Could have been so much better
Cool place, great gluten free options, great staff
We took guests from out of state who had never been to the restaurant. We were seated in a room that was closed off for winter. There was really no decor. It was drafty and we were the only people in the room. I felt we were in detention. When I saw that our guests were uncomfortable I asked to be moved. We were easily moved so I don’t know that we had to be seated there in the first place. As I think back, we also went through that on OUR first visit as well. I’d like to bring more out if state guests here, but how do I ask for a room with ambience?
Best Red Chile Ribs Ever!! There a must for our family Everytime we visit.
The large New Mexico Hacienda ambience is perfect for dining. The menu is a nice combination of local cultural cuisine and essentials such as choice steak cuts and ribs. Their deep fried green chili strips are one of my favorite appetizers amongst all of the restaurants I have dined in throughout the country.
Seating was bad. Nothing special. Food was served cold.
Excellent service. Food was very good. We enjoyed the Bloody Mary with the pickled string beans. Great ambiance.
I reserved an area for my brothers birthday, and invited the rest of the family. It turned out to be a very pleasant gathering. Good job El Pinto!
We travel from the mid-west to southeast every year and always make it a point to dine at El Pinto
Nicole was our server; she was kind, knowledgeable and provided excellent service. My father and I were blessed to dine in the Garden Room. Incredible restaurant; delicious food!
Good food, good service, nice & cozy atmosphere. Other than a cold breez blowing onto our table from a poorly sealed window, this place and overall experience was great.
El Pinto is always a great place to eat. Our service and food and was very good. Recommended for New Mexican food any day!
We don't go to El Pinto very often but when we do we absolutely love it. This has become our go-to for all our family birthday celebrations. The food is great and their chile, both red and green are the best in town IMO, and the Margaritas, just the best. Even the house blend with fresh lime juice is awesome. You definitely have to plan ahead and make reservations, or you'll be waiting a long time. I'm grateful that they sat us before our whole party arrived. Allowed us to enjoy a drink and guacamole.
Everything about the service was excellent. The food, however, was not up to El Pinto's previous standards. My red chili pork stuffed sopapillas were not hot--spice or stove-wise--and were soggy. El Pinto has great ambiance, but the food is not representative of New Mexican cuisine. Their prices do not compare favorably with other New Mexican food establishments in Albuquerque.
El Pinto is truly a great place to go for any special occasion. It is even good without a special occasion. They take super good care of you, and the food is A+/4 star. My wife and I have been here on several occasions and will be back again. You can bet on it.
Far off the beaten path and worth it. The guacamole is an absolute must order. The salsa is stellar.
Service was incredibly fast, even on a busy holiday. Our waiter (Hunter) was quick and attentive. My food was excellent, my partner didn't care as much for hers. Great options if you like your food spicy!
Was a bit unsure of Prime Rib at a restaurant with known good Mexican food but it was great, and reasonably priced. A nice Valentine's dinner
El Pinto is my favorite place to get New Mexican food. The atmosphere is beautiful and service is great. Food is grown locally, green chili is from Hatch and roaster in site. Flowers and plants are great atmosphere complete with a water fall at entrance. I recommend El Pinto for every day dining and for special occasions.
The tortillas on my enchilada were dry and not enough child sauce no taste at all. What happened to the other cook????? I loved this place but now I won't go back. The chips were greasy and thick the hot sauce is always good But we didn't care for the food. It upset my tummy
Great food and ambiance. Large restaurant but split into several cozy rooms.
Despite the large number of people this restaurant can seat, food is served quickly . Server was attentive but didn't hover. Food has been exceptionally good the three times that we have eaten there. I highly recommend it. There are fireplace rooms for the winter and out door seating in spring to fall is wonderful
Absolutely loved everything about El Pinto!!!!
